Disclaimer – No I do not own Glee or its characters. If I did that would be totally awesome because that would mean I could call and set up a meeting with Sir Darren Criss whenever I wanted to.

Tomorrow was the big day and Blaine couldn’t help but be a little nervous. After all, it had been two years since he had set foot in a public school with the exception of his and Kurt’s prom, but really, a couple hours for a dance doesn’t compare to not attending one for years.

After his problems at his school before Dalton, Blaine never thought he would step foot in a public school again, but then he met Kurt, the love of his life. Yes, even though many people thought he was crazy for referring to Kurt as the love of his life with them both only being seventeen, but it was true. Nobody in the world could ever compare to Kurt and he knew that. It didn’t matter what anyone else thought. Blaine loved Kurt with all his heart and there wasn’t a thing Blaine wouldn’t do for him. If Kurt asked him to do something, it would be done; someway, somehow, no matter what.

Since he met Kurt he noticed he started to get braver. Kurt had always been so brave and even though he transferred to Dalton he was still extremely brave. Kurt transferred to Dalton because he had to, not because he wanted to. He didn’t even think of that as an option until his parents had talked to him about it. Sure he was scared of McKinley but he was still going to try and toughen in out.

Blaine couldn’t understand how Kurt did it. The constant name calling, the constant locker shoves, the constant slushies, the sexual advances by one Dave Karofsky in the locker rooms, and the death threats from Karofsky as well. Kurt was brave as fuck; even after all of that he hadn’t thought about transferring. Just thinking about how brave Kurt was made Blaine love him that much more.

All of that stuff had calmed down a little once Kurt had transferred back to McKinley since he had the entire Glee club to protect him, but Blaine still couldn’t help but feel nervous that once he started at McKinley tomorrow, everything was going to go back to being what it was before Kurt left.

He was scared. He didn’t want to have to put up a guard on a constant basis, he didn’t want to have to fear for his and his boyfriends safety, but being able to be with Kurt on a near constant basis was all it took for all of his fears to be pushed aside. Kurt was the one pro that would outweigh the opposing thousand cons and he was alright with that because he loved him.

Blaine was lying on his bed staring up at the ceiling just thinking about seeing Kurt tomorrow. Sure they had spent pretty much every day of the summer together, but that didn’t matter. If they weren’t together, he wasn’t the happiest boy on earth. He missed him even when he was away from him for no more than thirty minutes. He wanted to spend every possible second with him and even though he knew that wasn’t possible, it didn’t help the thought.

Blaine got up from his bed, walked over to his iPod, and put Teenage Dream on repeat because it was their song and no matter how many times he heard it, it would never get old. He then walked back to his bed, snuggled up under the covers, and drifted off into an amazing sleep while humming along with the music. Tomorrow was going to be a great day.

………………..

Blaine woke up the following morning thirty minutes earlier than usual because he had to pick out an outfit for the day. When he was at Dalton, he had been forced to wear the same uniform for two years straight, but now since he was going back to public school he had so many more options that he didn’t even know where to begin.

He quickly hopped out of bed, grabbed a new pair of boxers from his dresser, and went to take a shower. He did his normal shower routine that consisted of showering while singing his favorite made up shower tune, I’m using the soap! Now I’m using the Sham-pooooooo!

Once he was finished, he debated on what to wear for about ten minutes before deciding on a pair of black jeans, a turquoise v-neck, and of course, his pink sunglasses (Even though he dressed much more casually than Kurt, he still took his time to put together the perfect outfit even if it wasn’t as fabulous as his boyfriends).

He walked out of his room, down the staircase, and into the kitchen to be greeted by his mother. “Morning dear,” his mother said as he walked to the table and sat down. “Are you ready for your big day?”

“Morning mom, yeah I’m ready. I’m just a little nervous ya know?”

She smiled at him. “I thought you might be. That’s why I made you your favorite breakfast in the whole world.”

At hearing this, Blaine was practically drooling. “You made me chocolate chip pancakes!?”

“Of course I did.”

“I knew there was a reason I loved you,” Blaine said smiling a big smile at his mother.

“Well I hope chocolate chip pancakes isn’t the only reason,” she said while returning his smile and putting a big plate of pancakes down on the table in front of him followed by a big cup of coffee.

“Nah, there are a few more,” Blaine said as he started scarfing down his pancakes. He only had a few bites left when his father came into the kitchen and went to kiss his mom on the cheek before pouring himself a cup of coffee and sitting down across from him.

“Morning kid.”

“Morning dad.”

“So today’s the big day. You nervous?” Blaine’s dad asked as he took a sip of coffee and opened up the newspaper.

“Not as much as I was. The pancakes are certainly helping.”

“WHAT! Pancakes! Where?” he said as he quickly closed the newspaper and set it back down on the table.

Blaine and his mom laughed as she put a plate of pancakes in front her husband. “Right here dear, enjoy.”

Blaine and his dad were alike in so many ways. First of all, they looked pretty much identical except for the fact that his dad was a few inches taller than him. They had the same eyes and same facial features. The only difference was the hair. Blaine received his curly hair from his mom. His dad had really straight hair that he always kept really short because it would never grow out no matter how long he tried. It would never go past his forehead and it looked weird with it like that anyways. They both loved sports, particularly football, they both cared for and adored the ones they loved, and of course they both had a major obsession with chocolate chip pancakes.

“Thank you dear. Love you,” he said as he quickly dug into his pancakes possibly faster than Blaine had.

Blaine’s mom poured herself a cup of coffee before joining Blaine and his dad at the table where they just sat for a while and talked about what they each had planned for the day and just joked around.

The time passed and Blaine had to leave for his first day at McKinley. “I’ll see you guys later, love you.”

“Love you too. Good luck!” both of his parents said at the same time as he walked out the door to his car. He hopped in, turned on the radio, and headed off to McKinley.

A GaGa song came on the radio and he just had to sing all out as he kept driving. Sure he preferred Katy Perry to Lady GaGa, but Kurt got him to like her a little more and he listened to her enough that he picked up the lyrics to a majority of her songs; and this one in particular, Born This Way, well, he just couldn’t not sing along.

About ten to fifteen minutes later, Blaine was pulling into the McKinley parking lot. He was relatively early, but he wanted to get there early so he could see Kurt and have Kurt show him where most of his classrooms where. Yeah he’d gotten a tour from Kurt before, but that was just basic information. Now he needed specific directions on where his classrooms were and what were the best and safest ways to go.

He parked his car next to a white jeep and hopped out of his car. Just as he got out, he saw Mercedes hop out of the white jeep. “Damn white boy, you got a Beamer?” she couldn’t take her eyes off his car.

“Uhhh, yeah,” he said nervously. Even though he knew all of Kurt’s friends, they didn’t know just how much money his family had and he didn’t want them to treat them any differently than they had since they met him.

“You lucky bastard,” she said as she smiled and then she shut her door and grabbed him by the arm, dragging him to the school. “Come on, I’ll show you to Kurt’s locker. I know you wanna see ur boy.”

Blaine smiled. Yes, yes he did want to see his boy. He wanted that very much.

They walked through the front doors of the school and Mercedes continued to drag Blaine along to some hallway. He couldn’t really pay attention to where he was going. He was just looking around at everything. This place was much more crowded than Dalton was. Here, there were people everywhere. All he could see was people and it was sort of nice because they weren’t all wearing the exact same thing. Based on the clothes he saw some of the people wearing, he could guess at which group they belonged to in the school.

“How are there so many people here?” he asked. “The parking lot was basically empty!”

Mercedes laughed. “There’s another small parking lot on the other side of the building, but that’s basically where all the jocks and popular kids park. They think they are to cool to park in the same vicinity of us other people.”

“Oh.”

Mercedes dragged him into another hallway and Blaine saw him standing at his locker, doing one final touch up to his hair. A big smile broke across Blaine’s face and he quickly shook off Mercedes to run down the hall towards Kurt.

Kurt hadn’t seen him yet since he was so busy with his hair. Blaine ran up behind him and kissed the back of his neck. Kurt quickly turned around and Blaine had the goofiest smile on his face as he said “Hi.”

Kurt laughed. “Why hello there pup,” Kurt said as he gave Blaine a quick peck on the cheek.

Pup had been the nickname Kurt gave Blaine during the summer since Blaine pretty much always looked like an extremely happy puppy whenever he was around Kurt and Kurt didn’t mind, he thought it was cute. So, he started calling Blaine ‘Pup.’

“Do you know where your classes are yet?” Kurt asked as he closed his locker. “Actually, do you even know where your locker is yet?”

“Nope, I was hoping you could show me,” Blaine said still with a big ass smile on his face. He held out his schedule for Kurt in one hand for Kurt to take while his other hand reached out and grabbed Kurt’s.

They started walking down the hallway when Kurt suddenly stopped after taking a quick glance at Blaine’s schedule. “We just passed your locker. It’s right across from mine on the opposite side of the hall. We’re neighbors!”

Blaine hugged him and then was dragged back down the hall the way they came so Kurt could show Blaine his locker. Once they got to it, Blaine opened it up and threw his backpack in before shutting it and pulling a lock out of his pocket and putting it on the locker.

“Would you mind escorting me to the library so I can get my text books?” Blaine asked Kurt while offering him his arm.

“It would be my pleasure,” Kurt said. He bowed and then linked arms the Blaine and dragged him to the library where one of the librarians took a look at Blaine’s schedule and a few minutes later brought him his stack of text books.

After getting his books, he and Kurt walked back to his locker so he could put all the extremely heavy books in there. Kurt grabbed Blaine’s schedule again and took another glance at it.

“Okay, grab your French book and your history book and whatever else you need, we’ve got our first two periods, lunch, and glee together. YAY!”

Blaine did just what Kurt said. He grabbed his French and history book and shoved them into his backpack along with a notebook and a pen. He then grabbed Kurt’s hand and let Kurt lead them off to French.

French was basically going to be a blow off class and it was also probably going to be the most fun, besides glee that is, because he and Kurt were both already fluent so they could spend the entire class just talking or passing notes to each other and ignore pretty much whatever the teacher said.

The first day of their French class, their teacher gave them each two worksheets as a sort of pretest to see exactly what she needed to work on in the class and both Blaine and Kurt finished it within five minutes and each got a perfect score completely surprising the teacher and leaving her speechless. They spent the rest of the class period passing notes back and forth and just having a good time. Blaine’s first day at McKinley was off to an amazing start.

………………..

The rest of the day passed for Blaine with no problems at all. All of his classes were really easy since a majority of the material he had learned last year at Dalton. He was really liking being back at a public school, especially for his senior year. He was so happy to be able to be lazy and basically slack off the entire year and just have a totally awesome time with his boyfriend and their friends.

Time for glee arrived and Blaine met up with Kurt at their lockers before heading off in that direction together. They were both in wonderful moods because both of their days had been absolutely perfect and they both knew that they were going to get even better once they were in glee.

“So, what song are you going to sing for your ‘audition’?” Kurt asked Blaine as they entered the choir room and sat down next to each other towards the back of the room, waiting for the rest of the New Directions to get there.

“It’s a secret, I can’t tell you,” was all that Blaine said. He ignored Kurt’s questioning glances and follow up questions. All he did was smile.

The rest of New Directions flowed into the room at what it seemed like the same time and they all took their seats while waving hello to Blaine and Kurt.

Mr. Schuster entered the room a few minutes later to announce that they had a new member, said member being Blaine, and everyone at the same time said “Yeah we know. Blaine, go sing your song!”

Blaine pecked Kurt on the cheek and then stood up. He grabbed his chair and brought it to the front of the room. Everybody was confused because there was already a stool there for him if he wanted it, but then he walked back over the Kurt and grabbed his hand and brought him over to the chair and had him sit down. He then walked over to grab one of the guitars before he sat down on the stool facing right at Kurt.

“Okay Kurt, I’m going to let you know the secret now,” Blaine said as he shot another smile at Kurt and started strumming the guitar.

What if I told you it was all meant to be
Would you believe me, would you agree?
It's almost that feeling we met before
So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy
When I tell you love has come here and now

A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Some people search forever for that one special kiss
Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Blaine could feel tears starting to form in his eyes as he sang to Kurt. This was probably the most emotional performance he had ever done in his life and he couldn’t have been happier. He could also see tears coming out of Kurt’s eyes and rolling down his cheeks but he had the biggest smile on his face that Blaine had ever seen.

Everything changes but beauty remains
Something so tender, I can't explain
Well, I may be dreaming but till I awake
Can't we make this dream last forever
And I'll cherish all the love we share

A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Some people search forever for that one special kiss
Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Blaine didn’t notice that every single pair of eyes in the room was crying as well. He just kept his eyes locked on Kurt’s as he kept singing.

Could this be the greatest love of all
I wanna know that you will catch me when I fall
So let me tell you this
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Some people search forever for that one special kiss
Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Oh, moment like this, moment like
Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Oh, like this

As soon as he finished up the song he made another large smile and started to laugh a little, much like when he kissed Kurt for the first time. His eyes were still locked on Kurt’s and he set the guitar down gently on the ground before walking over to him and giving him one of the biggest hugs he had ever given (even bigger than the hug he had given him after he sang “Somewhere Only We Know).

Kurt returned the hug just as eagerly, still crying from the song and a few seconds later, broke the hug and gave Blaine the most passionate kiss he ever had.

Blaine returned it with as much passion as Kurt.

Blaine barely heard Mr. Schu in the background say “Blaine, welcome to New Directions.” He was just so happy to be with Kurt and he was happy to let the world know that.

Yep, this was going to be an amazing year.

A/N – Song was ‘A Moment Like This’ by Kelly Clarkson. Review please.
