Saying Kurt was excited was an understatement.

Not only was his boyfriend going to school at McKinley there was more opportunity of seeing him outside the usual blazer and tie combination. Not even just the uniform but red and blue and general. While red was Kurt's favorite color on Blaine, he wanted to see more. He'd spent the drive to Blaine's house dreaming of Blaine in this shirt, Blaine in these pants, and what colors would go best with his eyes.

When Kurt pulled into Blaine's driveway he was greeted by his boyfriend running out the door and attacking him with kisses, like an excited puppy. This made up for time they couldn't spend together due to busy schedules and not living the closest distancewise.

"Hi, I missed you too," Kurt said. It had been a while since they'd seen each other with conflicting schedules and with the Hummel-Hudson's first annual vacation. (to Cleveland but Kurt gave his dad credit for trying.)

Blaine simply smiled at his boyfriend and blushed, a little embarrassed but his enthusiasm.

Kurt backed away and studied Blaine's appearance. Basketball shorts. Dalton academy sweatshirt. Chuck taylors. No socks. Although he knew Blaine probably didn't plan on leaving his house today, Kurt had to try to grimace. Normally he wouldn't care, because honestly he thought Blaine looked beautiful in anything he put on, but today he had fashion on the mind and he was seizing the opportunity.

"Checking me out, huh?" Blaine joked, "No need I'm already your's." Kurt rolled his eyes and grabbed Blaine's hand dragging up to his room and throwing open his closet doors examining its contents.

The only other place Kurt had seen so much blue and red and stripes besides the American flag was Dalton Academy. He sighed and turned to Blaine with an expression that read, 'You've got to be kidding me, honey.'

"What?" Blaine asked furrowing his brow. Kurt looked from Blaine's closet and his confused boyfriend several times. He could be so oblivious. He took Blaine's hand in his and said, "We're going shopping."

Blaine's eyes widened.

Blaine waited to the side patiently while Kurt looked through clearance racks of clothing. If shopping were a sport, Blaine was sure his boyfriend would make the varsity team.

"Alright let's go," Kurt said heading towards the dressing room with clothes in his arms.

Kurt was careful to pick out clothes he thought Blaine would like. Yes he wanted Blaine to look nice but he didn't want to make him uncomfortable either.

Kurt waited outside Blaine's dressing room waiting for him to try on clothes and critiquing them when he emerged. Kurt had also gone back several times when things didn't seem to fit right or he had other ideas.

It was really hard picking clothes when your boyfriend is such a hobbit. A hobbit who clearly didn't know what a shopping trip with Kurt Hummel was like. After a few hours of trying clothes on and off Blaine was starting to look worn out. This would just be the beginning for Kurt but he understood that shopping wasn't entirely Blaine things.

"This would be more fun if you were taking my clothes off me," Blaine said from the dressing room. Kurt laughed but to be honest, Blaine's exasperation cloaked Kurt's ability to tell if he was joking or not.

Finally Blaine came out of the dressing room with the last thing Kurt had picked out and one of few he let Blaine help with. Kurt's eyes widened a little bit as he stared at him, looking at himself in the mirror. He was sporting the green, plaid shirt with the bowtie and the dress pants and shoes.

"What do you think?" Blaine said turning to face him.

"You're gorgeous," Kurt blurted out without thinking. Blaine smiled sheepishly but Kurt couldn't help but notice that he stood with a little bit more confidence than he was earlier today when he was in other outfits or in his sweatpants. He stood a little taller and his eyes were literally shining. It made Kurt really happy to see his boyfriend looking so confident and proud outside his uniform.

"It still needs something," Kurt said with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Well there were these green suspenders I saw…" Blaine muttered as if he didn't really care for the idea but in reality he loved the suspenders.

"Perfect!" Kurt exclaimed running off to retrieve them. He was so excited about this. When he returned he helped Blaine fasten them and stepped back next to Blaine looking at both of them in the mirror, "You look good."

"We look good," Blaine corrected Kurt, making him smile and blush like an idiot. Kurt leaned over and kissed his boyfriend on the cheek.

"Come on," he said, "Let's go home." After paying for the clothes that fit and putting back the ones that didn't, Blaine was back in his basketball shorts, sweatshirt, and chuck taylors and not ten minutes later he was curled up in his seat with his knees to his chest asleep in the passenger seat of Kurt's car. Blaine was not the shopper that Kurt was because clearly it had worn him out. Kurt smiled and leaned forward to brush some curls away and kiss his boyfriend on the forehead. He decided to let Blaine sleep on the way back to his house.

When they pulled back into Blaine's driveway, Kurt reached over and gently shook his boyfriend awake.

"Wake up, Blaine," he said, "We're home." Blaine's eyes fluttered open and he smiled sleepily at Kurt.

"I fell asleep?" he said still smiling but with a hint of confusion in his shining eyes.

"You sure did, babe," Kurt said smiling and kissing his forehead again, "Let's go inside and take a nap, okay?" Blaine nodded happily as he climbed out of the car and followed Kurt to the couch in the living room. Soon they were cuddled together and Kurt was lazily running his hands through Blaine's ungelled hair.

"Kurt?" Blaine yawned sleepily.

"Yes, love?"

"I'm sorry that I'm not very fashionable."

Kurt laughed a little bit, "Oh Blaine. You don't have to be fashionable all the time. Only some times. Preferably when I want you to be."

Blaine smiled up to him, "Deal."

"I love you just the way you are, okay?" Kurt said placing a light kiss on Blaine's lips.

"Okay. I love you too," Blaine said burying his face into Kurt's neck, "Never change."

They soon fell asleep curled up in one another.
