Kurt and Blaine have a daughter named Lea and they could not be happier. (And yes I did steal the name Lea from the one and only Lea Michele)
“Daddy, where’s Gaga? I can’t find her anywhere!” Lea asked running around her bedroom frantically searching for her new puppy.
“She’s under the couch Princess. Don’t worry, we got her.” Kurt called to his daughter before picking up their yellow Labrador retriever.
“Gaga needs to stop hiding from Lea, or she’s going to go insane from looking for her.” Blaine said quietly taking Gaga out of Kurt’s arms.
“Well, if she’s happy in the process, so am I.” Kurt said kissing his husband’s unshaven cheek before he started up the stairs. He entered Lea’s room and sat down on her bed. For a five year old, Lea had an amazing sense of style in basically everything she did. Kurt knew that she possessed this talent thanks to him, but he would never admit it to Blaine. Lea walked over to Kurt and sat on his lap with a ginormous smile on her face. “Lea, I think you should keep the door closed whenever you play with Gaga up here okay?” Kurt asked softly stroking her curly brown hair.
“But Daddy, she needs her exercise! The pet lady said that puppies need exercise every day to stay healthy and live. I don’t want Gaga to get sick and die!” She whined into his shoulder. Kurt had noticed this before, but he could never get over the fact that she acted and looked so much like the both of them; although they decided that Blaine would technically be the father. She had Blaine’s curly hair texture and Kurt’s hair color. She had Blaine’s hazel eyes and Kurt’s nose. She had Blaine’s jaw and Kurt’s lips. Her skin tone was a little darker than Kurt’s but a little lighter than Blaine’s. She was short like Blaine and she had his ability to put a smile on anyone’s face no matter what type of situation they were in. She had Kurt’s fashion sense and love for all things colors. She got her love of music, movies, and Broadway from both of her fathers. Once they decided that they weren’t going to adopt, they asked- well not really because she basically forced them to- Rachel Berry, a very close from high school and college to be the surrogate mother because of her beauty and flawless talent. The fact that they chose Rachel to be the surrogate mother really made no difference to the appearance to the child because Lea looked nothing like Rachel.
Of course Kurt and Blaine had their concerns, but they would never look a gift horse in the mouth. They had a beautiful, articulate, fashionable daughter, and they could not be happier. Sure, things were tense sometimes when Blaine came home late from work. He was a very successful lawyer and Kurt fully understood. He was a successful fashion designer in New York and he was just happy that he could share the role of the working husband with Blaine. No matter where they went, they brought Lea. No one ever minded because Lea was such a well-behaved child…when she felt like being one. Other times, Lea could be a terror. Kurt began to sing Lea a lullaby when he felt her head bob back and forth and saw her eyes fighting to stay open, and rocked her in his arms.
“Hush little baby don’t say a word. Daddy’s gonna buy you a mocking bird. And if that mocking bird don’t sing, Daddy’s gonna buy you a diamond ring. And if that diamond ri…” He sang until he was interrupted by Lea’s quiet snoring. He smiled to himself and carefully placed Lea under the covers. “Goodnight Princess.” He whispered kissing her forehead. He began descending the stairs to snuggle with Blaine on the sofa when he heard Lea’s door open.
“Daddy, you forgot to say I love you.” She said rubbing her eyes and swaying back and forth. Kurt and Blaine exchanged knowing glasses and took off after her. The tickle war has begun.
“Okay, okay! I SURRENDER!” Kurt shouted throwing his hands up in defeat.
“Ha! One daddy down, one to go!” She shouted between breaths. She had been chasing after Blaine once he had gently yet forcefully pulled her to the ground until she was able to wiggle out of his grasp. Blaine was hiding somewhere in the house, and Lea would not rest until she found him.
“Daddy, come out come out wherever you are!” Lea called out giggling loudly. She searched all the bedrooms and her father was still nowhere to be found. Kurt snuck up from behind her and grabbed her. She screamed from the contact but was calm once she realized that he was guiding her towards her father. Blaine ran out of his hiding spot and sprinted to Lea and Kurt.
“I heard Lea scream. Is she okay?” Blaine asked worriedly. Kurt nodded at Lea who was now getting closer to Blaine.
“I’m fine Daddy. But you won’t be!” She screamed chasing after Blaine. Blaine started running as if his life depended on it, but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw that Lea and Kurt had cornered him. Lea leaned in closer wriggling her fingers with a huge evil grin on her face. She tickled Blaine with all the energy she had left in her tiny body. Once she was out of energy, she practically collapsed on top of Blaine. Blaine carried her up the stairs, placed her in bed, and kissed her goodnight with Kurt doing the same. They walked to their bedroom hand in hand and went to sleep that night dreaming about the crazy adventures with Lea that they would share in the future. The Hummel-Anderson household was complete and not even all the names and disgusted looks could break the barrier of love that they have created. This is what they’ve dreamt of for their entire lives, and now, they finally had it.
