Author's Notes: A one shot I wrote on tumblr, after watching 3.10 and left needing more Klaine.
At first, Kurt felt happy for Mr. Schuester. He cheered along with the rest of New Directions, and offered his congratulations to the man. A wedding was always a reason for celebration, so why would he let his dislike for the man ruin the spirit of joy around the air?

After a few seconds, though, Schuester’s announcement wasn’t what kept Kurt smiling.

Blaine was so excited, even if he only knew the teacher for about five months, and barely talked to him. But where there was people happy, Blaine was happy. And therefore, Kurt was happy. He started mirroring Blaine’s excitement and raised his hands, laughing.

Blaine’s eyes found Kurt’s. The enthusiasm remained, the huge grin still in its place, but now he had a more relaxed posture.

When Schuester started talking about the assignment of the week, telling the club to find songs for him to propose, Kurt decided to shut him out, and turn back to Blaine.

He was approached by Artie shortly after, inviting him to a performance more upbeat and less teary. He was also told Blaine had already agreed, which made Kurt feel so happy for Blaine, because he was finally fitting in with those guys, and Kurt knew how much that meant to Blaine.

However, Kurt refused the offer, giving Artie a quick lie about an essay and NYADA.

It was subconscious now.

Hours after, the girls lead them to the bathroom, and asked what songs he thought they could do.

“Sorry, girls, I’m not participating in this week’s assignment. Just the final number, I’m assuming there’s one. There’s always one.”

“Why not?” Santana questioned.

“Because I have things to do,” Kurt said. “But good luck! Tell me how it goes.”

Kurt left the bathroom and went to his locker, where his boyfriend was waiting for him.

“Hello, I believe you are blocking my locker,” Kurt said, and briefly touched Blaine’s hand. They knew the hallway wasn’t safe for them, but sometimes they just needed those small touches.

“Whoops,” Blaine said, moving away. “So, Artie told me you won’t join the performance.”

“That’s right. But I heard you are helping with outfits. I’m so proud!”

Blaine laughed. “Well, my boyfriend inspires me to aid people with their fashion choices.” Kurt laughed along with Blaine. He closed his locker and leaned against it. “Are you going to tell me why?”

“You know Mr Schuester is not my favorite. And telling us to find him songs? Tacky. Worse, using it as a Glee assignment. We should be getting ready for our next competition.”

“I know, and I sorta agree with you there. But it’s fun, a nice thing to start the year with.” Blaine shrugged, trying to be nonchalant about it.

“Blaine, I know you are dying to sing with the guys.” Kurt tucked a curl behind his ear. The hallway wasn’t as full as minutes before, so he didn’t worry about glares. “And I’ll be at my secret spot in the auditorium, watching you perform.”

“You can just sit in the first row,” Blaine told him.

“Yes, but my idea is more fun. So…when you are on that stage, give your best.” And with a wink, Kurt headed to his next class.

And sure thing, Kurt watched from the balcony as Blaine gave his best, moving his body to the music and running his hand down the mic stand. It made Kurt blush and his heart beat faster.

Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt’s waist. “You liked?” He asked. Kurt nodded in response, and taking advantage of the empty auditorium, kissed Blaine on the lips.

Neither of them minded that they were both late for class.

Days after, Rachel sat in front of Glee, singing her heart out. She had an amazing voice, and while Kurt thought her song choice could have been a different one, he was actually enjoying her song.

When Blaine leaned toward him and kissed his cheek, he no longer paid attention to Rachel. He kept notice on the lyrics, though, glancing at Blaine a few times. Once, their gazes met and they smiled at each other.

Kurt didn’t imagine himself really smiling if he hadn’t met Blaine.

After Mr Schuester’s proposal (which Kurt had to admit was kind of sweet, in a way) New Directions members stayed in the pool, goofing around and swimming. Sam was showing off his swimming skills, trying to impress Mercedes. And judging by the smile she tried to hide, it was working.

Blaine circled his arms around neck, pulling their bodies flushed together. “Hi. I love you.”

“I love you, too,” Kurt whispered, hugging Blaine. “Let’s do something tonight, anything.”

“It’s a date. Dinner at my house?” Blaine asked.

“Sure.” Kurt smiled.

“Have you ever wondered what it’s like kissing underwater?”

“Wha—” Kurt started but he was pulled under the water and Blaine’s lips pressed to his.
