Kurt watched Blaine with adoring eyes he said his vows. Self penned, they spoke of pasts and futures, promises of forever and breakfast in bed on Sunday. A small laugh rolled through the audience at that, he always was a charmer. Blaine spoke through a grin; unable to stop his eyes from crinkling in the way they did when he was truly and deeply happy. Kurt thought he had never seen him as happy as he looked today.

His suit was perfect, accentuating his handsomeness rather than overwhelming it. Kurt couldn't have picked a better one for him if he tried. The cut made him broad in the shoulders, narrow in the hips, made his legs look longer, though his soon to be husband still had to look down on him. His hair was gelled, as always, but it looked as though someone had helped him, styling it, rather than gluing it to his scalp.

A hand, tangled in Kurt's, squeezed his, reassurance and love all in one simple flex of muscle. He squeezed back, a silent, "I know". There were tears pricking at his eyes, everything in front of him swimming for a moment. Damn it, he told himself he wouldn't cry.

When the celebrant announced that the couple were now husbands and may kiss, Kurt jumped to his feet, clapping with the rest of the guests. He leaned over to press a kiss to his own husband, sitting next to him. As the happy couple retreated up the aisle, now hand in hand, Blaine shot Kurt a wink, never once having stopped smiling.

An hour later the new Misters Anderson-Wyght had returned from having their photos taken and were now mingling amongst the guests, thanking everyone for coming. Kurt was sitting at his table with Kavi, his husband of two years. He knew Blaine would make his way over to him eventually, for now he gave his best friend time to revel in the love and well wishes that were pouring in for the new couple.

It wasn't until after dinner, just before dessert was served that a soft voice sounded in Kurt's ear, "You haven't congratulated me yet." Unperturbed, Kurt took a sip of champagne, "Well, I just didn't want your head to get too big. I mean, all you did was dress up and make out with a handsome man." He turned around with a grin, sharing it with Blaine for just a second before standing up to hug the shorter man. "You did good."

When they broke apart Blaine's gaze drifted over to the table where Hamish was talking to an elderly woman Kurt assumed was his grandmother. It seemed that whenever Blaine's attention wasn't one hundred precent focused it drifted back to his husband.

Kavi, stood, after having given the pair a moment, and shook Blaine's hand. "Congratulations, it was a beautiful ceremony."

Blaine smiled, "Thank you." He turned to Kurt, "See, that's all I was looking for." There was a playful gleam in his eyes, the deep undercurrent of happiness never fully masked, Kurt remembered the feeling well, two years seeming like it was yesterday.

Blaine was once again gazing across the room, this time the look returned, longing shared between the pair. Kurt kissed his best friend on the cheek, bringing his attention back, before nodding his head in the direction of Hamish, "Go on."

Blaine smiled and hugged Kurt briefly, "Thank you." Before he was off and across the room, already at his husband's side before Kurt even had the chance to sit back down.

Feeling the smile on his own face at seeing Blaine so happy, Kurt turned to Kavi, placing his hand on his cheek and kissing him softly. "Love you, too." Kavi whispered when they broke apart.

Kurt cried like a baby during the first dance. He couldn't help it, the romance of the whole affair got to him. There was something about the way Blaine and Hamish moved together, swaying perfectly with the music, their eyes never leaving each other.

They danced to music Kurt and Blaine had discussed a hundred times before Kurt had finally snapped and told Blaine he should decide this with his future husband. He got a text the next day with simply the name of the song.

Towards the end, when others had joined the newly weds on the dance floor, Kurt realised he had literally never seen Blaine this happy and the full weight of that, the true meaning had only just come to him.

In the five years he and Blaine had been together, through all their ups and downs, he had never been for Blaine what Hamish was. Kurt had never been quite enough and it made him sniff that little bit harder, until a warm, brown hand appeared in front of his eyes, followed by a dazzling smile and a smooth voice, "May I have this dance?"

Kurt nodded, wiping his eyes on his sleeve before taking his hand their rings clicking together as they made their way out onto the dance floor. He may not have been everything for Blaine, but neither was Blaine everything for him.

Kurt and Kavi were amongst the last left on the dance floor, slowly swaying together, slightly out of time with the music, perfectly in sync with their hearts. It was getting late, and the champagne was making them sleepy and the way Kavi slapped his ass signalled it was time to go home.
Kurt kissed his husband, whispering "One minute." He left him to find Blaine, sitting at a table in the corner, watching Hamish dance with Mrs Anderson, who, from the way she stumbled, was fairly drunk.

"Hey, you."

"Hi."

"We're heading off."

"No." Blaine looked a little disappointed.

"Come on now, you've got a bridal suite waiting for you. Don't you want us to clear off?"

The newlywed's grin returned. "Yeah. Kinda."

"You know I'm still going to call you Anderson when I get upset, I don't care whose name you've taken." Kurt bumped his shoulder against his best friend's.

"I thought this would be us. For so long."

"Me, too."

"But this is better, isn't it?" Blaine turned to Kurt. His intention wasn't to be mean, or to belittle their relationship, what they had now was so much better than they could have imagined when they were seventeen.

"Yeah. It's really is." Kurt could see Kavi folding both their jackets over his arm, preparing to leave. "I'm so happy for you, Blaine."

"Me too."

Kurt faced his friend and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "Have a wonderful night, I'll call you in the morning for all the details." He stood, starting towards the exit.

"Good night, Kurt."

"Good night, Mr Anderson-Wyght."
