Author's Notes: Honestly, I just rambled. Idk what even was my point.
"Dad?" thirteen-year-old Bailey walked into the kitchen where her dad, Kurt, was busy preparing breakfast.

"Yeah, sweetheart?" he asked, distracted.

"What is the setting I put my sheets on?"

"Usually it goes on- wait," Kurt paused in speech and cooking, "You have never wanted to do any laundry ever. What's up?"

"Oh," she hesitated, "I just wanted to help you out for once."

"Not buying it," Kurt commented. Bailey heaved a sigh.

"What's wrong?" Kurt asked his daughter, wiping his hands on a napkin. He led them to sit at the table, but she wouldn't have it.

"Just tell me how to do my laundry!" she yelled unexpectedly, refusing to be touched.

"Whoa, Bailey. Do NOT talk to me like that," Kurt commanded, honestly surprised at the outburst. Bailey sighed once again; she couldn't win. Silence filled the kitchen.

"Oh," Kurt dumbly said. Maybe he had it figured out. After all, he did live with Rachel for a year in college. Why else would a girl be so secretive about her sheets? Bailey hung her head and sat.

"Did you, uh, start?" Silence for a minute.

"Yes," Bailey mumbled, barely audible. She jumped when Kurt let out a yell.

"Uhm… Blaine?" Kurt cried out loudly to his husband and stood up. His daughter, Bailey, held her face in her hands.

"Yeah, honey?" came the distant reply off in their three-year-old son, Caden's, room.

"Could you come to the kitchen?" Kurt all but begged.

"Oh my god," Bailey whispered, mortified out of her tween mind. Shortly, her father, Blaine, came bustling into the kitchen.

"What happened?" he questioned at the sight of their faces.

"It's time," Kurt simply stated.

"Wait, what? The baby's coming?" he stammered, looking between the two.

"Oh my god, BLAINE," Kurt retorted exasperatedly. "It's actually completely opposite." Blaine really had to think hard. The long silence perpetrated even their thoughts.

"Oh."

"Stop saying that!" Bailey finally piped up. "It's embarrassing."

"Oh, no no no, Bailey. It's part of growing up. Guys have to go through stuff just as awkward," Blaine comforted with an arm around his daughter.

"Really?" she asked curiously.

"Yeah, umm, I'd rather not go into detail with you about that," he rubbed the back of his neck and said.

"Yeah, please don't."

"So, do you need, uh, feminine products?" Kurt offered with just a bit of uncertainty. Bailey didn't trust her voice. She nodded.

"Some stuff is underneath our sink in our bathroom," Blaine piped in.

"I think you would be much more comfortable asking Rachel about how to… do that stuff," Kurt added. Everyone shifted back and forth on their feet in the kitchen.

"What about my laundry?" Bailey wondered.

"I got it. Don't be embarrassed,"Kurt said and left to retrieve the sheets.

"Yeah, this has been an awkward morning," Blaine commented.

"You bet," she mumbled. Both father and daughter sat at the table with their head in their hands, relieved the talk was over. No more awkwardness.

"At least she's not pregnant!" Kurt called out from the laundry room.
