Blame fate.
A little story about Kurt and Blaine's Honeymoon. Shameless fluff. Also, this is my first klaine fanfiction, so reviews and critiques would be beyond helpful.

Kurt Hummel-Anderson sighed softly in relief as he slid down into the warm water, turning the faucet off once he was sitting down. His eyes closed instantly as he relaxed his shoulders, slowly resting his back against the cool back of the marble clawfoot tub. He slid down into the tub until the bubbles reached his shoulders, a soft smile coming to his lips at the pure silence surrounding him. It was the first time in weeks he’s slowed down; taken time to just be quiet and ponder over everything that had happened to him in those weeks.
And there was certainly a lot to think over.
Kurt had been to New York City once before, in high school, but this experience was completely different. This time, Blaine was sitting next to him on the airplane, holding his hand the whole way there and refusing to look out of the window from fear of heights. This time, his family was there with him; and he watched his father, who’d never been out of their sleepy town of Lima, Ohio, see New York for the first time, his eyes as wide in wonder as a child’s.
And this time, he married the love of his life.
Kurt’s sky blue eyes opened sleepily, glancing down at the silver band that was wrapped perfectly around the fourth finger on his left hand. Usually, he didn’t notice it. It wasn’t too flashy, just a simple band with the initials “K” and “B” inscribed on the inside of each of the boy’s matching rings. Kurt usually liked bold, non-traditional things. However, he approved of Blaine’s simple choice with the rings. They were classic, they were effortlessly beautiful. He liked the way to cool metal felt on his soft skin whenever Blaine reached out his hand to hold on to Kurt’s, He liked the soft clink the rings made when they touched as Blaine and Kurt’s hands came palm to palm.
Something had felt so right about New York, and Kurt was reminded of exactly why he had that constant, wonderful, happy feeling as he heard the elevator doors of the penthouse open and close quietly, Blaine’s keys making a more audible sound as the man set them down on the glass table in the entryway. Kurt squinted slightly at the clock that was barely visible to him through the open doorway, the clock blinking out the time “12:03” from its place on the nightstand by the bed.
He’d been daydreaming in the bathtub for little over half an hour.
Kurt started to sit up a bit, whimpering softly as the cold air hit his chest. However, he didn’t get one limb out of the tub before spotting Blaine, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes were wandering their way up and down Kurt’s bare chest, causing the other boy to clear his throat, a soft smirk coming to his pink lips.
“Where’s the champagne?” Kurt asked softly, watching as his husband stride across the long bathroom floor, kneeling into front of the tub.
“Kitchen.” He replied simply before leaning over the edge of the tub to kiss Kurt’s lips softly, lingering against his jawline for a while before pulling back to look into the other man’s crystal blue eyes. “Do you mind if I Join you for a while?”
Kurt’s smile widened a bit as he nodded, his legs immediately folding in to make room for Blaine on the other side of the tub. It wasn’t completely necessary, the tub could easily fit both of them comfortably, But Kurt knew Blaine would close the distance between them the moment he got into the tub.
Kurt distracted himself from watching Blaine undress at an agonizingly slow rate by running more warm water and adding more bubbles. It was a bit ridiculous, after all this time he still felt that knot twisting in his stomach. He still felt a bit insecure when he was with Blaine, no matter the countless times Blaine had told him he had no reason to be.
Kurt’s eyes closed again, relaxing as he listened to the soft hum of the water running and Blaine carefully lowering himself into the tub. He’d barely opened his eyes to turn off the running water when the familiar feel of Blaine’s soft lips crashed against his, Blaine pulling him a bit closer by his hips. He couldn’t stop his instincts as the kiss lingered slowly on and on, one of Kurt’s hands slipping out of the water and into Blaine’s soft, non-gelled curls. He chuckled softly as their lips parted, brushing the bubbles that were tickling Blaine’s cheek away by stroking his cheek softly with his thumb.
“Tired?” Blaine asked softly, leaning in to Kurt’s soft touch.
“A little. . . But today was going to be our lazy sleep-in-late day anyway. We have a whole week to sight-see.” He reminded him, letting out a soft little yawn.
Blaine smiled at the sight of Kurt’s adorable little yawn, fighting back a yawn of his own. They were having the time of their lives on their honeymoon, but by the end of the night they were both so tired and worn out. They’d spend all day shopping and going around the city, among other Honeymoon activities. But it was so surreal to fall asleep together at the end of every day, something they’d never done before even in their engagement.
Kurt’s legs tangled over Blaine’s as the short boy pulled him in, wrapping his arms around his back securely. Kurt leaned into him immediately, resting his chin on Blaine’s strong shoulder idly. He couldn’t hear the never-ending traffic outside, just the steady beat of Blaine’s heart. It was easy to ignore the outside world, everything they’d gone through and everything they were yet to go through, when he was in Blaine’s arms.
“I feel so safe here.” Kurt heard his mouth mutter against Blaine’s skin, barely aware it was actually him who’s said the words.
“Me too.” Was Blaine’s equally soft reply, his warm, wet hands running up and down Kurt’s back slowly. Kurt let his hands rest on Blaine’s hips, smiling lightly as he felt the lukewarm water trailing down his back as Blaine rubbed his lightly calloused hands in circles into Kurt’s soft, sensitive skin.
“Hey kurt? This is kind of a weird question…” Blaine started, his hands still moving in the same circulair motions. “But do you ever think of what would’ve happened if I hadn’t stopped to help you on the stairs that day at Dalton?...If it was someone else? If you’d left before you heard me sing?....Do…Do you think we’d be together?” There was a long pause as Blaine wondered about what he was asking, the last of his comment a bit softer.
“ Do you think we’d be here now?”
After a while of no reply, Blaine turned his head to see something quite familiar, something that never got old for him.
Kurt was breathing evenly against Blaine’s skin, his perfect lips parted lightly, his long eyelashes brushing against his pink cheeks as he slept soundly.
Blaine smiled at the sight of his beautiful husband, who still looked so innocent and peaceful as he slept. He kept quite as he snaked his arm backwards, letting the water drain from the tub, the few suds from the bubbles washing away with them.
It was a bit difficult to towel himself and half-asleep Kurt off, but once they were dry enough Blaine carried Kurt to their bed with ease, laying him down softly against the pillows. Kurt immediately yawned again cutely and snuggled his face into the pillows, his body curling into a fetal position. Blaine Smiled as he climbed into bed behind him, draping and arm over Kurt’s thin waist, nuzzling his face against the taller boy’s back.
As Blaine watched Kurt falling asleep again, his delicate fingers clutching up the sheets in a little fist, he knew.
He knew how lucky he was. He knew how far their relationship had come from who they were in Dalton. He knew It didn’t matter when they met, maybe that was just fate. He knew It didn’t matter why or how they met, though they both knew they were a mess before they found each other.
He knew the answer to his question, just by looking at the silver band on Kurt’s finger.
There was no reason, and there was no explanation as to why they’d met just when they did, when they needed each other the most.
All he really knew was that he never had to worry about it ending.
And there was certainly a lot to think over.

I love how sweet and natural this is!
i liked this a lot. i have a certain idea of what a honeymoon scene looks like. and those are very sexy. but this was so sensual without being graphic at all. i loved the feeling of peace, tranquility, and serenity. job well done!
Thank you so much for reviewing :) I'm so glad you liked it & had the same feeling about the mood of the story as I did when i was writing it. "Sensual without being graphic" was exactly what i was going for <3
Very cute little one-shot!
Thank you :)
