Kurt and Blaine have a bonding moment over homework.
"Kurt, dinner's ready!" Burt knocked on the door and waited for a reply. But, to no avail, there was no answer.
Burt opened the door a jar to peek inside and saw no movement. He finally decided to open the door fully and came upon his son, Kurt and his beloved boyfriend, Blaine sleeping amongst a pile of homework and text books. A debate whether he should wake them up or not was in his head, but ended up deciding to just leave them there.
They were doing nothing harmless, he thought. Just Blaine laying his head on his sons chest and their legs slightly in a tangled mess. Kurt slept soundly and was laying his head on top of Blaine's as he, Blaine, was softly snoring with his mouth agape.
Burt smiled to himself and backed out of the room, closing the door. They'll wake up hungry eventually. And when they do, they'll have dinner then. Burt left them a note on the kitchen counter telling them exactly that their food was now in the fridge and if he was sleeping himself, to please not wake him up. Not to mention the 'Love, Dad' at the end.
"It's no use!" Kurt exclaimed, "I'm not going to learn this by Friday's test!"
Kurt was frustrated, as Blaine could tell. Kurt tried not to show it because he didn't feel like going through all of the advice Blaine would all of a sudden come up with. Needless to say, Blaine begain, "I told you that you should have started studying earlier."
Blaine was just given a glare before Kurt went back to re-reading his notes and textbooks. Blaine thought of ways to cheer Kurt up. He didn't like to see him upset in any shape or form. He decided to hug Kurt from behind and lay his chin on his right shoulder, nuzzling his neck.
Kurt sighed and started rubbing his forehead. He placed the homework on the floor, "I'm taking a break from all of this."
"Good!" Blaine perked up and sat up. He took a seat next to Kurt and stared at him, "You've been studying for a good couple of hours. You need a break."
Kurt just stared at the floor, eyes slowly drooping, head drifting downwards towards his chest.
"Someone's getting sleepy," Blaine obviously called out. Soon enough, his boyfriend started falling foward toward the floor, "Woah!" Blaine grabbed him in time and pulled him back onto the bed.
Blaine shifted himself and Kurt for a minute or two before finding a comfortable cuddle spot on Kurts bed. Kurt lazily opened his eyes and looked at Blaine, "Would you still love me if I got an F on this test?"
Blaine chuckled and smoothed out his clothes before answering, "Yes. Yes, I will, but I just would've wished you would've tried harder."
Kurt shook his head, "Nope, not going to get accomplished tonight."
Blaine chucked again and looked back at his sleepy boyfriend, "Kurt," he softly spoke. Kurt softly gave a 'Hmm?' before Blaine continued, "I... I love you. Okay?"
Kurt fully laid his head on his pillows and nodded. Blaine smiled to himself and started drawing random, invisible art with his finger on Kurts arm. Kurt smiled hazily and closed his eyes again, "I love you, Blaine... so much."
Blaine looked over at Kurt as he fell asleep soundlessly. Blaine only kept looking for a minute or two more before resting his head on Kurts chest. He looked aorund his boyfriends room a bit, coming to remember his new santuary from home. His place of haven where he wouldn't worry and could rest easy. He felt Kurts chest rise and fall slowly to his breathing. Blaine smiled to himself and never felt so lucky to feel loved and like he belonged somewhere without any judgement. And at that, he hugged Kurt tighter around the waist and fell asleep, ready to take on his new found adventures with Kurt.
