“Kurt, come on.” Blaine chuckled, leaning against the metal base of the teeter-totter. “Just for like, two minutes. Please?” He knew it was hopeless, how could he not? Kurt didn’t seem like the type to willingly get his designer pants dirty on the grubby old metal of a children’s park-
“Fine.” Kurt offered with a little grin. He put one foot on each side of the obviously uncomfortable metal seat and looked at Blaine with a What are you waiting for? look. It didn’t take much more than that for Blaine to scramble into action, mounting his own seat.
With a gentle kick, he was flying towards the sky, the biggest grin on his face. And then he was falling, sending Kurt into the air instead. He watched every movement the other made, watching the little ‘o’ that his mouth formed in surprise as his butt moved just the slightest bit into the air above the seat before falling back into place.
“You scared, Hummel?” He teased softly.
“Oh, never.” Kurt offered, giving his boyfriend a playful glare. When his feet touched the ground, he kicked off hard, letting Blaine hit the ground harder.
And so it began, the war of who could kick harder. Each time one of them put their feet on the ground, they kicked off as hard as they could muster, sending the other’s heart into the smallest state of panic as they fell just a little slower than the seat below them seemed to move, always putting that bit of space between their body and the metal contraption.
Watching Kurt’s giggles, the way his mouth seemed to move so easily over the sound, that was the thing that made Blaine Anderson’s heart beat the hardest.
“You’re a pro at this,” Blaine mused with a grin.
“I wouldn’t be surprised, I’m amazing at everything,” Kurt grinned.
“I never saw you as a Teeter-Totter-er.” Blaine offered offhandedly.
“Then you don’t know me that well at all. I loved the teeter-totter.” Kurt said with a raise of his brows as he kicked off hard, causing Blaine’s bum to smack against the metal harshly as he hit the ground.
“Now why didn’t I guess that?” The dark haired male asked, not kicking off this time.
“Maybe you were judging a book by his designer cover?” Kurt mused, and shrugged. “Are you going to let me down?”
“How can I when you belong in the clouds?” Blaine asked, flashing him a brilliant smile, watching Kurt give him that ‘how did I end up with someone so sappy?’ face.
But he honestly thought it was completely true.
