Author's Notes: I don't own Glee. If I did Kurt would have gotten in and Rachel would be left in Ohio.

Blaine walked into the hospital and entered the elevator.  He knew where to go as Kurt had visited earlier in the day.  Everyone was walking around in a state of shock over what had happened, Blaine just felt relief that Dave hadn’t succeeded as even after all he had put Kurt through Blaine couldn’t wish that upon him.

Blaine came to Dave’s room and looked through the glass panel in the door.  Dave was sitting alone staring ahead.  He lightly knocked the door then walked in.  Dave looked over as he entered the room.

“Blaine?  I’m sorry I didn’t ask him to come see me.  Please don’t be mad.”  Blaine held both his hands up in surrender.

“Hey, I’ve come to see how you are and start again … to see if we could maybe friends.”

“Why? I terrorised your boyfriend for years then tried to steal him off you.  Why would you want to?”  Blaine sat in a chair next to the bed.

“Believe it or not it could have easily been me lying where you are now.”

“Yeah right your even more comfortable with who you are than Kurt is.  You’re the one who helped fix him after everything I did to him.”

“That wasn’t always the case.  Before I went to Dolton I was bullied cause I was the only kid that was openly gay.  I used to go to bed every night thinking of all the ways I could kill myself.  Luckily I had a very nosy older brother, who read the signs and stopped me before I tried anything.”

“Wow…I had no idea.”

“Well it’s not something I shout about but it’s also the reason I share Kurt’s no outing policy.”

“Yeah … Kurt.  Look, Man I’m sorry about Valentine’s.  I heard you guys had split up.  I only found out about your operation afterwards.  If I had known I wouldn’t have tried anything.”

“Don’t worry about it.  He is fabulous.  I was furious at the time but you were hurting.  I just want to help get you better and more willing to except yourself.”

“I was honestly getting there.  Going to Scandals has really helped, although your pal Sebastian knocked me back a bit.  He’s a real asshole.”

“He’s an okay guy at times just self-absorbed most of the time.  This has really shaken him up.  I think he might be turning over a new leaf he even apologised for nearly blinding me.  Seriously though how you really doing?  How can I help you.”

“All over the place to be honest.  Dad is traumatised from finding me.  He says he loves me and it doesn’t matter who I love it will never change.  I’m just not sure that he’s not only saying that so I don’t do anything stupid again.  Mum doesn’t want to know, she says I’m an abomination.  I just want to have what Kurt has.  I mean his relationship with his Dad is phenomenal.  They would take a bullet for each other without hesitation.  He has you.  You guys complete each other.  Anyone can tell by just looking at you two together.  He has friends that have his back no matter what.  I don’t know what to do I can’t go back to Hurston.  Even after what I did they won’t let up on me.”

“Then don’t go back.  Come to McKinley.  Everyone knows you’re gay but at least you have back up.  Kurt and I will be there for you.  New Direction will have your back too.  You could even come and live at my place for a while if you want till you sort everything out with your folks.  Mum and Dad are always away working so they will be pleased I have some company other than Kurt.”

“Why?  Do they have a problem with you being together?”

“Not really.  When I first came out Dad thought if he did enough “manly” projects with me to get my hands dirty it would straighten me out.  One summer we even did up a 59 Chevy but he’s realised it’s who I am.  They just think that whenever they are away we’re at it in every room of the house.  It’s an eight bedroom house even we’ve not got the energy for that.”

Dave laughed.  A full belly busting laugh.  The first in a long while.  Dave looked Blaine square in the eye.

“Thank you.  If your parents are alright with it then I will take you up on your offer.  I promise I’ll try and make sure you guys have some space so you can achieve every room in the house.”
