Blaine vs Social Media

Just something I wrote up because I felt like writing. Please enjoy!
Blaine wasn't big on social media until about three years into his high school career. It was the end of junior year when Kurt had convinced him to get a Facebook. He begun with very few friends, just the glee club and a few of his boys from Dalton.
He likes to look at his old posts sometimes, how aggravated he was in the beginning about Kurt practically begging him to begin an account. He also likes to see the old selfies he and Kurt would take and he'd post them to an album he'd titled 'Kurt'.
It was months later that Kurt and Rachel teamed up on him for an Instagram. Blaine liked it far better. He'd constantly post pictures of either Kurt or his meal, just like he'd seen Rachel do with her vegan choices. He'd relish in the decent amount of likes he'd get with a particularly good quote under a picture of him and Kurt. He loved the feeling when someone would comment how cute they were, just because he, too, thought that they were adorable.
With such a good suggestion before, it took very little for Kurt to convince Blaine to get a Snapchat. Blaine had been very weary of this one. He'd heard many stories and tales from Finn and Puck, and he wasn't quite sure what he was getting into. Yet, as always, Kurt proved himself worthy.
Blaine loved snapchat. He was that guy that always had at least a one hundred second story, all of either himself singing or just taking a video of Kurt humming whilst studying. That was always Blaine's favorite thing to capture and save to his phone. In fact, he still has about twenty videos of that.
Even if Kurt isn't his any more.
Blaine still uses Facebook. Blaine still posts to Instagram, though be it scarcely. Blaine even still makes Snap stories, though sometimes not even thirty seconds long.
He's lost his touch, he's lost Kurt. He'd lost his inspiration of social media, his muse. Kurt was the one Blaine had wanted to show off. Not his own silly puppy dog filter selfie, (in which he'd only sent to Kurt), nor videos of him using a voice changer, (which he'd only dare send Kurt, too). Kurt was the one he wanted everyone to see, everyone to admire.
That's why once Kurt posted a picture of another man, Blaine's heart just shattered. Because it's no longer Kurt's desire to post a picture of Blaine who'd fallen asleep on the couch during their Harry Potter marathon. Because it's now some other guy who's showing off a sideways smile while holding a puppy. Because it's not a ten second long video of Blaine singing along to Mama Mia, but it's a ten second long video of the guy dancing to Uptown Funk.
It's because once everyone opens Kurt's story, seeing the caption, they know. They all know, even Blaine, that Kurt's moved on.
Adam is just too cute!!!
Blaine sighs. He knows he's lost Kurt, and that Kurt's okay without him. That he's great with this new guy that doesn't even have a Facebook, (Blaine has searched before).
Blaine flinches whenever he sees Kurt has a new photo on Facebook, or when he posts a new Instagram photo with not Blaine, but Adam.
It's because it's no longer Blaine that Kurt is showing off to the world via social media, it's no longer Kurt's desire to let the world know of Blaine.
But yet, Blaine is left posting a picture of the tree next to his apartment with a depressing caption, for all the world to see.
I know there's someone out there for me, I just want it to be you.
