“So then Rachel said—”

Kurt looked up from his lunch when Mike stopped speaking, raising an eyebrow, “She said?” he prompted before realizing they weren’t alone at the table anymore.

He looked over to see a giant gorilla costume and the person inside was handing over a balloon along with a note.

“A gorilla-gram for moi?” He asked, smiling in confusion at the things in the gorilla’s hands were thrust at him. He took them slowly, watching as the gorilla made its way to a girl a few tables down.

“Kurt?”

He looked over at his friends before staring down at the note in his hand.

Whowould send him a gorilla-gram?

Well, oneperson would, but that person was currently at home, still recovering from his eye surgery, and wasn’t due back at school for a few more days.

“Don’t leave us hangin’, man! Open it!”

Kurt nodded, turning the envelope over and folding it open.

Yours are the sweetest eyes I’ve ever seen.

“Kurt? What’s it say?”

Kurt looked up quickly, his face beginning to heat up, “Oh uh, n-nothing.”

“What? Is it dirty? Didn’t know the hobbit had it in him.”

“Shut it Puckerman. It’s not…it’s notdirty. It’s just a song lyric. And besides, it couldn’t have been from Blaine. He’s at home still, remember?”

Puck just shrugged before popping a fry into his mouth, “Well, then who else could it be from? …Unless it’s Azimio and his crew being assholes again. Lemme see it—”

Puck reached across the table quickly to try and snatch it out of Kurt’s grasp but he moved away quickly, clutching it to his chest, “No! Dammit Puckerman, it couldn’t have been from one of them.”

“What makes you so sure, Kurt?” Mike asked warily, glancing over to the jock’s table.

“Because,” Kurt mumbled, pulling the paper away from his body slowly, looking down at it again before looking back up, “I doubtanyof them would go through the trouble of listening to an Elton John song. Let aloneknowone.”

Mike and Puck stayed quiet, agreeing with Kurt’s reasoning.

“Well then,” Puck started again, “If it wasn’t Blaine, then who could’ve given it to you?”

**

Kurt was just arriving to his English class when he saw the gorilla leaving his class. He thought nothing of it until there, on his desk, was another note.

Mercedes walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder, “Is there a reason why you’re frozen in the doorway?”

Kurt nodded over to his desk and she looked over, her face breaking out in a grin as she grabbed him by the wrist and yanked him over, all but pushing him down into his seat and shoving the card into his hands.

“Open it, open it!”

“’Cedes—”

“Boy, don’t make me do it for you!”

He sighed and dropped his messenger bag on the ground before picking up the gorilla-gram.

I want to kiss you on the mouth and tell you I’m your biggest fan.

Kurt tilted his head to the side, the lyric sounding vaguely familiar but just not being able to place it.

Mercedes, who was reading over his shoulder, gasped before sitting in the desk next to his, “Is that from Blaine?”

“I…I don’t know.” Kurt answered, reading it over one more time before folding it closed and slipping it into his bag.

“What do you mean you don’t know?”

“Well…I mean, of course Iwantit to be from Blaine, but justhowcan it be? He’s been home all this time. I don’t even think heknowsabout the gorilla-grams. So it can’t be from him.”

“Then who could it be?”

“I have no idea.”

**

Kurt walked through the halls quickly, tired from a long day of school and wanting nothing than to just leave already, maybe go and see Blaine for a few hours.

Blaine.

Thinking of him made Kurt think of the gorilla-grams in his bag.

They justcouldn’tbe from him. So who the hell could have sent them?

As far as he knew, nobody other than Blaine ever showed any real interest. In fact, other than Blaine and himself, the only other out people in McKinley were Brittany and Santana and the only peopletheywould be sending messages to would be each other.

But then who else was there?

He let his mind drift back to the jocks and to Puck’s words.

What if itwasall just one big prank? It wouldn’t be the first time they rigged something to hurt him.

He sighed as he made his way to his locker, stopping when he noticed something sticking out of it.

He went over and pulled it out only to seeanothergorilla-gram.

Kurt bit his lip and looked around the empty hallway before opening it,

I don’t know you, but I want you all the more for that.

He sucked in a breath, his eyes widening as the read the lyric over and over.

Blaine…Blaine wouldn’t write something like that. Because Blaineknewhim. He knew him better than anyone.

Which meant they really weren’t from him.

Crap.

**

Blaine grinned at him when he opened the bedroom door, waving him in happily.

“Hi, Kurt.”

“Hey honey, how’re you feeling today?” he asked as he dropped his bag at the foot of Blaine’s bed and made his way over to sit on the side, hand automatically reaching out to take Blaine’s in his, their fingers instantly tangling together.

“Good.” Blaine leaned forward and kissed him gently, humming quietly against his lips, “Now I’m even better.”

Kurt smiled back, his thumb moving back and forth over the top of Blaine’s hand.

“How was school today?”

Kurt’s thoughts instantly flew to the messages in his bag and guilt settled in his stomach.

“Oh uh, it was fine. I aced a French pop quiz.”

“Color me surprised.”

“Shut up,” Kurt told him with an eye roll, nudging him with his shoulder.

“So that’s all? Nothing else out of the ordinary?”

“Nope.” He hoped his voice stayed even.

Blaine looked him over for a second and Kurt worked to keep his expression happy.

“Mkay. So how long are you allowed to be here til?”

Kurt mentally let out a breath of relief. He didn’t like keeping things from Blaine, not at all…but he didn’t want to worry Blaine about a potential secret admirer.

He didn’t see a point in even bringing the messages up. As far as Kurt was concerned, Blaine was the only one for him.

**

Kurt wasn’t even really surprised the next day in school when he got to his first period class and gorilla-grams were passed out, one landing right on his desk.

A few people looked weirdly at him, but said nothing.

He sighed as he flipped it over and opened it ,

Let’s get wrecked on pop-tarts and sex and see the Taj Mahal.

Kurt snorted to himself as he put the message away.

Whoever his admirer was certainly had an…eclectictaste in music.

**

He received a few more messages during the week, ranging from

You just might be the one I’ve been waiting for my whole life.

To

I just hope when I cast my spell you’ll be falling for me.

And even

All the pretty things that we could be. I feel you in every heartbeat.

Most people would probably be weirded out by now- receiving eight (no wait, nine) secret admirer messages in the span of three days, but Kurt just found the whole thing funny, if not a little flattering.

He wouldn’t cheat on Blaine, he wouldn’t do anything with anyonebutBlaine, but he had to admit, it was still nice to see that other people…appreciatedhim.

He decided he’d show them all to Blaine tomorrow. It was Friday and tonight was the night of the Valentine’s Day dance.

Kurt didn’t even reallywantto go. It just didn’t feel right going to an event that’s all about love without being able to go to it with the person he loved most in the world.

But Figgins asked the glee club to perform during the dance and so he really didn’t have much of a choice.

Kurt got to his car and stopped to see a gorilla-gram stuck to his windshield, held down by the wipers.

He furrowed his brow before reaching over and pulling it open,

Meet me tonight at the dance.
9:30 in the hallway by your locker.
Please don’t let me go, I desperately need you.

Kurt stared at it, repeating the words in his head.

His secret admirer wanted tomeethim.

What the hell was he gonna do now?

**

Kurt was breathing heavily while balloons began to rain from the ceiling and the students cheered around them.

He loved performing.

He loved the thrill he got from it, the adrenaline pumping through his veins.

And he loved that people loved it, lovedhim, he practically got off on their applause.

He stepped off the stage and glanced up to the clock on the wall.

9:26.

Kurt bit his lip, glancing over at his friends, currently dancing in a huge group, before making up his mind and walking towards the doors.

Kurt’s heart was hammering in his chest as he walked out of the gym and into the darkened hallway. Each step made his heart pound harder. When he turned the corner his hands began to shake.

He shouldn't have done this. At least notalone.

Blaine will freak out if (when) he found out.

He made his way over to his locker and saw a paper sticking out of it. With a shaky hand he reached out and grabbed it.

It saidGorilla Gramon top, but this time it was hand-written. And the writing…Kurtrecognizedthe writing.

He folded it open and glanced down at the words,

Now every February you’ll be my Valentine.

Kurt sucked in a breath, his hands shaking now for a new reason.

“They were all songs I listened to once I realized my feelings for you.”

Kurt spun around and there at the end of the hallway was Blaine.

Blaine in a tux with his hand behind his back and smiling like he just won the moon.

“Blaine,”Kurt breathed out, “What’re you—”

“Doing here? Kurt, it’s your last Valentine’s Day here in Lima. And it’sourfirst. Did you really expect me to just sit at home all day?”

Kurt shook his head rapidly and bit his lip as Blaine closed the distance between them.

When they were inches apart Blaine brought his hand forward and revealed a small bouquet of red roses. Kurt grinned widely as he took them, closing his eyes and leaning in to smell them.

“How did you pull all this off?” He asked quietly, eyes opening to stare at Blaine.

Blaine smirked and shrugged, reaching forward to take Kurt’s empty hand in his, “That doesn’t matter, whatdoesmatter is that you didn’t suspect a thing and we’re here. Together.”

“That still doesn’t mean that I don’t wanna know, Blaine Anderson. I mean, as far as I know, you’ve been home recuperating all week.”

Blaine huffed out a laugh and scratched at his neck, “I may’ve had some help. It was an inside job.”

“You’re not gonna spill are you.”

Blaine leaned forward, his lips brushing against Kurt’s cheek and then his ear, “Never,” he whispered, nipping at the lobe gently before pulling back.

“Well, since you’re here, we might as well enjoy the rest of the dance together.”

“Mm, not just yet.”

Kurt raised an eyebrow but then seemingly out of nowhere music started playing, the sound of gentle guitar strings filling the air.

Blaine pulled the flowers out of Kurt’s hand along with the gorilla-gram and he placed them both on the ground by the lockers before coming back and lifting his hand, “Kurt Hummel, will you do me the honor of having this dance?”

Kurt smiled, eyes beginning to get a bit watery as he nodded, slipping his hand into Blaine’s. His other arm wove over Blaine’s shoulder and around his neck and likewise, Blaine’s arm wound its way around Kurt’s waist.

They moved slowly together from side to side, Kurt closing the distance and kissing Blaine gently before moving his head to the side, resting against Blaine’s temple, his eyes still closed.

Blaine nuzzled into the side of his face a bit, his lips near Kurt’s ear before he began singing along quietly,“Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfill. For my darling I love you and I always will.”

They continued to sway until the song faded away, the sound of Norah Jones being replaced by the cheering inside the gymnasium.

“We should head in before they start looking for you.”

Kurt hummed in agreement but didn’t make any move to pull away, his head resting on Blaine’s shoulder.

Blaine held him impossibly closer, his lips skimming up Kurt’s cheek and to his hairline, kissing his temple.

“I love you, Kurt.”

Kurt smiled, tilting his head forward to kiss the side of Blaine’s neck gently, “I love you too, Blaine. And thank you. Thank you for giving me a Valentine’s Day worth remembering.”

“I promise I’ll give you a hundred more, just like this.”

Justlike this?” Kurt teased, lifting his head off of Blaine’s shoulder and smiling.

Blaine rolled his eyes and grinned, “Well, okay no. But they’ll be even better.”

“Mm, I’ll hold you to it.”

“You do that.”

Kurt grinned and kissed him again before wrapping his arms around Blaine’s neck, hugging him tightly.

“Ready to go in there?”

“Sure thing. I have to thank Santana for helping me with all this.”

Kurt’s jaw dropped, “What?Santana? Santana Lopez?Shehelped you with all this?”

Blaine grinned widely at him, “We’ve sort of…bonded recently. Since I’ve been out of commission, I couldn’t be seen walking around the school so I had her set up the gorilla-grams.”

“And the music?”

“Who else do you know who can break into Figgin’s office and rig the speakers?”

Kurt shook his head and huffed out a laugh, “I can’t believe she was your inside man…woman.”

Blaine just winked at him before disentangling them and going over to pick up Kurt’s things, handing them over and reaching down to tangle their fingers together instantly.

They walked down the hallway hand in hand towards the gym, stopping before the door. Once inside they would be with their friends. They would dance and have a great time despite the fact that some people may not like it.

Blaine leaned over and kissed Kurt’s cheek before moving over and kissing the corner of his mouth, “Happy Valentine’s day, baby.”

Kurt smiled, leaning over and kissing Blaine’s temple, “Happy Valentine’s day,” he repeated, tightening his grip on Blaine’s hand and pushing the door open.

It was going to be their night, regardless of what people thought.

And Kurt was ready to have a hundred more just like it.

Nice to see you here ;). Welcome to Scarves&Coffee :) Oh - and story... it would be much better if it looked like this in the episode, wouldn't it? But well... we had a "Loveshack" so I think I can forgive them for making Karofsky not only a bully... but also a starker.

Yay Valentine's Day for Klaine!!! Blaine is so romantic.
