Author's Notes: A.N.: Hello :) This is the first story I am putting up here, and I am a little nervous :) It's really just a small little thing, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless :)Story Notes:Kurt loves his boyfriend more than anything, and he knows that Blaine has a lot of insecurities because of his older brother, but he is also aware that Blaine is confident in their relationship. So when Cooper comes to New York to make up with his little brother, Blaine doesn't mind bringing Kurt along to meet him. What neither of the 3 boys could know: Cooper and Kurt have a past together.

“Kurt…“ Blaine started, looking at his boyfriend across the table in their favorite New York coffeeshop.

They had been together for several years now, meeting when Kurt came to NYU from NYADA. They fell for each other quickly, and Blaine could honestly say that he had never been more happy than in his time with Kurt. Which was why there was a small, black satin box sitting in his bedside drawer.

“What is it love?” Kurt asked with a bright smile, eyes looking at Blaine with such utter love and adoration that Blaine could swear his heart was about to burst.

“Erm…remember how I told you about Cooper?”

“Your older brother?”

Blaine loved how immediately Kurt’s hand found his, squeezing it gently because he KNEW that Blaine didn’t get along well with Cooper, who was always preferred to him, being older, straight, a perfect student who never caused his parents any trouble.

Kurt knew how Blaine felt about always having to step back behind Cooper, because wherever he went, his brother would have already been and done it better, or come and take over.

“He…he is in New York and he wants to meet up…to make up…and he said he wanted to meet my boyfriend.”

Kurt blinked.

“You don’t have to come along of course I just…”

“Blaine...”Kurt interrupted the nervous ramble of his lover “I would love to meet your brother. Unless you do not want me too, because meeting him is really only important to me because it is to you. I couldn’t care less about him.”

Kurt could swear that the smile that appeared on Blaine’s face, was bright enough to light up the entire East Coast. The raven leaned over the table and pulled Kurt into a passionate kiss.

“No.” Blaine finally said, pulling away, still smiling. “I want you to meet him. I know that Coop and I had a hard time, but I am no longer bitter towards him. He might have everything, but he doesn’t have you, and you are my everything now.”

Kurt laughed, and they kissed again, no care in the world but each other.

“Baby you look perfect.” Blaine chuckled, pulling his boyfriend into his arms as Kurt tugged on his shirt for the umpteenth time. “And besides, I thought you didn’t care about Cooper.” He added, only half joking.

“I don’t.” Kurt said defensively “But he’s your brother and you clearly do, so I want him to like me. Especially now that you’re making up. He will be a part of your life again and…”

Blaine cut him off with a kiss.

“You’re perfect. He’s gonna love you. And even if he doesn’t at least you will still have me. I will always love you.”

“That’s more than I could have ever wished for.”

Blaine and Kurt made it to the place where they were supposed to meet Cooper. After looking around for a bit Blaine seemed to have spotted him, walking towards a young man standing with their back turned towards them.

“Hey Cooper.” Blaine called out and the man turned around to wrap Blaine into a hug, just as Kurt caught up with him.

Kurt’s world came to a skiddening halt as he took in the face of Blaine’s supposedly all-too- straight brother. Suddenly all of his worries about Cooper not liking him were gone with the gust of wind that blew in his face. Because…

“Hey Kurt…” Blaine said pulling away. “This is my older brother Cooper. Cooper, this is my boyfriend Kurt.”

Cooper turned his eyes towards Kurt, and Kurt could see them widening in barely disguised shock, knowing that his own expression couldn’t look any better. Blaine looked at the two, presenting Kurt to his brother with a proud smile, as the two brunets shook hands gingerly.

Kurt forced himself to smile curiously, not wanting to ruin this moment for Blaine, and he could see that Cooper mirrored his expression, taking note of the fact that Cooper was intelligent and realized the gravity of the situation, as well as of the fact that Cooper did not want to hurt Blaine.

But things had just gotten really awkward. Because the two men Blaine had just introduced to each other, had used to date 5 years ago, shortly before he and Kurt met.

“Soo…what do you think of him?” Blaine asked, unable to keep a slightly insecurity out of his voice as he looked at his boyfriend, who was twisting a piece of paper between his fingers nervously.

“Mhh?” Kurt asked, completely drawn out of his reverie, he had been lost in thoughts about the paper he was holding. It was Cooper’s new cellphone number, and underneath a short note: “Call Me.”

“What did you think of Cooper?” Blaine asked again.

“Oh.” Kurt laughed, hiding the shock coursing through him “Well, he is handsome, funny, charming, intelligent and talented…so far I’d say he does actually have your genes. But he has nothing on you.” Kurt had felt Blaine tense, but now the raven relaxed against him in the back of the cab.

All Kurt could think as Blaine wrapped his arms around him was “Believe me I should know.” And he knew he had to call Cooper and set things between then straight, so that nothing could harm their future with Blaine.

The next afternoon Blaine came home early, thinking that his boyfriend would be at home as well, but all he found was a note on the kitchen table, saying that Kurt was out with a friend, and a delicious home cooked dinner in the fridge.

Blaine smiled happily and made his way to their bedroom to get changed into more comfortable clothes, cleaning up a little when suddenly a piece of paper fell out of Kurt’s pants.

He picked it up, a strange sense of dread as he found what was obviously a cellphone number and the words *Call Me* in neat handwriting. He called the number on the paper, less surprised as he should have been when Cooper picked up, but it was what he heard in the background that made Blaine’s heart break.

‘I brought you a Nonfat Mocha Latte. I am guessing you haven’t changed your coffee order?’

Blaine hung up immediately.

Kurt and Cooper. Cooper and Kurt. Having coffee together. In itself, that was nothing bad. But Kurt knew Cooper’s coffee order. The coffee order that was also his own and which he had personally admitted to Blaine that he had copied it from his first REAL boyfriend. They had broken up when the older man had decided to try his luck in LA. As far as Kurt had told him they had parted on good terms, but not really managed to keep in touch.

Blaine really wanted to not believe it. But the truth was sitting right there in front of him. Cooper was Kurt’s first boyfriend. The man who Kurt had lost all his firsts to. The man who Kurt had often spoken so fondly about. The man who, as Kurt said, had shown him the magic of New York.

Without thinking he smashed his phone on the floor and punched the glass mirror of one of the large closets, not minding the blood and the pain in his hand.

Kurt was the best thing that had ever happened to him. But Kurt had been with Cooper. And now that he could have Cooper back, and Blaine knew he could, because Kurt was gorgeous, talented, smart and funny and just all around amazing and there was no was Cooper could resist him. And Blaine knew how things went with Cooper.

He didn’t stand a chance.

Kurt made it home late that evening. After the initial awkwardness it had been amazing to meet Cooper again, and they had clicked again pretty quickly. He really hoped that Cooper and Blaine could work out their differences, so that he and Cooper could stay friends. Because Kurt knew that given that he had to choose, he would always choose Blaine.

The two old friends had talked about a lot of things, including how to approach the whole topic with Blaine. It had been difficult, because neither wanted to lie to Blaine, but they did know how Blaine would feel if he found out and they never wanted to see him hurt like that.

So after a long, painful process of arguing they decided to not tell him right away, but to wait until they had convinced Blaine that Kurt loved HIM, and would stay with him, regardless of his past with Cooper and the fact that Cooper did really want to fix things between them.

But as amazing as the day with Cooper had been, he couldn’t wait to see Blaine again.

“Honey I’m home.” He called out jokingly, hearing the sound of the TV running from the living room.

Blaine didn’t answer, so Kurt made his way to the living room, finding Blaine curled up on the couch with milk and cookies, watching Disney movies. Kurt’s entire being seemed to constrict in pain. Blaine only ever did this when he was feeling really really worthless. Kurt couldn’t believe that his love had felt this way all day and he had been out goofing off with Cooper.

He sat down on the couch and gently stroked back Blaine’s dark curls.

“Hey baby.” He said softly as Blaine opened his eyes slowly, blinking up at him in wonder, looking so vulnerable that Kurt just wanted to hug him tight and never let him go. “What’s wrong?” he asked worriedly.

Blaine leaned into the touch of Kurt’s hands playing with his curls for a moment, before he sat up, taking a deep breath.

“Where were you all day?” he asked weakly.

“I was out with an old friend who came back into town, we had a lot of catching up to do. Why didn’t you call me?”

Kurt wasn’t outright lying to him, but he was leaving out information, and while the rational part of his brain told Blaine that Kurt just wanted to protect him the irrational jealous part went nuts.

“Well I am sure you and Cooper had a lot to catch up on after around 5 years of separation.” Blaine stated softly, but to Kurt it was worse than if he had yelled.

“Blaine I…”

“Were you ever going to tell me? Or were you just gonna break up with me and disappear with him like everyone always did?”

The bitterness and pain in Blaine’s voice almost killed Kurt.

“Break up with you wha…?”

“Look, I get it…you deserve the best…Cooper is the best. It’s ok really.”

Kurt blinked.

“Blaine no.” he brought a hand under Blaine’s chin to gently tilt his head upwards so Blaine was forced to look at him “Cooper is the past. And yes I hope that we can be friends again. But I love you and if you decided today that I could never see him again then I wouldn’t I just want you. I don’t have a choice, because I have lost my heart to you and I don’t even want it back, but regardless of that I still choose you. I love you Blaine. I love you so much.”

And when Blaine looked into those beautiful glasz eyes he had come to love so much, all he could see was love, adoration and honesty, and he believed Kurt.

With the help of Kurt the two Anderson brothers reconciled quickly, and they all soon became good friends. On the day of Blaine’s wedding, Cooper was his best man, and watched, with a smile on his face as Blaine married the man he loved.

He was sure that Blaine would make Kurt happy and he KNEW that Kurt made Blaine happier than he ever thought possible.

And while Blaine looked at Cooper hugging Kurt, his beautiful husband, before releasing him to come stand by Blaine’s side, Blaine couldn’t help but feel that, although Cooper had seemingly always gotten everything Blaine wanted, he was the one who had one when it counted.

He won the jackpot.

End Notes: Ok that's it :)I hope you enjoyed it a little, and I would love to hear from you about it :)/for now I'll be going into hiding...
