"I just don't understand why you don't want to go to Rachel's party with me." Kurt said after a long silence. It was a typical weekend afternoon, Kurt and Blaine had gone for coffee earlier and were now back in Blaine's dorm helping eachother with homework.
"It's not that I don't want to go with you it's just-just..."
"What is it Blaine? Is there something you have against teenage nightclubs or something?"
Blaine lowered his eyes.
"Blaine?"
Blaine sniffled, "I don't really want to talk about this anymore." He shut his text book and sat on the edge of his bed.
"Blaine please-" Kurt got up to sit with his boyfriend and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Kurt!" Blaine snapped. Kurt lightly jumped back.
Silence.
Blaine buried his face in his hands and sighed, "Kurt...I'm sorry."
Kurt slowly sat next to him again, "What's wrong."
"I'm just...not comfortable with clubs like that."
"Why?" Kurt's soft voice calmed down Blaine.
"I-I can't talk about it." Blaine hesitated and climbed underneath the bed covers. Kurt scoot closer to him, "You can tell me anything."
Blaine looked at Kurt for a moment, thinking to himself.
"Okay. I'll tell you." Blaine took a deep breath in, "Last year, there was this guy that I kind of had a thing with."
Kurt shifted uncomfortably. Just the thought of him with anyone else hurt.
"We went to this new nightclub just for kicks and to have fun. Well, we started dancing and this bully from my old school came up to us and...and-" Tears started forming in Blaine's eyes and his lips were starting to quiver.
Kurt lifted Blaine up to wear he was basically in his lap and wrapped his arms around the smaller boys waist.
Blaine clutched the collar of Kurt's shirt and buried his face in Kurt's shoulder. Kurt held Blaine tighter as he heard muffled sobs coming from his boyfriend.
"They- he-" Blaine choked out, "He started y-yelling at me and calling me these names that I'd never even heard before. He beat me up in from of everyone and ripped off all my clothes and kicked me. In front of...everyone."
Kurt felt tears streaming down his face. Just the thought of Blaine like that. Being tortured like that.
"Everyone just pointed and laughed and said I deserved it. The guy I came with didn't even try to help me. He just ran out. I've never felt so alone." Blaine whispered. Kurt felt Blaine trembling in his arms.
He kissed the top of Blaine's head forcefully, desperately, "I'm so sorry." He quietly said into Blaine's hair.
"I'm so scared of that happening again Kurt. I'm so scared." Blaine sobbed, his tears soaking through Kurt's shirt.
Kurt rested his cheek on top of Blaine's head, "I will never let that happen to you ever again, you hear me?"
"I just can't go back."
"We don't have to go. We can just watch a movie and cuddle all night."
Blaine released himself from Kurt's grip, his face was red and wet all over.
They both got underneath the covers and held eachother.
"I feel so safe with you." Blaine softly said after a while of just gazing at eachother.
Kurt gently smiled, "We'll always protect eachother."
Blaine moved closer so their bodies were touching.
"Thank you for telling me Blaine."
"Thank you for listening."
Kurt looked at Blaine's swollen, big hazel eyes, "I'll never let that happen again, okay?"
"I trust you." Blaine smiled even though his eyes were stained red.
"You're so beautiful." Kurt said.
Blaine blushed, "Stop."
"You are though. Outside and in."
"I'll never be as gorgeous as you Kurt. You're the most gorgeous angel I've ever seen."
Kurt softly placed a hand on Blaine's cheek, "I love you Blaine." He gently kissed him. Blaine returned the tender kiss and slowly ran his fingers through Kurt's thick hair.
"I love you too. So, so much." Blaine said after the kiss while twirling a golden brown lock of Kurt's hair around his finger.
"You know, I imagined saying that for the first time in some romantic setting like, I dunno, a coffee shop or something. But this... this was perfect."
Blaine leaned in to kiss Kurt more passionately this time.
They didn't even need to say anything else. They knew that they were safe in eachothers arms. Blaine knew that he would never be alone again.
