Blaine's been planning this moment for weeks. He had to get this off his chest because he knew that he should have told Kurt about it feelings months ago.
"Everybody find your special someone, the new year begins in 5 minutes!" Rachel said cheerfully into her pink, badazzled microphone.
The entire Glee club (plus Blaine) had all gathered once again in Rachel's basement for a New Years Eve party and everyone was starting to pair up for their New Years kiss. Apart from Blaine and Kurt.
Blaine felt a jolt in his stomach knowing that this was the perfect moment. The perfect moment he had been planning for weeks. He was going to tell Kurt how much he loved him, right here right now on New Years Eve.
He spotted him across the big room, sitting alone on the sofa with a Diet Coke in his hands. Blaine's heart nearly shattered just by the look on his face. A look of sadness and loneliness.
"Hey Kurt." Blaine softly smiled as he sat next to him.
Kurt looked up, almost startled, "Oh, hey Blaine." He returned the small smile, "Having fun?"
"Oh yeah. Not drinking this time as you can see though." Blaine chuckled.
"That's good." Kurt awkwardly said.
Blaine cleared his throat and looked at the television screen, broadcasting live from Times Square in New York. Three more minutes.
"So Kurt, I've got to tell you something... something I've been wanting to tell you for a while." Blaine began.
Kurt's heart began to beat a little faster, "Okay." He smiled at Blaine and set down his Diet Coke on the coffee table in front of them.
"I'm not really sure how to begin with this...I-I planned it all out in my head but now I forgot." Blaine rambled.
Kurt giggled, "It's okay."
God he was so perfect. Blaine had no idea that this was going to be so nerve racking. Well how couldn't it be nerve racking while you're starring into those eyes. Two minutes.
"Um, well, we've been best friends for a really long time now. A year and two months to be exact..." Blaine felt himself blush, "And I feel like an idiot for not doing this earlier but I was just scared. You being so perfect, I didn't want to screw everything up."
"What are you saying, Blaine?" Kurt's smile was from ear to ear, making it harder for Blaine to even think let alone breath.
"One more minute until New Year! YEEEAAAAHHH!" A drunk Puck yelled into Rachel's microphone before she yanked it out of his hands.
Blaine and Kurt both chuckled before returning their focus to eachother.
"What I'm saying is-"
"30 seconds everyone! The ball is about to drop!" Ryan Seacrest said on the television.
"Kurt Hummel, I'm in love with you." Blaine quickly said.
"What?" Kurt's eyes grew wide.
"I'm in love with you."
Kurt was silent for a second, "Really?"
Their friends began counting down, "10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3!"
"Really." Blaine said as he cupped both of Kurt's cheeks in his hands and gently pulled him in.
"2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone screamed.
Just then Blaine's lips met Kurt's for the very first time. He felt and explosion burst inside of him. Yes, this was the moment he had been waiting for his entire life. A moment like this with someone he loved. That someone being Kurt Hummel.
Kurt slowly pulled away, "I love you too." He smiled and looked into Blaine big hazel eyes, "Finally." He whispered to himself.
A Very Happy New Year, indeed.
End Notes: yaaay they were eachother's last kiss of the year and first kiss of the year~ this is kind of crappy but whatever :) I think it's cute anyway.
