Thanks so much for reading! I have a lot of ideas set in this verse, so keep a look out for those!
Sunlight streamed through the windows of the office he was walking into. Sometimes he wondered how he got so lucky. It always seemed to be sunny. It was no wonder why it was called the sunshine state.
He was pretty sure he was always sure hed wanted to work at Disney World. He remembered his trips to the park as a child, and as he got older he remembered wanting to work there. Wanting to be one of the people that made childrens days. His friends in high school always compared him to a prince. Always calling him a Disney prince.
The college interning job wasnt hard to fall into. But it started out as various odd jobs. Some days he was running the lines for children to meet characters. Other days he was selling ice cream on mainstreet. And about six months into the internship he was given his favorite job yet, giving tours of the park. The job allowed him to interact with patrons of the park more than any other hed worked so far. But sometimes he still itched to be a character.
"Hi!" Blaine said with a smile, sitting at the desk across from his supervisor Tiffany. The middle aged woman smiled at him.
"Good afternoon, Blaine." She re-arranged some papers on her desk. "I supposed youre wondering why I called you here today, right?"
"To be honest, yes. I had a few big groups scheduled for today and-"
"Amy will cover them for you." She said, "You need to be ready for tonight."
"Tonight, maam?"
"Youve been promoted Blaine." She said with a smile.
"Promoted?"
"Tonight, we need you in the Main Street Electrical Parade."
"I dont mean to make this hard on you Tiffany but I dont know the choreography for the street performers and-"
"No need. Youll be escorting Julie tonight on her float."
"I dont understand. Julie is Snow White in the parade..." Tiffany refrained from giggling at the utterly confused look on Blaines face.
"And youre now her Prince Charming."
"Prince Charming?" He asked, voice full of disbelief. "Oh my God!" He beamed, covering his smile with his hands."Thank you!" He laughed.
Tiffany grinned back at him. "You deserve this."
"Thank you so much!" He simply couldnt wipe the smile off his face.
"Youre so welcome!" She joked back. "Youd better be going, you need to get to costuming!"

The first night of Parade shift was amazing. More amazing than hed imagined. He loved seeing kids smiling at him, and loved waving back at them. Julie was amazing too, she showed him the ropes and made him comfortable with everything that was the parade shift. She even introduced him to the other cast members during his break in between the 8:30 and 10:30 parades.
"Kurt!" The petite girl called, waving a boy who looked about Blaines age over. Blaines eyes wandered from his parade partner, to the man walking over. Blaines eyes watched from the guy- Kurts- feet, up to his head. There was no confusion, he was Peter Pan.
"Hey!" He greeted, a smile on his lips, reaching out to shake Blaines hand.
"Hi." Blaine said, quickly fixing his eyebrows that hed felt raising as Kurt walked over. "Im Blaine, Im-"
"Julies new Prince Charming." He finished Blaines sentence.
"Yeah." He said, feeling a blush rise to his cheeks. Howd he never see this guy before?
"Ill just leave you two." Julie said with a giggle, sending a wink in Kurts direction.
"Im sure this is all kind of crazy for you." Kurt joked.
"A little to say the least." Blaine said, as a girl who looked only a little younger than him, zip past wearing a Tinkerbell dress, but her brown hair flowed past her shoulders.
"Thats Lauren, shes great. Just a little-" He stopped to think. "Un-organized."
Blaine giggled. Since when did he giggle?
"You were a tour guide right?" Kurt asked.
"Yeah, I just started doing that a little over two months ago."
"Its kinda tough getting to do this, I was working Laugh Floor for almost six months before they offered me this." He gestured to his outfit. Blaines eyes stopped on the green slim-fitting tights that covered his legs. He hadnt even realized Kurt was still talking, he hadnt meant to ignore him but he was just so distracted.
"I feel like all Im doing is talking." Kurt said quickly, blush rising in his cheeks. "So what about you? Isnt there something youd like me to know? We are going to be together a lot now, dont you think?"
"Right I-" He ran a hand over his face, embarrassed at how pink his cheeks were. He was almost twenty one, not fifteen. "Im from Westerville Ohio-"
"Youre kidding." Kurt laughed. "Im from Lima." Blaines jaw dropped. "Im sorry, go on!"
"I started college at NYU, but when I got the internship here, I transferred to University of Orlando so I could stay. My favorite Disney movie is Aladdin, and I drink at least three frozen Lemonades a week." He joked. "Is there anything I should know about you?"
"I didnt even start college, I was turned down where I wanted to go, but I interned at Vogue for a little bit. But I just-" He paused for a moment. "I just had to do something new. So here I am, Orlando Florida. And Ive probably rode Space Mountain over fifty times."
The two of them stood in a silence that could have quickly become awkward before Julie reappeared between the two of them.
"Kurt, isnt Blaine just the best? Im so lucky to have him!" She put an arm around his waist, leaning close to him while she leaned close to Kurt. Suddenly Lauren was near Kurt.
"I see youve made a friend." She said with a smile, walking over to Blaine. She shot a quick wink at Julie.
"Hi, Im Lauren." She reached out to shake his hand. "And I was wondering if you had anything to do later tonight." Her voice suddenly dropped and she smiled at him, a flirty look in her eyes.
"Oh no I-" He stopped, weighing his options before speaking again. "Im not really into girls." He said quietly.
"Small world!" Lauren squealed, moving out from in between Kurt and Blaine. "Kurt is gay too!" Both Kurt and Blaines cheeks lit up a bright magenta.
"Oh my god Lauren!" Kurt said quietly, he looked over at Blaine, whos eyes were trained on the floor.
"Well just be going." Julie said with a giggle, pulling Lauren away with her. The two men stood quietly, looking at each other and then back to the floor. Blaine was the first to speak.
"So, now that thats out in the open-"
"No, I dont have a boyfriend, or anyone for that matter."
Blaine felt his stomach flutter, it took him everything not to bring his hand to it in shock.
"Me neither."
"Attention all Electrical Light Parade members." An announcement filled the room. "Be at your float, and ready to perform in five minutes."
"I guess thats our cue." Blaine said quietly.
"Hey." Kurt said with a small smile. "Meet me at the end of the route, by the front gate."
"Okay." Blaine said before turning around, a grin covered his face.
The second parade went even better than the first. The smile on his face made his cheeks hurt. He wondered if Kurt was as nervous as he was. This was the first time hed even considered getting to know someone romantically since hed moved to Florida. This was risky, dating someone he worked with.
At the end of the route, he noticed Kurt had already climbed down from his float and was waiting for him. Blaine waited until the last second before jumping down from the float and all but running to Kurt.
"Hi." Kurt said with a smile.
"Hey again." Blaine grinned back, leaning close to Kurt. He jumped when Kurt pulled him closer, their lips connecting for a second before they both jumped away.
"Im sorry." Kurt practically whispered, blushing again.
"Im not." Blaine said, pulling Kurt back in and kissing him deeper than before.
"Mommy!" A tiny voice yelled. "Why is Prince Charming kissing Peter Pan? Isnt Snow White gonna be sad?"
Blaine laughed into Kurts lips, the two of them smiling into another kiss. This was a risk Blaine would be willing to take.
