Author's Notes: Oh Lordy, the angst. The only characters I have listed are Kurt and Blaine, but there are others, I just didn't wanna list all of them.

Blaine reached into his locker to get his history text book out. He was already smiling because it was last period, that meant when he got out of school, Kurt would be waiting for him.

Due to the bad judgement from NYADA, Kurt was going to be spending the next school year in Ohio with Blaine before they could both go to New York. Blaine pulled out his history textbook and began to check his hair in the small mirror that was in his locker.

As he was getting ready to close his locker a freshman football player walked past and shoved him into the locker, because despite the fact that he was a freshman, he was still bigger than Blaine. Not that it took alot to be bigger than Blaine.

Blaine was immediately slammed into his locker, hitting his head on his way down to falling to the floor.

Tina ran over to him after seeing this, "Blaine! Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine." Blaine put his hand on his forehead, now feeling the overwhelming need to fall asleep right there on the ground where he was sititng.

"Are you sure? You hit your head pretty hard.."

"Yeah. I'm alright." He stood up and immediately colapsed back down to the floor, still conscious. "Okay..Maybe not."

"I'm gonna go get the nurse okay? Do you feel tired?"

Blaine nodded drowsily.

"Don't fall asleep..I'll get her right out here okay? "She took off running down the hallway to get the attention of the school nurse.

Blaine closed his eyes and quickly opened them back up after remembering what he'd just been told. He put his hand up to his forehead as if it were going to ease the pain. When he brought it back down he noticed there was blood on it. He slammed his eyes shut quickly, before opening them back up just as fast remembering.

Tina came running down the hall followed by a woman in orange and yellow polka-dotted scrubs who Blaine assumed was the nurse, Mr Schuester, Miss Pillsbury,  and a few other students, one of them being Brittany.

Brittany pulled out her cell phone and began dialing numbers. "Kurt? I think Blaine's hurt.."

Blaine panicked and sat up way quicker than he should have "Don't call Kurt, you'll just scare hi-" Just as the words came out of his mouth he was over come with nausea. He closed his mouth before he could blink again the nurse was infront of him holding out a garbage can for him to vomit in. He leaned forward and wretched for what felt like hours. When he was finished he leaned back, so that his back was agaisnt the lockers.

"Is that normal?! Should he have just done that?" Miss Pillsbury asked, clearly panicking. Mr Schuester put his hand gently on her shoulder attempting to calm her down.

"Yes..That happens to some people with head injuries.." The nurse nodded her head while looking at Blaine's forehead, that now a dark shade of purple with large yellow spots in certian parts, and bleeding more than it first had been. "He needs to go to the emergency room.."

"No I-" Blaine spoke for the first time in a few minutes.

"Blaine..You really need to go.." Mr Schuester bent down on the floor so he was eye level with Blaine.

Blaine nodded, on the verge of breaking down. "Brit?" He looked up at the nervous looking blonde.

"Yeah?"

"Can you call Kurt and tell him not to worry..I'm fine.."

"But Blaine your not-"

"Please.." He half whimpered, half pleaded with her.

Mr Schuester helped ease Blaine off of the ground and a few students stood around him just in case he were to fall again. When they made if out to Mr Schuester's car Blaine caught himself attempting to close his eyes again.

Ms Pillsbury sat in the backseat watching him while Mr Schuester drove as quickly as he could within the speed limit.

"Blaine.." She put her hand on his cheek to make him open his eyes.

He closed his eyes again, this time only for a few seconds, tears began to pour from them. Mr Schuester looked over at him "Hang in there.."

"It really hu-hurts.." He found himself crying , he choked down a sob.

When they pulled into the hospital, Mr Schuester instructed Miss Pillsbury to go inside and get someone who could get a wheelchair to help get Blaine inside of the hospital.

Fifteen minutes later Blaine was being poked and prodded at by what seemed like a million nurses. One of them was putting stitches in his forehead, one was having him open his eye and look into a light, and the other was asking questions.

"Okay sweetie..I need you to open your right eye and close your left okay?"

Blaine obeyed and opened his eye, promptly closing it and shaking his head in hopes that it would make the pain in his head go away.

The nurse next to the one with the light wrote down something after that.

Blaine didn't remember many more questions. He remembers one of the nurses begging him to 'stay with her'  right before he blacked out.

Kurt ran in the doors of the emergency room "Where is he?!"

Tina looked up her phone that she'd been staring at, nerviously tapping her foot on the floor. "They put him back in a room. You'll have to ask them which one though." She glanced over at a few nurses who were standing near the front desk.

Kurt frantically walked over to them "Do any of you know what room they have Blaine Anderson in?"

"He's in the first room on the left.." She gave him a small smile and pointed towards the hallway Kurt needed to be going down.

Kurt rushed towards the room and stopped before he went in. He stood for a second trying to prepare himself for anything he might see. He lowly opened the door and walked in to find Mr Schuester sitting in a chair next to the side of Blaine's bed, and Miss Pillsbury sitting next to the teacher, holding his hand.

"Oh Kurt." Mr Schuester stood up. "Have you contacted his parents?"

"I talked to my dad, he said he would try to get a hold of them..But I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't show.."

Mr Schuester sighed and put his hand on Kurt's shoulder. "He should wake up soon..They said it was fine for him to be sleeping."

He quickly left the room, his fiance' following close behind.

Kurt walked over to the chair that he'd been sitting in and sat down next to his boyfriend's bedside. He reached down and gently took Blaine's hand. Blaine stirred in his sleep. He slowly blinked his hazel eyes opened.

"Kurt?" He practically whispered.

"I'm sorry.. Go back to sleep.." he rubbed small circles into the back of Blaine's hands.

"It really hurts.."

"What?"

"My head.." Blaine whimpered and closed his eyes again. "The light hurts."

Kurt walked over and swiftly turned the lights off, Blaine re-opened his eyes and looked around the room.

"Is that better?"

"MmHmm.." He mumbled.

"Are you okay?" Kurt looked at his forehead that now had stitches on it, he'd never known a locker to be that dangerous.

Blaine shook his head no, Kurt could see the tears coming to his eyes. "I feel so helpless..So weak.."

"What do you mean? Blaine..You couldn't help anything that just happened.."

"I just..I just thought that..That it wouldn't happen again."

"What do you mean sweetie?"

"I-I thought it wo-would get bett-er." A tear fell down his cheek. "That was stupi-id for me t-to th-think."

Kurt immediately took his boyfriend's hand and squeezed it unintentionally harder that he meant to. Blaine winced a little.

"I am so, so sorry.." Kurt sighed.

"I sh-should have kno-known, that as soon a-as you were go-gone things would change.."

"But i'm not gone..I'm right here..And I will never let this happen again.."

Blaine tried his best to stop crying and nodded nodded his head, looking like a small child. He know's Kurt wants to protect him. And he want's to believe him. But theres absolutely nothing he can do considering he's not a student anymore, and even when he was they're wasn't anything the faculty would do for him.

Kurt leaned forward and gently kissed a part of Blaine's forehead that was did not have stitches in it. "I love you."

"I love you too." Blaine sighed and layed back so his head was on the pillows.

"Are you tired?" Kurt moved a stray curl off of Blaine's forehead.

"I didn't get much sleep before you got here..I guess if you count blacking out as sleep..Then yes, I did sleep in. But even after I woke up, I couldn't go back to sleep."

"Why not? You look like you need the sleep sweetie.."

"Couldn't sleep cause you weren't here." He yawned.

Kurt rolled his eyes. "Sure.." He quipped sarcastically. "Are you gonna go to sleep now Romeo?"

"I can only try.." He gave Kurt a small smile. "I love you."

"I love you too." Kurt held Blaine's hand again, he lifted it up to his lips and kissed each of his knuckles.

Blaine finally closed his red rimmed eyes, and his breathing evened out, indicating that he was finally asleep. Kurt leaned down to his face and pressed a long kiss to his cheek.

"So much.."

End Notes: I love Rates and Reviews as much as Blaine loves football....And Kurt loves scarves.
