Falling Down
Reaction drabble to 3.22 so spoilers for that. Blaine and Burt comfort Kurt afterwards.

"So?" Blaine asked excitedly as Kurt exited the choir room.
"I didn't get in," he whispered, sniffling.
"What? How, you totally nailed your audition?" Blaine wrapped Kurt up in his arms, not caring that they were standing in the middle of the hallway.
Kurt's arms came up around his waist. "I don't know. I don't get how this happened, Blaine. I mean, Rachel got in, why didn't I?"
Blaine gritted his teeth in frustration, his arms reflexively tightening around Kurt. Of course Rachel got in, Rachel gets everything and Kurt… He sighed. Kurt deserved everything.
"I'm so sorry, honey," he murmured against Kurt's shoulder. They stood there for a moment before Blaine pulled away, lacing their fingers together and tugging Kurt towards the library.
"Where are we going?" Kurt asked, trying to discreetly wipe at his eyes.
Blaine glanced back, managing a small smile. "To look at other college options for you. NYADA doesn't know what they're missing out on and there are plenty other performing arts schools in the world."
Kurt held his hand a little tighter and allowed himself to be pulled along.

"Hey bud, how was school?" Burt asked when he got home that night, spotting Kurt sulking on the couch next to Blaine.
"Fine." Blaine nudged him, glancing up at Burt.
"Hey, no, what's wrong?" He squatted down next to his son, his eyes flicking back to the worried look on Blaine's face and the comforting circles he was rubbing on Kurt's back.
"I got my NYADA letter today," Kurt murmured, almost too low to hear. "I- I didn't get in."
"What? That's bull, Blaine told me you did amazing during your audition."
Kurt shrugged. "Apparently I wasn't good enough. I'm never good enough." His shoulders shook with a repressed sob. "I'll be right back," he managed to choke out before running from the room.
"What happened?" Burt asked, turning to Blaine.
"Rachel got in."
His eye widened in surprise. "Even after she choked?"
Blaine nodded, his eyes fixed on the doorway. "Yeah. I took him to the library so we could look up some other colleges for him but…" He trailed off, lifting his shoulders uncertainly.
Burt cuffed his shoulder gently. "You did what you could, buddy. We'll figure something out for him."

Seriously!!!! Like WTF is up with the writers?!? Rachel gets everything, except Finn, but Kurt deserves this more than anyone, and they just take it away? If I had any creative bone in my body, I would write something like you did, but instead I'll just read other peoples rants :). Thank you for putting my feelings into words.
