Author's Notes: Just a quick one-shot that came to mind after seeing a youtube video of two amazing male dancers dancing to El Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge. It's slightly OOC but not much. It's also my first Klaine fic so please be gentle. Unfortunately it also hasn't been beta'd so I apologize in advance for any typos.

“Why am I going with you again?” Kurt asked pulling his scarf tighter around his neck to brace himself against the bitter early winter wind.

“Because you’re my best friend and want to help me anyway you can” Rachel said with a smile as she grabbed his hand and dragged him down the street towards the dance studio.

“I still don’t understand how I am helping you though” he said shaking his head and jogging along with her. Rachel stopped and looked at Kurt and sighed. Part of her felt bad for dragging him out without telling him where they were going, but she knew he would back out if he knew, “Just tell me where we’re going at least”

“You know how Miss July said I wasn’t sexy enough?” she said slowly. Kurt nodded, “Well she made me sit out tango class last week...”

“Rachel!” Kurt hissed, “I am not going to a dance class with you!”

“Please Kurt!” she begged, “I need a partner and I thought maybe you’d like it...I mean get out of the house other than for work...” she began to ramble, “It could be fun!”

Kurt shook his head, “Oh no...don’t you dare try to guilt trip me!”

“Kurt!” she whined, “It’ll be good...give you a leg up in dance when you reapply to NYADA next semester!” she added with a smile knowing that would get him.

He threw his head back and groaned, “Why am I friends with you again Rachel Berry?” he sighed.

“Because you love me!” she squealed happily, “Thank you thank you thank you!” she said throwing her arms around his neck.

“Ugh, come on let’s go and get this over with” he groaned as he followed her down the street.

“Here” she said thrusting clothing in his hand, “Go change. You can’t dance in jeans...no matter how tight” she teased.

“Ugh” Kurt groaned knowing Rachel’s fashion sense, “You owe me big time”

“I know. Thank you again!” she said smiling before heading into the ladies locker room to change.

Kurt headed into the men’s locker room and dropped his bag on the bench and dug out his dance sneakers. He hadn’t used them in forever and couldn’t help but smile at the thought of dancing again. He quickly changed into the black dance pants that Rachel had given him. Luckily he had a black tank top in his bag, along with an oversized slouchy shirt he had cut the neck out of. He threw his bag in a locker threw his combo lock on it and headed back out to wait for Rachel.

“Anderson!” he heard someone yell near the front door.

“Hey!” someone responded from down the hall. Kurt looked up to see who was talking and his heart stopped, “What are you doing here Coop?” the man continued laughing.

The pair continued to talk, but Kurt wasn’t listening. He just couldn’t keep his eyes off of this man...Anderson. The way he spoke, the way he moved...the way his dance pants...

“Kurt! Earth to Kurt!” Rachel was waving her hands in his face, “Come on, class is going to start soon!” she said excitedly dragging him down the hall to one of the studios.

It was a small studio. One wall was mirrored, the one opposite were floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city. A piano sat in one corner, along with a large stereo system that was currently playing the local pop station. There were only a few people in the room, sitting around in various stages of stretching.

Rachel went straight to the barre attached to the wall opposite the piano and began to stretch. Kurt quickly fell into the old habit of stretching for dance class by plopping on the floor in a perfect straddle. He was in his own world, relishing in the idea of performing at all. Although he would never admit to Rachel, he was happy she dragged him here. As much as he loved his work at Vogue, he missed the prospect of performing. He loved singing and dancing, and secretly loved dance classes. He and Rachel used to sneak to ballroom classes while in high school.

“Alright, let’s get this started!” a voice rang out stepping into the room making everyone look up, and Kurt’s breath caught again. He was going to be their instructor?

Rachel quickly left the barre to come over to Kurt, and immediately knew what was going on in his head. The instructor was indeed attractive. Rachel knew of him from NYADA...well everyone and NYADA knew of him. He was the star of the program. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He had a voice to die for, played multiple instruments and apparently could dance too. He turned heads of both men and women, but if the rumors were right, he played for Kurt’s team.

“He’s cute isn’t he?” Rachel whispered as she helped Kurt off the floor. When he didn’t respond she continued, “He goes to NYADA and is practically perfect there...rumor has it plays for you...”

“Rachel” he finally hissed, “Just shut up” he said angrily. He was sick of her trying to get involved in his love life. He would figure it out on his own.

“Ok guys, I see some familiar faces” the instructor started as he gracefully went to the stereo glancing at Rachel, “And some new ones” he said shooting a smile at Kurt who blushed, “Just so we’re all on the same page, my names Blaine and obviously I’m your instructor” he explained, garnering some chuckles from the room, including Kurt, “So we’re going to do a short warm up before we start the routine. Sound good?”

Everyone agreed and found spaces in the room facing the mirror while Blaine went to the stereo to put some Latin infused music. Although Kurt always put on the front that he wasn’t a strong dancer in high school, (because honestly, did he really need another reason to be taunted?) he actually was, especially in the tango and Latin styles. Rachel knew this and leaned over quickly, “Please don’t pretend Kurt. Just let loose for once and enjoy yourself” she pleaded.

As much as he wanted to pretend since it was easier, part of him wanted to show off a bit. Show off for this gorgeous instructor. The music began and Kurt recognized it as Shakira’s “Objection” and smiled to himself. He loved this song.

Blaine walked in front of the class, facing the mirror and began to lead a warm up of some cha cha steps, stretching and general hip shaking. Once Kurt had forced himself to ignore the way Blaine’s hips moved, and the way his dance pants hugged his ass, he relaxed and gave into the music. He didn’t realize that Blaine was having the same problem, although he was having much more difficulty ignoring Kurt.

The song finally came to a close and Blaine quickly walked to the stereo to change the song, “Alright, today we’re going to work on a routine to El Tango de Roxanne” he said clearing his throat and trying to look anywhere but at Kurt while he began to show the routine.

It was a complicated routine for both partners, with lots of intricate leg work on the ladies behalf and Rachel just wasn’t getting it, and it was frustrating Kurt, “Rachel, are you even trying?” he huffed. He was getting bored of her tripping and kicking him, “It’s not that difficult!”

“Says you who doesn’t have to do it” she huffed just as frustrated.

“You’re thinking too much” Blaine said coming over in an attempt to help.

“I’ve been trying to tell her that” Kurt mumbled.

“You have one of hell of a partner Rachel, you have to follow his lead more and stop trying to lead him” Blaine continued, “It’s like playing a part, you can’t play both at the same time”

That last comment made Kurt snort. He knew Rachel and how much of a control freak she was. She didn’t trust anyone to be in charge and lead her.

“I would but he doesn’t seem to understand the difficulty in the steps for me” she ground out. Annoyed and embarrassed that the instructor had to come over and was praising Kurt more than she.

“I do Rachel, I just don’t see them as hard as you do” Kurt said, “Let’s try again” he sighed reaching for her again.

“I wish I could see you try them” she mumbled under her breath.

“If you were strong enough to lift me I would, now-” he began.

“You do realize class is over right?” Rachel whispered began making Kurt look around and realize he, Blaine and Rachel were the only ones left in the class.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I guess...” Kurt began.

“It’s fine” Blaine said smiling, “I see how much you want to help Rachel” he said, “But I also understand where she’s coming from. The male part of the dance, always seems simpler” he said to Rachel, "But it’s really not about the intricacies of the dance, as much as it’s the trust it takes to follow” he said moving his gaze to Kurt, before stepping back and beckoning Kurt with his head, “Rachel can you restart the song?” he requested.

It took everything in Rachel not to squeal, but she knew better. Both for Kurt and her own dignity. She rushed over to the stereo to restart the song and leaned against the wall to watch the pair dance.

The stood facing each other for a moment while the music began, Blaine gracefully walking around Kurt as if he was hunting prey before grabbing his wrist and pulling the taller man closer, flush against him.

Kurt tried not to flush in embarrassment and stay to the routine, but he couldn’t help but look Blaine in the eye. Which was necessary to dance with him, but distracting in and of itself. His honey eyes twinkled with mischief and something that made Kurt week in the knees and the way he whispered, “Trust me” in his ear gave him shivers down his spine. But he simply nodded and they began the simple wide box step until all of a sudden Blaine’s strong arms were whipping him into a lift before bringing him back down into a deep lunge.

The choreography became second nature to him, although he hadn’t actually done this half of it, simply watched it. The pair began the intricate leg moves and danced seamlessly around the room; arms locked around each other, pelvises flush in the sexy dance.

Rachel watched in awe at the chemistry between the two and Kurt’s natural gracefulness as Blaine led him around the room. The sensual spins and lifts looked like they had practiced for hours, not the 90 minute dance class they had just had. She knew he could
dance, but nothing like this.

The song began to reach its pinnacle and Rachel didn’t realize she was holding her breath until the final spin and the pair hit the floor, Kurt in a perfect split, with Blaine on one knee still holding Kurt tightly. It took a moment for Rachel to realize that they weren’t moving. The stayed in that position, breathing heavily and staring in each other’s eyes for what felt like hours, but was only a few extra seconds. Rachel finally decided to break the moment by clapping loudly.

It worked, it shook them out of their moment, and Blaine stood, pulling Kurt upwith him. Being on his feet again, seemed to pull Kurt out of the trance and he quickly stepped away from Blaine realizing the situation.

“That was amazing guys!” Rachel gushed, “Absolutely amazing! I didn’t’ know you could dance like that Kurt!”

“Thanks” he mumbled slightly uncomfortable with the intense gaze he was still receiving from Blaine.

“She’s right Kurt. You are a natural” Blaine said with a smile.

“Thank you. It’s not that hard when you have strong lead” he said finally looking up to

meet Blaine’s gaze again.

“I’ll meet you outside Kurt. Thanks again Blaine” Rachel said taking that as her cue to leave. She rushed out, closing the door to the studio behind her.

“You really are talented Kurt. I’ve never danced with anyone like that before” Blaine said seriously, “You were amazing”

Kurt blushed at this, “Again, it’s not hard to follow you. You’re a wonderful dancer” he said shyly.

“That’s adorable” Blaine said quietly, crossing the distance between them, “You’re adorable when you blush” he said again, making Kurt blush again, but not just from the compliment. He could feel the heat radiating off of Blaine’s body, and now without the music and the choreography in his mind, he was able to notice it. He was able to truly take in all that was Blaine. The way the button down shirt he had on was unbuttoned at the top, leaving his throat and collarbone visible. The tight forearms that were on display from the rolled up sleeve. The mop of curly hair that was escaping from its previous coiffed style. The honey colored eyes that were intently staring up at him as if they were trying to memorize every detail. Which unbeknownst to him they were.

While Kurt was taking in Blaine, Blaine could do nothing but stare at the kissable lips in front of him. He had managed to take all of Kurt in while they were dancing. Taking note of the tight body beneath to dance shirt, the slim waist he held to during the dance, the graceful, long lean legs that wrapped around his waist and kicked between his legs, the porcelain skin that glistened and flushed as he danced...now all he could focus on was those lips and how much he wanted to kiss them.

He finally couldn’t hold back any longer and leaned in, meeting Kurt’s lips in a frantic kiss. Kurt was taken aback at first, amazed and confused that this beautifully talented man was kissing him, but only for a moment. Then he realized how perfect the kiss seemed. How the tingles rushed up his spine and down his arms, bringing the hairs on the back of his neck to attention. How there seemed to be fireworks inside the dance studio. He quickly closed his eyes and fell into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Blaine’s shoulders and sighing into the perfection that was kissing Blaine Anderson.

They pulled away, foreheads still touching before pulling back farther, Kurt keeping his arms around Blaine’s shoulders, and Blaine’s arms around his waist, “Wow” Kurt whispered, making Blaine smile.

“Definitely a wow” he chuckled, “You wanna grab some coffee? Or dinner?”

“I’d like that” Kurt said with a smile, “I’d like that a lot”

brilliant

This was amazing, I love it!

I definitely LOVE this Klaine story and wish you would add a least a couple chapters to it as I was very impressed with Klain dancing, plus the chemistry....WOW. You write very nicely and have a well thought out chapter, so I am sure adding a couple more chapters...like MANY or twelve...wouldn't be hard for you as your subject practically would write itself. I am going to track this story in the hopes you will get many more reviews wanting more and add some more "love" for us to read! xoxo
