Author's Notes: Just a little thing that came to me after the episode. Might be continued, we'll see.Ttle from Kelly Clarkson's Dark Side

Blaine walked down the hall in confusion. He’d been back four days and was settling back into Dalton easily, forgetting about McKinley, and his mistakes were harder but he’d get there. Right now the school should be filled with noise, humming with activity as students went about their evening but right now it was silent save for a few squeaking shoes that were quickly diverted when they saw him.

He pushed open the Senior Commons doors and looked around then suddenly all of the air was knocked out of lungs as his eyes fell on a lone figure standing by the window. “Kurt?”

His ex-boyfriend looked at him and a corner of his mouth rose in an awkward smile. “What are you doing Blaine?”

Blaine blinked in surprise and replied. “Uh…I’m going here now. What are you doing here?”

Kurt nodded, walking towards him slowly around the tables and chairs that were spread across the room. “I was all the way in New York; remember the place you told me to go to? I was ready to just let go and move on and I got this phone call from Finn saying you were making bad decisions, as if the decisions up until now weren’t just as bad or worse. Then I got this really weird phone call from Sebastian saying he’d love you to come back but he had a change of heart, that you would be once again the star and he’d be number three and he really didn’t like competition, which we both know is a lie and then he told me that you were back here. Do you really think you can forget about me here Blaine? I went here too. Our first kiss was over in that corner there. In the end you’d just be back where you were, remembering me.”

Blaine sniffled, Kurt was right. He could already feel the tug of memories, Kurt singing here, Kurt in his arms, their kisses, their duets. He looked up and at Kurt. He was wearing a black suit much like the one he’d worn when Pavarotti had died. “You’re right but what do I do?”

“Go back to McKinley Blaine. Be brave.” Kurt responded.

“How?” Blaine asked, tears slipping down his cheeks. “Before I had you and I could do anything but now I have nothing and I only have myself to blame. I had everything and I ruined it all.”

Kurt stared at him, eyes welling up with tears. A huge part of him wanted to slap Blaine but another part, the part that still loved Blaine, the part that was still his friend won out. “You need to forgive yourself for what you did Blaine. You made a huge, terrible mistake. You cheated on me and when you did that you ruined a love and a friendship. You need to learn to be strong by yourself. I did. I loved you Blaine and whatever happens, you’ll always be my teenage dream but you need to learn to forgive and move on from hating yourself or nothing good will ever be again.”

Blaine reached out a hand and clasped Kurt’s, gasping a little as Kurt didn’t pull away. They moved together and Blaine looked into Kurt’s eyes. The two teenagers stared at each other for a few minutes then Kurt leaned forward and placed a small kiss on Blaine’s lips. He let go of Blaine’s hand and turned to leave.

“Kurt?” Blaine gasped.

“Go back to McKinley Blaine, we’ll be fine; and put the damn trophy back.” Kurt called over his shoulder, disappearing down the hallway.
