Don't You Worry

What if on the way to Eli's, Blaine got a text from Kurt? (How TBU would have gone if I'd written it)

Author's Notes: I was listening to the song in this fic Stickwitu by The Pussycat Dolls and this came to me. The title is from the song.Yes, another fic I said I'd never write. It happened.

Blaine sat in the choir room, looking at the messages from Eli.C as they popped up. Part of him felt bad for doing this to Kurt but he was so far away and so distant.

You want to come over?

The message popped up and the want, the desire, the desperation for attention clouded his mind and forced him up and out of the seat, walking out of the choir room to go see Eli. Kurt wasn't here, Eli was.

Blaine knew the way to Eli's as he'd told him before and knew he could walk from the school so started walking down the road, his mind filled with the compliments that came from the other teen, no long from his boyfriend.

Suddenly his phone beeped again and he took it out to look at it.

1 New Message

Blaine smiled and opened it, then his mouth dropped open.

Hey, I know I've been really distant lately and I'm working so hard. I know it's hard on you so I was listening to songs on my ipod and wanted to send this to you, I hope it'll help. I can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks baby. I love you. - Kurt

At the bottom of the text was the link to the song Stickwitu by the Pussycat Dolls. It was a song they'd sung to each other a few times over their relationship and it stopped Blaine in his tracks. His eyes filled with tears and his heart filled with love for his adorable, overly busy, but perfect boyfriend.

The video finished and he looked over towards Eli's house. He closed the text and opened up a reply to Eli.

Nah, thanks. I'm going to go see my boyfriend. Thanks. - Blaine

He opened up his browser and looked up the next flights to New York for the weekend.

"Blaine!" Kurt shouted, the surprise and happiness in his voice made Blaine's heart soar, he' made the right choice. Kurt took the huge bunch of flowers he'd hidden behind and smelled them, savouring them as Blaine hugged Rachel and Finn.

"We're going to Callbacks, it's a bar all the NYADA students go to, want to come?" Rachel said excitedly, bouncing on her toes as she looked between them all.

Blaine looked at Kurt and bit his lip. "Um, do you mind if I steal Kurt for the night actually? We've got a lot to talk about and I want to spend some time with my boyfriend." He asked and Rachel nodded happily, Finn looked uncomfortable and Kurt looked at him curiously.

Kurt looked at him after Finn and Rachel left and Blaine took his hand and led him to where he knew Kurt's bedroom was from the skype tour. They sat down on the bed and talked about the last few weeks, Blaine's loneliness, their issues, the things he'd done for Kurt and the future Kurt was working towards. Finally Blaine took out his phone and showed Kurt the messages between himself and Eli.C.

Kurt put the phone down on the bed and took Blaine's hand and cupped his cheek with the other. "I love you, Blaine Anderson. I'm sorry you've felt alone, so have I but in the end we'll be together for the rest of our lives. We can get over this. Just a few more months, then everything will be better and I won't hang up on you saying you love me, I'll say it first. Eli doesn't matter. You need attention. You need to work on that and I need to work on my attention span. I love you Blaine."

Blaine nodded, his eyes full with tears. "I love you too Kurt and I will work on that. I'm so proud of you. We're going to take this place by storm, you and I. We can do this. I love you."

They fell asleep curled up together, their love cooling inside each other's bodies, never noticing the torn apart couple returning from their night, their love broken when Kurt and Blaine's was stronger than ever before.

In Lima months later a young man watched a couple walking through the Lima Mall, chatting and laughing, the taller one pulling the younger one by the hand as the younger one whined about seeing the perfect bowtie shop. Their eyes connected and they both raised their hands in a little wave. The taller man saw and looked over. They nodded at each other and the young man walked away to his boyfriend. Months ago they'd both almost made a huge mistake and two couples had almost been torn apart, but in the end whatever the taller man had done to pull his bowtie-loving boyfriend back, he'd thank him for it til the day he died, watching the sun set with the man he loved.

End Notes: Hope you liked!

Beautifull!!! Now this is what should have happened! And this is why I love reading your stories, they always leave me with a smile :-)

Aww thanks! I try. Yeah this should have happened, I think someone needs to tell Ryan Murphy he got the episode wrong lol.

Haha I think many people screamed that to him, so I expect he received the message loud and clear hehe

This was really good. Why couldn't something like this happen on Glee instead of what actually happened. Oh well I guess that is what fan fiction is for, somewhere to turn to and read happy stories when the show is being difficult and breaking up fan favorites. I would definitely read more of your stories, I have loved the ones that I have read so far. Thank you for writing a story of what might have happened if different decisions were made.

I think the line from the New Normal says it best 'just breaking up my two main characters. There, done, many teen tears.' I love how the fandom rises up and about 60% says 'No! We will write and read of better times and how things could be!' and the other 40% go 'I'm off to Crisscolfer land, let me know when Ryan comes to his senses.' Thanks for the great review.
