Original Song
This tiny drabble is my headcanon for Blaine`s internal monologue before the kissing scene in Original Song, because that scene will never not be cute.

Im just going to go in there, tell him I like him and then kiss him. Blaine tells himself after five minutes if pacing in front of the wooden doors. He stops abruptly and lets his hand hover over the doorknob.
Nope, not happening. He thinks when his hand is not appearing to be touching the knob any time soon. I cant do it.
But he did say he liked me. The more confident part of his brain tells him.
But that was ages ago. What if its too late? The other part argues.
If I dont do it some other guy will in no time. I cant let that happen. Okay, on three.
One...
Two...
Three...
Congratulations, Blaine, you havent moved. He praises himself sarcastically. You just need to man up and hope you wont make a complete idiot out of yourself.
Come on, he whines when his body refuses to listen to his mind, Kurt has been brave enough to tell you he has feelings for you, now its your turn.
But Kurt is Kurt. He thinks, dreamily. Man, Kurt is amazing. Hes so cute. And funny.
Getting away from the point. The point is open the frying door and talk to him. Just like youve talked to him a bazillion times before. He almost does it. Almost.
But right before his fingers touch the cold metal of the doorknob that nagging voice in the back of his head says: Except its not like those times at all.
Blaine, dont think about it and just DO it!
And he does. He opens the door, hes almost shocked by the simple action. But he knows theres no going back now.
‘Whats that? Blaine asks, desperately trying not to show how nervous he is. He walks to the table as casually as possible.
Kurt looks up at Blaine, startled. And when Kurt looks him in the eyes Blaine knows; I can do this.
