Happy New Year guys! This is my first drabble, so Im sorry if it sucks. Im not the best at writing things that are less than 1k words, generally so yeah...
Ten…
It was Kurt's first New Year with Blaine and much to his happiness, they were able to celebrate it together.
Nine…
Blaine's palms were sweating; his heart fluttering in his chest. He desperately wanted to kiss Kurt when the clock struck twelve but they hadn't been dating all that long and he wasn't sure if he should get Kurt's consent or just, you know…go for it.
Eight…
Kurt glanced over at Blaine who was looking around nervously at the people surrounding them.
Seven…
Blaine's eyes darted around the room, trying to look at everyone except his boyfriend, which was easier said than done.
Six…
This was it. Kurt was going to do it. He was going to kiss his boyfriend when the clock hit twelve and steal his first New Year's Kiss.
Five…
Should he or shouldn't he? Blaine literally had a few seconds to make a decision that he could possibly end up regretting.
Four…
Would Blaine want him to kiss him, though? He didn't seem to be very interested in Kurt at the moment.
Three…
Blaine's heart began to beat even faster, if that was humanly possible. He had no idea what he was going to do.
Two…
Kurt took in a deep breath, preparing himself to kiss Blaine. Why was he so nervous about this kiss?
One…
“Happy ne- mphff…” Blaine was cut off by Kurt practically smashing their faces together when the clock hit twelve. The kiss, however, caught them both off guard and resulted in them mostly just clanking their teeth together instead of actually kissing.
“Ow,” Kurt said with a laugh, pulling away from Blaine. “That didn't go exactly as planned.”
“It's okay,” Blaine laughed. “Hopefully we'll have many more opportunities to make up for that.”
Kurt grinned, leaning back in to kiss his boyfriend properly.
“Happy New Year,” Blaine whispered against Kurt's lips.
“Happy New Year.”
