Yep, Beth (quizasvivamos) stumped me as well in the Fic Line Guessing Game! This one is unbeta'd for now, cause I just wanted to get it out lol
I love you Beth! I'm glad you liked it =D ♡
“Good night bud, I love you,” Blaine said as he kissed his son’s unruly dark curls, so much like his own. Gently, trying his best not to wake him, Blaine scooted off the bed and made his way out of his bedroom. Julian had been wanting to sleep in his own bed more often lately, so he and Kurt made sure to treasure the nights their son still wanted to co-sleep with them.
Blaine turned off the overhead lamp and plugged in the dinosaur night light before closing the door most of the way. He could smell Kurt baking in the kitchen, so, like a particularly well trained scent dog, he followed his nose and snuck up to Kurt who was dancing to the music coming from his earbuds as he mixed dough.
“Watcha doing, honey?” he said as he snuck his arms around Kurt’s waist.
Startled, Kurt pulled out his earbuds and turned his head. “Jeez, Blaine. Way to sneak up on a guy. I could have been cutting things, you know.”
“Yes, I do know. But you weren’t. After all these years of watching you bake, I know very well the specific way your lovely biceps bulge when you’re whisking…” Blaine lightly ran a hand down Kurt’s well defined arm as if to prove a point. “So? What are you making?”
Kurt leaned back into Blaine’s comforting embrace before he answered. “Oreos. Jules is supposed to bring a treat to school tomorrow, but the notice for it had gotten lost between those for one of the other upcoming events. His teacher reminded me of it when I picked him up today.”
“Oh, yeah, I vaguely recall something about that, but it’s been a while. Sorry, I should have remembered,” Blaine said, softly kissing Kurt’s neck in lieu of an apology.
“Don’t worry about it, I’d forgotten it, too.”
With a squeeze, Blaine unwrapped his arms from around Kurt and jumped up to sit on the clean bit of counter on the other side of the sink. “You could have just gotten some from the store, you know. Most of the other parents do.”
“Blaine!” Kurt gasped, scandalised. “I am a well known pastry chef and own my own bakery! Our child cannot show up to school with store bought junk food! Oh god, my reputation would be in shreds.”
Blaine snickered quietly and nudged Kurt with his bare foot. “You sure? I’ve always kinda liked those knock off Twinkies from the bodega around the corner.”
Kurt huffed and turned up his nose. “Yes, well, you have the taste buds of a sugar addicted three-year-old. As long as it’s sweet and has unsaturated fat, you’re happy.”
Blaine hopped off the counter and sidled up to Kurt. He leaned his head on his shoulder and turned his puppy dog eyes on full blast. “Aww, don’t be like that, honey. You know your baking will always be the sweetest to me.”
