"Hold still," Kurt whispered softly.
Blaine's face relaxed, his eyes closed against the soft morning light that was drifting through the open window. The wispy curtains billowed gently in the slight breeze, and the smell of fresh grass and the sweet tang of summer filled the room.
Kurt leaned down until his face was mere inches from Blaine's and pinched the tiny, pitch-black runaway eyelash between his thumb and forefinger from where it had strayed to the delicate skin beneath Blaine's eye. He inspected it for a moment, then admired the way Blaine's other eyelashes fanned down and cast shadows across his cheekbones. He felt like he was somehow holding a tiny sliver of beauty on the tip of his finger.
With his other hand, he stroked the smooth spot where the eyelash had landed, and Blaine's golden eyes fluttered open. He stared up at Kurt adoringly with a gentle smile. Kurt held his finger out to Blaine, careful not to blow it away.
"Make a wish," he murmured.
Blaine stared at him for a moment in the way Kurt still hadn't quite gotten used to. The way his honey-flecked irises bored into his own made him feel like Blaine could see all the way inside of him, deep down to his very soul. Then his smile grew, and Kurt mirrored it back at him. "I don't have to," he said, his voice still gravelly with sleep.
Kurt's brow furrowed. "Why not?"
Blaine reached out and ran a hand through Kurt's sleep-mussed hair. "Because they've all already come true."
Kurt wanted to snort, because it was sucha line, and it was incredibly corny, but it was also incredibly Blaineand he was still staring at Kurt like he was everything wonderful in the world wrapped into one. So he smiled softly instead and glanced back to the eyelash still on his finger. "Well, you should never waste a wish anyway."
Blaine rolled his eyes but grinned and thought for a second before craning his neck up to blow the lash away.
"What did you wish for?" Kurt teased, his nose crinkling as he grinned down at his boyfriend.
Blaine just grinned even wider, and then Kurt hadto kiss him, because he was beautiful and warm and everything felt right. When he pulled back, Blaine was laughing.
"What?"
"My wish came true again."
His eyes danced with light, and then Kurt was laughing with him. As Blaine pulled him back in, Kurt thought that Blaine was right. All of their wishes hadcome true.
