I wrote this ages ago. And its actually the first thing Ive ever posted here!
Its not much really, just a little bit of an idea I had for a full fic that I never got around to.
Enjoy!
Kurt sat on a rickety bench on the outskirts of Central Park, a soft warm wind blew in his face as he let his head roll back and forth on his shoulders. Spring was finally here again; he loved the sound of birds and children laughing. He allowed his mind to wander about summer, the heat on his skin, and how beautiful New York looked wearing green grass and blooming flowers.
Until his fantasy was interrupted by a familiar face, but as far as he knew the man in front of him could interrupt any fantasy he was dreaming up. They both smiled at each other as Kurt placed a chaste kiss on his lips.
“I'm dying for some pizza.” Kurt said, pulling away.
“Mario's?”
“Mhm, always.”
The man entangled his fingers through Kurt's, his hands warm and soft; as they began to walk down the path in front of them. Kurt looked to his right, where children ran and laughed on the playground; then back to the man on his left. “Blaine?” He looked at him, curiously.
“Yeah?”
“You ever think we could have children one day?” Kurt asked hopefully.
“Us? Of course!”
“Well what do you think about it?”
“I don't know, I feel like I'd be the type of dad who'd like forget to pick the kid up from daycare or something.”
“Oh shut up-” Kurt whacked Blaine's arm playfully, “You'd be an amazing father.”
“You'd be an even better one.” Blaine said and Kurt blushed, not only because the sun shining down on them made Blaine's eyes shimmer, but also because he thought about him and Blaine in the future. Sitting on a park bench watching their own child play on the swings, hearing his or her's laughter through the rest of the screaming children.
Kurt and Blaine walked up to Mario's, Blaine held the door open for Kurt as he walked passed him and stood in line, Blaine following behind him. Once they ordered they sat down in their usual spot and Kurt took the biggest first bite, feeling so hungry.
“I can't believe that after all this time, we're still going to this shitty rundown place.” Blaine said now taking his first bite.
“Oh come on. You love this place.”
“Yeah because so much as happened here... But I'd much rather eat pizza from Domino's than here.”
Kurt gasped, almost jokingly, “It's not THAT bad, Blaine.”
Blaine sternly looked at Kurt with a grin over his face. “Well it's not good.” Blaine replied, taking another bite of his pizza and leaving the conversation at that.
Kurt smiled, remembering the first time they visited Mario's after making out in a coat-room.
He looked at Blaine now, a year had passed and he didn't understand how he deserved the man that was sitting in front of him. So perfect, and incomparable in every way.
“Do you remember the first night we came here?” Kurt asked, knowing Blaine's answer.
“I remember you being all over me.” Blaine teased.
“You were all over me!”
“I can't deny that. You looked so good that night.” Blaine said and bit his lower lip, leaning over the table to kiss Kurt again; this time their lips tasting like tomato sauce. “The pizza tastes better off your lips.” Blaine said and Kurt blushed, shoving him away playfully.
They fell silent, only focusing on their pizza.
