Kurt looked anywhere but at the man next to him. He could feel the guy's eyes on him as he tried to hand Kurt a drink.
"No thank you," Kurt politely declined again. This guy just would not get the hint.
"Aw, come on baby," the man drawled, hand making its way to Kurt's shoulder.
Kurt grimaced, poking the man's hand away. His eyes darted around the bar, looking for an escape.
Finally, he saw a man on the other side of the room, all curly hair and slight smiles. He looked to be alone and he seemed harmless enough, Kurt thought as he stood up from the counter.
"Where you going?" the persistent man at his side asked.
"Found my boyfriend," Kurt replied tersely. He crossed the room quickly, trying not to think about what he was doing. He could still feel the man's drunken gaze following him as he walked away.
Kurt slipped into the booth that mystery guy was sitting at, moving in close. The man glanced up at him, mouth opening as if he were about to say something.
"Can I ask you a really big favor?" Kurt whispered, cutting off the man before he said anything.
He looked surprised, but nodded, his hazel eyes wide.
"See that guy over there?" Kurt asked, jerking his head ever so slightly towards the drunken guy.
Hazel Eyes nodded again.
"He won't leave me alone and I kind of sort of told him that you were my boyfriend, so if you could maybe play along.... I mean, just let me sit here until he leaves," babbled Kurt, becoming less and less confident with his plan.
Hazel Eyes looked at Kurt for a moment, mouth upturned in a slight smile, before slowly wrapping his arm around Kurt's waist and pulling him in.
"I'm Blaine," the man whispered, lips dangerously close to Kurt's face.
Kurt swallowed before responding with the faintest movement of his mouth, "Kurt."
Less than a minute later, both men saw Drunkard himself moving closer and closer.
"What the hell," Kurt sighed, closing his eyes and unconsciously moving into Blaine.
Eyes still closed, he started a bit when he felt Blaine's breath minutely close to his lips.
There was a pause as neither said a word, Kurt too nervous to even open his eyes.
"I'm going to kiss you, is that okay?" Blaine asked, voice barely a whisper.
Kurt inhaled sharply before nodding imperceptibly. His eyes fluttered open as he felt Blaine's lips on his.
Almost on instinct, his hand flew up to the side of Blaine's face, pulling him deeper into the kiss. One of Blaine's hands made its way to the back of Kurt's head, fingers weaving through his hair.
Their mouths moved together hungrily before Blaine pulled away slowly, Kurt letting out a slight whimper.
"He's gone," Blaine said, face red as he glanced over towards where the drunk guy had been seated.
"Oh," Kurt murmured, wringing his hands, unsure of what had just happened.
"Yeah," Blaine whispered, eyes flicking from Kurt's eyes to his lips.
"Yeah," Kurt breathed in response before moving in again, mouth crashing into Blaine's.
"We should send him a thank you card," Blaine laughed against Kurt's lips before pulling him back into the kiss.
