White Christmas
My take on what could have happened when Kurt and Blaine went back to Kurt's apartment after White Christmas in 4x10. Written before the episode aired, so no Burt drama here ;)

"Blaine?"
Blaine looks up from where he's kneeling on the ground, carefully putting his clothes in his bag after changing into his pajamas, to find Kurt sitting on the bed, biting on his lower lip, something he only does when he's nervous.
"Yes? What is it? Is something wrong?"
"It's just... Can I tell you something?" Kurt asks, suddenly looking very insecure, even though he seemed so happy and at ease earlier tonight.
"Of course you can," Blaine answers immediately, making his way over to the bed to sit next to Kurt. He thinks about taking Kurt's hand in his own for a second, but he isn't sure if that would be overstepping some kind of boundary.
Kurt seems to be contemplating whether to go ahead and say what he wanted to say or not, but eventually he just takes a deep breath and says: "Tonight, when we were ice skating,... For a moment I thought... I just - I thought..." He doesn't finish his sentence and looks down at his lap.
Blaine notices his friend's discomfort and decides that maybe taking his hand wouldn't be such a bad thing. After all, it's something he has been doing since the moment they met.
"Hey, look at me," he says softly as he interlaces his fingers with Kurt's. When Kurt finally lifts his head and his beautiful blue eyes meet Blaine's, he continues: "It's okay, you can tell me anything. We're best friends, remember?"
For a brief moment he thinks he sees disappointment in Kurt's eyes, but it's gone as soon as it appeared and after a short silence he hears him whisper: "I thought you were going to kiss me."
Now Blaine is the one to duck his head, unable to look Kurt in the eye as he answers. "I wanted to. Kiss you, I mean. But you had just said that you wanted me to be your friend again and I was scared that I would screw everything up if I kissed you."
It's suddenly extremely quiet in the room and for a moment Blaine thinks he said the wrong thing. Then again, earlier tonight they'd promised to always be honest with each other, to always say what was on their minds. So that's what Blaine did.
After what seems like hours, but is probably only a minute, Kurt breaks the silence. "I wanted you to."
At that, Blaine looks up at him and Kurt must notice the confusion in Blaine eyes, because he clarifies: "To kiss me, I mean." Blaine can't stop the soft gasp coming out of his mouth when he hears Kurt's confession. Kurt wanted him to kiss him. His eyes flick down to Kurt's mouth and he can't help but lick his own lips at the thought of getting to kiss Kurt again. He can't do this without being 100% sure though.
"So it wouldn't screw everything up if I did?"
"No, it wouldn't," Kurt responds, suddenly sounding sure of himself again. "I want you to."
And that's all the encouragement Blaine needs. He closes his eyes and leans in, meeting Kurt in a soft and chaste kiss. It's everything he's longed for and he's still terrified of messing things up, but Kurt doesn't seem to feel that way, because he presses his lips against Blaine's more firmly. Just as Blaine's about to pull back, he feels Kurt's tongue sliding against his lower lip. He lets out a gasp and parts his lips, allowing Kurt's tongue entrance.
He's hoped for such a long time that someday he'd get the chance to do this again, and now it's finally happening and he feels like he's dreaming. Well, if this is a dream, he never wants to wake up. He hears someone moan, not sure whether it's him or Kurt, and that's when he pulls back. He doesn't want to go to fast. They've talked things through, they're okay now, so they have all the time in the world to rebuild their relationship.
By the time the kiss ends they're both breathing heavily. They just sit there for a while, trying to catch their breath, fingers still intertwined. When Kurt opens his eyes, he whispers: "Will you sleep here tonight? Will you hold me? I need to feel you next to me. I need you to be the first thing I see when I wake up, or I'll just think this was all a dream."
"Of course I'll stay with you," Blaine answers, moving the both of them so they're lying on the bed on their sides, facing each other. "As long as you'll let me, I'll always stay with you."
"Because you love me?" Kurt asks, his eyes sparkling with a few unshed tears.
"Because I love you," Blaine echoes. As Kurt moves to lay on his back, Blaine rests his head on Kurt's chest. He falls asleep to the sound of Kurt's heart beating steadily beneath his ear.
