Author's Notes:

Sorry this story has taken this long to get on this account. Its been on my fanficion account and tumblr for about a month but at the time I couldnt log on here so its only going on now. This story was inspired by my own trip and I wrote it while I was out there. So enjoy.

The streets of Florence, Italy were packed with people as the spring sun shinned upon the crowd enjoying what the city had to offer below. Kurt rushes through the people, with one hand above his body holding his camera above him hoping to get a decent picture while keeping it safe from the people pushing against him. He swears under his breath as a local man pushes into him almost knocking him flying. Without a word an apology he wanders off as if nothing has ever happened leaving Kurt slightly shocked.

The square is packed with tourists and locals all trying to take a look at what is happening over the barriers. Kurt cant see it but he can hear the "wows" and the "oohs" but he doesnt know what its for. He tries to move closer but doesnt make it that far. Every now and then he sees flags fly into the air and come back down at great speed. He begins to speed up, he feels like a chid again. He wants to discover whats on the other side.

It must be some sort of celebration for Easter Sunday he thinks to himself as he pushes his way past a small family who are too busy arguing about where they are going to eat that night. He finally pushes forward and gets to the barrier. He nods at the Japaneses tourists next to him. He brings his camera back down and begins to take some photos.

He finds the source of the people throwing the flags, people in what looks like 15th century clothing are slow moving along towards Piazza del Duomo twirling and throwing their flags into the air.

Kurt snaps as many pictures as he can before he hears a muffed voice behind him in the distance.

"Blaine?!" Kurt asks as he quickly scans the area around him.

"KURT?" The voice says as it slowly starts to catch up. In a few seconds Blaine finally catches up to Kurt giving him an evil look. "You left me." A hurt Blaine says as he sticks out his lower lip to show how hurt he was.

"Im sorry, but I got all excited." Kurt replies as he takes Blaines hand and slowly strokes his fingers. Blaine sighs for a second as he takes a quick look at the people around him. He thinks for a second.

"Its okay but I know how you can make it up to me." Blaine says in a low voice knowing how much Kurt loved that.

"Oh I see and what might that be?" Kurt carries on with the playful tone.

"Pizza and Ice Cream…..I found the perfect place just down that road." Blaine says as he begins to lean in towards Kurt, expecting a kiss but Kurt plus back.

"Finally Pizza and Ice Cream but after the fireworks, Ive been waiting ages to see the Scoppio del Carro and Im not going now."

"Deal" Blaine replies as he starts to watch the people.

After a while a giant wooden cart is pulled into the square by white oxen covered in flowers. Immediately everyone draws out their cameras again to take a picture, especially Kurt. Blaine watches with great interest. The crowd begin to boo as a fire engine pulls up in front of them blocking their view with both Kurt and Blaine joining in. Eventually they move and they both have a perfect view of the wooden cart.

Before they know whats happening sparks start to fly out of the sides of the cart and its the event theyve all been waiting for. Fireworks spring into life making, shooting out and wowing the crowds. Cameras raise higher as even try to get a picture of this event.

"Its beautifully" Blaine utters as he pulls out his own camera, joining Kurt and the rest of the crowd.

"It is" Kurt replies as he leans his head on Blaines shoulders and watches the fireworks with his favourite person in the world.
