Blaine,
New York is great, but it’s not home. We just finished talking on Skype. I told you I had to go make dinner, but the real reason I hung up is that it breaks my heart to hear your voice for too long. I know it’s hard on you and I don’t want you to see me cry. This is hard on me too. And I don’t want to push you out, so all the things that I can’t say to your face, I’ll write in this letter. As for the city, well… it’s magical. There’s never a dull moment here. Everything is flashy and bright and full of life. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes and saying, “just like you,” so shush! To be honest, I’m just happy that I got through my first day of classes without getting lost (okay, okay… you already know that’s a lie, but just go with it, for me). Rachel is busy moving furniture in the living room to create “optimal performance space.” I can’t believe she still hasn’t realized that I’ll just move it all back when she goes to bed. Thank God I’m not here alone, but I wonder how long it will take for my sweet Ms. Rachel Berry to push me to the brink of insanity. The worst part is that you won’t be here to pull me back. I’m sorry, this isn’t supposed to be one of “those” letters, but I promised to tell you everything that I’m thinking while we’re apart. So I’m being 100% honest when I say that I miss you. I haven’t missed anyone this much since my mother passed. I know that we said it’s not goodbye, it’s just see you later… but exactly how long is “later?”
Yours,
Kurt

God, Kurt…
You have no idea how good it felt to get your letter. I know we talk all the time (so much that Sugar threatened to break my phone if I don’t give her my full attention the next time she’s telling a story), but nothing beats the feel of holding the letter that you wrote. It makes me feel close to you, in a way that even a phone call can’t match. It’s just… romantic. I guess this is the beginning of our Notebook fairytale, except we won’t be as stubborn as them. Since you said it first, I’ll admit it too… I cried once you ended that Skype call. Actually, it was a bit worse than that. I might have turned off all the lights and played that rain sounds CD you gave me last year… I also might have whispered your name into the darkness a few times. What can I say? I seem to have developed your flare for the dramatic, sweetheart. Mckinley is so different without you. Mr. Schue is trying to get us all back into the groove of things, but even he knows it’s not the same without Rachel constantly interrupting and trying to take over. So, our theme for this week is “moving on.” Something tells me I won’t be doing very well… But, you know how happy I am for you, Kurt. I don’t want anything to take away from that, or to take away from YOU. I am so proud of you, and I can’t wait to come visit you. I’m planning for sometime before Christmas, though something tells me that my dad won’t be too pleased about it… Cooper offered to cover for me, say that we need some brother bonding time or something. I’ll keep you updated. I think about you every single day, Kurt… every single moment. I have never loved anything or anyone the way that I love you. I’m counting down the days until I see you again (it’s a little difficult since I don’t know the exact number….)
Yours, always,
Blaine

Babe,
I think it’s adorable that you didn’t think you’d do well on that assignment (especially since Tina called to tell me that you made everybody tear up – hmm… you seem to have left that part out when you told me about it!). Anyways, I’m glad that school’s getting a bit easier. I know it takes time…. I’m just getting used to waking up to the sound of car alarms and people screaming. I performed my first monologue in my acting class today. I decided to save this story for my letter because, to be honest… it’s horribly embarrassing. I’m so used to acting for glee club performances that I never realized I haven’t really learned to do anything else. Our first assignment was a dramatic reading. Everyone clapped when I was done, but our teacher just stared at me, like she was waiting for something else to happen. Finally she said, “Well, that was certainly dramatic. Kurt, all the world’s a stage, but not all the world’s a Broadway stage. Keep that in mind.” When she handed me my review it only said, “Tone it down!” It’s not that I didn’t know my classes would be hard and the teachers would be very critical, but… I don’t know. I just feel like I’m a million years behind everyone else. Half of these people were on TV by age two and it’s just that, well, sometimes I worry that I’m not good enough. Put your guns away, Blaine… I know what you’re going to say. You’re going to give me a big speech that I’m sure will be both charming and uplifting, so thank you, in advance. I vented all of this to our doorman, Roger. He’s become a bit of a confidante here. And you know what he told me? “You’ll do great! Just take a chance. Have some heart, kid.” And maybe that’s the problem… I left my heart in Ohio, with you. Cooper called me today, he was asking when would be the best time for you to come see me. I guess that means the plan is working out… One month without you is much too long.
I love you.

Kurt,
You know me too well. A well-deserved lecture is EXACTLY what you’re going to get! You are insanely talented, and they are lucky to have you! That being said, you went there to learn. If you already knew everything they had to teach you then you’d just be wasting your time. So just take the criticism with a grain of salt, work hard to improve, and remind yourself that you’re living in the city of dreams, living YOUR dream. I am completely confident that you’ll be on a Broadway stage one day, and I’ll be in the front row cheering you on. But for now, know that I’m thinking of you, for every monologue you do or song you sing. I know it’ll be great. Things are going pretty well here. Mr. Schue keeps reminding us that Sectionals is getting closer and we have to be serious. The REIGNING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS have to bring it! Just thought you could use a little reminder! J Yeah, Coop called me too, but he won’t tell me what he’s up to. He seems to have some tricks up his sleeves, but hey… if those tricks involve me seeing you then I’m all for it! I miss you, Kurt. It’s no fun doing homework in the library without you, there’s nothing to distract myself with, unless I keep up our footsie tradition… I guess I’ll have to replace you with Artie. Don’t worry, I’m kidding (obviously). Artie’s more your type! ;) Mr. Schue announced some big news today, though I’m sure that by the time you get this letter, someone will have cracked and told you (fingers crossed that it wasn’t me!). Ms. Pillsbury’s pregnant! She’s not very far along yet, but they’re expecting the baby next May. It’s pretty exciting, I guess… if you like that kind of thing (I DO!!). I guess I should finish this French assignment. The language is a lot harder without you here to copy the answers from.
I love you too.

No, my dear, your eyes are not deceiving you. You’re getting TWO letters this week, consider it an apology for my last one taking so long. I just hope you haven’t mailed your response yet. I have a surprise for you, I’m excited to share, but… not yet. I have to build anticipation first. You wouldn’t believe the day I’ve had. Cooper woke me up on the phone this morning at FIVE AM… no lie. I considered disowning him as my brother, but we actually had a pretty interesting conversation so I’m letting him live. The rest of my day has been equally thrilling. I’ve been running around, making phone calls, doing homework and trying very hard not to miss my flight. Well, damn.. I guess I’m not very good at keeping secrets, huh? What I’m trying to say, Kurt, is come downstairs!
Blaine
(I really hope you get this on time, otherwise I might lose my patience and come up there to get you myself….)

Blaine paced through the small lobby of Kurt’s apartment building, twisting his hands anxiously. Cooper had called him early that morning, giving him little information aside from the fact that he needed to pack a bag and be in the driveway ready to go at 7:30 AM. It was now mid-afternoon and Blaine was becoming increasingly nervous as the seconds ticked slowly by, with no sign of his boyfriend.
His head snapped up as the elevator doors slid open, sighing loudly as two girls walked past him, their perfume lingering in the air long after they’d left.
“Calm down, kid.” The voice made him jump slightly, bringing him out of his thoughts for a few seconds as he focused on the doorman speaking to him. Roger… Blaine was pretty sure that Kurt had called him Roger. “You’re gonna give yourself a heart attack.”
“You gave him the letter, right?”
“Like I told ya the past ten times you asked,” Roger laughed, “I gave him the letter when he came in from class at 12:40.”
“And what time is it now,” Blaine asked, bouncing slightly on the tips of his toes.
Roger shook his head then, pulling his jacket sleeve over his elbow to peer at his watch. “12:57.”
“Do you think he’s read the letter yet?”
”Kid, I think you know Kurt better than I do, but I’m pretty sure all of Manhattan’s gonna know when he reads that letter.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right,” Blaine mumbled, though he was now contemplating taking the stairs two at a time and busting Kurt’s door down himself.
But before he could put his thoughts into action, Blaine heard three things at once, almost too fast to process.
The first was the elevator doors sliding open, though that was effectively drowned out by the second, a deafening shriek that sounded vaguely like his name. The third thing Blaine heard was the air exiting his lungs as Kurt slammed into him from behind, arms wrapping tightly around his waist.
“Well, hello to you too,” Blaine said, spinning himself around in Kurt’s arms so that they were face-to-face.
Kurt pressed a kiss to Blaine’s lips, unable to contain himself any longer. Blaine pulled back quickly, ignoring the hurt look on his boyfriend’s face as he glanced around them anxiously. He wasn’t used to being able to show his affection so openly in public, and it still made him nervous.
“You’re not in Ohio anymore, Blaine. You can kiss me if you want to,” Kurt said.
“I want to! You know I want to. It’s just…” Blaine trailed off, still looking around, as if he was afraid the hockey team would pop out from nowhere and slushie them.
“There’s nobody in here but us…. except Roger,” Kurt amended. “You don’t mind if my boyfriend gives me a kiss, do you Roger?”
The doorman whistled innocently, his back facing the boys as a small smile pulled at his lips.
“See, I told you,” Kurt whispered triumphantly, pressing his lips to Blaine’s once more. He laced their fingers together, squeezing Blaine’s hand as he continued to stare. “I can’t believe you’re here.”
Blaine smiled widely then, pleased that his surprise had worked. “It’s a good thing you came down when you did. I was getting ready to come up there myself.”
“I’m glad you didn’t. It was nice this way,” Kurt said, tugging Blaine towards the elevator. As soon as the doors closed behind them, Kurt pushed Blaine into the corner, pressing desperate kisses to his lips, his jaw, his neck.
“Are there cameras in here,” Blaine asked nervously, slipping his hands around Kurt’s waist as the elevator chimed and the doors slid open on the sixth floor.
”Stop worrying so much, Blaine… we’re two consenting adults. We’re not in Lima anymore. I just want to celebrate with my boyfriend, is that so wrong?”
“Of course not,“ Blaine said, resting his hand on the small of Kurt’s back as he trailed behind him towards Apartment 6C. Kurt unlocked the door quickly, shutting it behind them as Blaine stared, his mouth hanging open.
”Kurt, this is beautiful. It’s so… you.”
“It’s tiny,” Kurt said, blushing as he came to stand next to Blaine.
“Well, I think it’s perfect,” Blaine assured.
“Rachel will be back soon,” Kurt remarked, a small pout evident on his lips.
Blaine kissed him then, only for a second, but it was comforting to feel their lips pressed together again. God, how he’s missed Kurt’s lips.
”No, she won’t,” Blaine smiled shyly as Kurt looked back at him, confusion evident on his face.
“I may have texted her and begged for some time alone,” Blaine admitted sheepishly as Kurt smacked his shoulder.
“Blaine Anderson!” It was hard for Kurt to fake being scandalized when he was so unbelievably happy.
“What can I say? I missed my boyfriend,” Blaine said, pulling Kurt towards him, his hands reaching up to twist into the hair at the base of Kurt’s neck.
“Mmmm…” Kurt hummed, enjoying the feeling of their bodies pressed closely together. “So did I.”
They stood in silence for a few minutes, staring at each other as the seconds passed slowly.
”So that’s why Rachel was acting weird this morning,” Kurt mumbled. “I KNEW she wasn’t on her period!”
Blaine looked at his boyfriend, a smile pulling at his lips. “You sound oddly triumphant about that Mr. Hummel.”
“She told me I was wrong.” Kurt set his mouth in a stubborn pout, his jaw sticking out slightly. “I’m never wrong.”
“Of course not, baby,” Blaine murmured, nuzzling his nose into Kurt’s neck and breathing in deeply. He smelled like soap and spearmint gum and a hint of cologne. He smelled like home.
The tears slipped out of Blaine’s eyes before he even realized what was happening. Suddenly he was clinging, desperate and needy, to Kurt, who was holding him just as tightly.
“I missed you so much,” Blaine said, his voice cracking as the tears continued falling freely down his face.
“I know, I know. I missed you too,” Kurt whispered, gripping Blaine’s face in his hands and kissing him fiercely. He worked their lips together, quickly at first but slowing down as their tears stopped, the kiss turning more intimate.
“Bedroom,” Blaine said between kisses, pulling Kurt down the only hallway in the apartment. He stopped suddenly as Kurt kicked a door open, yanking them both inside the room.
Blaine shoved Kurt roughly onto the bed, quickly following him. Their hands grasped desperately at everything they could reach, clutching on as if they’d disappear if one of them let go.
Kurt pulled Blaine’s shirt off, dipping his head to kiss along Blaine’s collarbone. He bit gently at the skin there, running his teeth over the bone roughly, leaving a long red mark behind.
Blaine groaned softly, his hands clutching into Kurt’s hair as his hips ground down. His hands fumbled over the buttons on Kurt’s shirt, swearing as he tried to undo them all. Kurt laughed, pushing his hands away and undoing the rest before throwing his shirt to the floor. He’d have to get it dry-cleaned later, but it was worth it.
Blaine’s erection was pressing into Kurt’s thigh, hard and hot, through the material of his pants. Kurt moaned, shifting himself so that their cocks were rubbing together and pressing up into Blaine, needing the friction more than ever.
Blaine began pressing wet kisses down Kurt’s jaw, running his tongue up to Kurt’s earlobe and biting down gently as they continued to rut together. Kurt was panting into Blaine’s ear, whispering over and over “I love you.”
Blaine bit down on Kurt’s neck then, his teeth digging into the skin until Kurt whimpered and he let go. The skin was bright red, and Blaine leaned down to run his tongue gently over the spot as Kurt sighed beneath him.
They began moving more quickly, their hearts racing as they pushed together, close as they hadn’t been in over a month.
“Kurt,” Blaine whispered, groaning as he buried his face into Kurt’s neck. His hips stuttered forward as he came in his pants, his blood boiling as Kurt continued to move, reaching his orgasm shortly afterward.
They lay in that position for a few minutes, both panting and too tired to move just yet. Kurt reached his hand up to push the loose curls off of Blaine’s forehead, smiling as Blaine rolled over so they were lying side by side.
“That was… good,” Blaine said, his voice slightly deeper than normal. Kurt laughed, turning his head to look at Blaine.
“It was,” he agreed.
“But fast…” Blaine amended, regret coloring his tone as he smiled apologetically at Kurt. “I just missed you, a lot. In case you didn’t already know.”
“I knew, and I missed you too. Don’t worry though, you have all weekend to make it up to me.”
Blaine smiled, kissing Kurt one more time. “You’re right… I should probably start now.”
