Blaine, Rachel's little brother, is helplessly in love with Kurt, but he will leave for NYC soon.. But what if Kurt's in love with him too?
Kurt was running down McKinley hallways looking for one of Rachel’s hideous animal sweaters among the other students’ outfits.
He found her searching for a notebook in her locker.
“Rachel!” Kurt called her loudly.”Rachel!!”
She turned and smiled to him.”Kurt, what’s up?”
Kurt was beaming from ear to ear, and he made a little hop before speaking.
“I’ve been accepted into NYADA”
The scream that came out of Rachel’s mouth was not human; she hugged him tight and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Oh my god Kurt, I’m so happy for you, it’s amazing!!”
“Please, don’t tell Blaine, I wanna be the one to do that”
“Oh, ok, but.. Why…”
Kurt raised his head and looked right in her eyes. Rachel saw something she’d never seen in them before: regret. A lot of regret.
“Kurt…” Rachel frowned, trying to touch his arm, but he pushed her away. Kurt left and she remained there lost in thought.
If she’d correctly read the feeling in her best friend’s eyes, that would have meant only a thing, and oh my god how it just couldn’t work, it was simply not okay. She had to know for sure if Blaine felt the same.
Speaking of the devil, his younger brother was running down the same hallway Kurt had walked 5 minutes before, with a nervous smile on his face.
“Rach, you have to help me! The school play is in a week and there are a lot of lines I still don’t remember.. Please?!”
He set up his irresistible puppy dog eyes, and she smiled almost bitterly.
“Hey, what’s up? You look so sad, is it something wrong?”
“Nevermind,” cut off Rachel “As your Maria, I can’t help being very disappointed by your lack of concern for the school play.
If you ruin my play and thereby my future reputation at AMDA I promise you I will burn all your bowties.”
Blaine gulped “And I will hide all of your sweaters. Especially the ones with those terrible animals”
Replied Blaine.
“You wouldn’t dare..”
“Try me” Blaine warnerd her.
“Pph, come on, let’s go rehearse instead of wasting our precious time.”
She would have mulled over Kurt’s issue later, but she already knew it wasn’t going to end well.

In the dressing rooms Rachel was still applying her make up for the opening night, but Blaine didn’t miss any of the glances she directed at him all along.
Maybe she was trying to be sure his brother wouldn’t have passed out any moment and ruined her future career as a talented dramatic actress.
“Have you spoken with Kurt recently?” Rachel eventually managed to say.
Blaine had been trying that routine for hours.
Rachel had left and let him rehearse alone in the auditorium, but he couldn’t do it, no matter how much effort he’d put.
He was frustrated; not only he kept forgetting a line every two scenes, he still had problems with the dancing.
Why did they even choose him?
He didn’t have any particular singing gift, he was a mediocre actor and about to fuck up the relationship with his sister forever.
Damn, he wanted to to knock the auditorium down with his fists.
Yelling, Blaine kicked one of the stage spotlights, which went to shatter against the opposite wall.
“Great, now I have to spend money I don’t have to replace that stupid light.”
“We can always say it was one of the hockey players” Kurt smiled at him from near the curtain. Blaine turned around and saw the boy sliding a hand over the fabric as if he had to say goodbye to them for the last time.
“They don’t seem to realize the beauty of the stage”
He smiled at him again, and Blaine’s heart skipped a beat.
He just wanted to tell Kurt how he loved him, how beautiful, special, unique he thought he was.
“Kurt” The other boy smiled wider at the sound of his words. “What are you doing here?”
“I came to tell you that I was accepted into NYADA.
I’m leaving in a couple of months.”
Blaine froze, his skin almost white, and he took a step back, horrified. No. “Tell me this is not true.”
“Blaine, please-
“No, Kurt. Say that. Say that you will never leave me.”
The words had come out of his mouth before he could stop them, but Blaine didn’t care, he wouldn’t have let him go that way, not now that he had understood how important Kurt was.
It didn’t even matter how much pain this would have caused, he had to make Kurt understand too.
He raised his head and held his gaze with proud.
“You don’t even know how it makes me die inside.”
“Try to explain, then.”
“I can’t stay here. I will never be happy like I want.
Maybe if it wasn’t for musical theatre…” He trailed off.
“People are more important than musical theatre” Replied Blaine.
“Even more than dreams? Acting’s been my dream since I was 9, I can’t let it go like that.”
Blaine took his hand and placed it against his own heart.
“Kurt. YOU are my dream. You’ve always been.”
He leaned and kissed him softly, trying to put in that simple kiss all the magnificent feelings that were exploding inside his body.
He held Kurt’s hand tighter when he realized the other boy was kissing him with the same passion.
He wrapped his arms around Blaine’s neck, pulling him closer and making their body perfectly linked to each other, as if he was dreading not to feel him near enough to his heart.
“I’m so in love with you” Kurt whispered to his ear.
Blaine opened his eyes and froze. He couldn’t believe that the boy he’d been in love with for months had just said those words.
He smiled, a single tear rolling down his cheek.
“Please, don’t go.”
“Not exactly. Why?” Blaine asked suspiciously.
“I just don’t want you to fall for him. He will leave for New York soon.” Rachel was looking at him through the little mirror.
She settled better to face him directly.
“I am your sister. I just want what’s best for you”
Blaine looked at her.
“What if I have already fallen for him?”
End Notes: Yaaay!! What do you think guys? :D
