Kurt called his dad to find out where they were. Burt said that he went out to go shopping with Carole and Finn had went to hang out with Rachel. Kurt didn't mind, he liked being home alone. Kurt watched a couple of hours of Fashion Police and realized it was 5:30. Kurt turned off the TV and began to think.
"Maybe I should go visit Blaine at work and watch him perform." Kurt thought. He got up from the couch and changed his clothes. He felt like he needed to go see Blaine perform tonight. Kurt rushed down the stairs and grabbed his keys.
Kurt was just about to walk out the door when suddenly, Burt came in and opened it first.
Burt looked at Kurt as he put the keys on the table.
"Where are you headin' kid?" Burt said.
Kurt stumbled upon his words. "Uh, Uh. I was going to go watch Blaine perform at the coffee shop tonight. You know, for support." Kurt said fixing his jacket.
Burt squinted his eyes. "Huh. Alright, Kurt. But I don't want you coming home too late, you understand?" Burt said moving out the way of the door.
Kurt walked out the door. "Yes, Dad. I'll come home as soon as his performance is over." Kurt said anxiously.
"Alright. Be careful, Kid." Burt said as he sat on the couch.
"I will, Dad." Kurt said as he waved goodbye then closed the door.
Kurt drove to the coffee shop, anxious to get there. He was really excited to see Blaine play. Kurt has seen him play before, but each time was different. More magical than before.
Kurt pulled up to the coffee shop and parked his car. He let out a big sigh and walked out of his car and went straight into the coffee shop.
Once Kurt got in he could already see there was quite a crowd waiting to see Blaine perform. Kurt felt so proud of Blaine. It was impressive to bring in a crowd like this at a small coffee shop.
Kurt stayed where he was, in the back corner trying not to seem anxious for Blaine to notice him.
A couple of minutes later, Blaine came out and sat down on his stool with his guitar. Kurt's heart stopped. Blaine looked perfect and so happy. Kurt smiled and clapped with the others as Blaine introduced himself.
"Um, Hello everyone! My name is Blaine Anderson, and I want to thank you all for coming in tonight." Blaine said as he stroked the guitar chords gently.
Kurt didn't want to make himself noticeable to Blaine. Kurt walked over behind a guy who seemed excited to see Blaine perform, he was smiling very wide and clapped as if he knew Blaine. Kurt quit thinking about it and focused back to Blaine.
Blaine cleared his throat. "I'll be singing a little song called Teenage Dream, I hear its a real crowd pleaser." Blaine giggled.
Kurt got excited. Teenage Dream has always been his favorite song that Blaine has ever sung. It was perfect in every way, and so was Blaine.
Blaine began to sing. It was like, everything in the world had disappeared for a moment and all that mattered was Blaine and his voice. Kurt could feel his heart racing. Blaine's voice was so soothing yet blood rushing at the same time.
Once Blaine finished his performance, everyone clapped with so much enthusiasm. Blaine smiled as he took the guitar off his neck and set it down.
"Thank you, guys! Be sure to grab a drink before you leave, they're the best!" Blaine said as he pointed to the coffee counter.
Blaine walked off the stage and looked into Kurt's direction smiling. Kurt's heart was pounding against his chest again. Kurt smiled as Blaine walked towards where he was.
Blaine got closer, Kurt was just about to speak when suddenly, Kurt realized Blaine wasn't walking towards him. Blaine was walking to the guy in front of Kurt.
"Jeremiah! What are you doing here?" Blaine said as he hugged Jeremiah tightly.
Kurt wasn't even noticed by Blaine. For the first time, Kurt felt actual heartbreak.
