Saturday came faster than the boys expected, before they knew it, they were on a plane back to New York.
"I'm sad to be leaving, but I'm excited to be going back to the twins, I've really missed them." Kurt said after the plane had taken off.
"Me too, it's only been two weeks but it feels like two months."
"Do you think Sam and Tina survived the week?"
"I'm sure, but I wouldn't be sure that we'll ever get them to babysit again. Hopefully Ari didn't bug them too bad." They hadn't talked to Sam and Tina that much in the past week so they had no idea how they had done.
"Maybe they're surprise us." Kurt smiled and rested his head on Blaine's shoulder, preparing for the long day of flying back home.
------------
"Sam, Tina! We're home!" Blaine yelled as soon as Kurt got the door to the condo open.
"Blaine! Kurt! Welcome back, how was California?" Tina ran up to them and hugged them both.
"It was amazing, but we're glad to be back. Where's Sam and the twins?" Kurt asked, setting their bags down in the living room.
"They're in the nursery, it's dinner time."
"How have you guys been? They haven't caused you too much trouble have they?" Blaine asked as they all headed back to the nursery.
"They've been good, as good as babies can be." Tina laughed, pushing open the nursery door. "Ari, Pay-Pay, look who's home."
"Blaine, Kurt, I didn't hear you come in! How was your trip." Sam jerked his head up from putting Payton back in his crib.
"It was great, but we're both happy to be back." Kurt walked over to Payton's crib and lifted him up. "Hey there little man, Papa's missed you so much."
"Have you fed Ari yet?" Blaine asked.
"Not yet, do you want to do it?" Sam held the bottle out for Blaine to take while he picked Ari up.
"Yes, definitely. You have no idea how much I've missed them." Blaine took Ari from Sam and sat down in the rocking chair to feed her.
"They've grown so much in two weeks." Kurt bounced Payton around before sitting in the other rocking chair. "I never want to be away from them for this long again."
"Me either." Blaine smiled, happy to be home with his family.
------------------
"It's been two days and we still aren't unpacked!" Kurt groaned, running his hands through his hair.
"We'll get it, don't worry." Blaine came up behind him and started massaging Kurt's shoulders.
"Why did we decide to go on vacation right before the biggest Vogue fashion show of the year?"
"Because we needed it and deserved it." Blaine shrugged, pulling Kurt to sit on the bed, going behind him to continue massaging his shoulders.
"But now I have three days to finish five designs." Kurt rolled his head forward. "That feels amazing."
"You're insanely stressed. Why did you even agree to do this fashion show? You didn't have to you know."
"I know, but this is the biggest show of the year, do you have any idea how many big names are going to be there? If even one sees my designs and likes them, it could mean big things for me, for us."
"I just don't want you to have too much on your plate." Blaine kissed Kurt's cheek.
"I promise I'll only take as much as I can handle, don't worry your pretty little gelled head." Kurt leaned back into Blaine, sighing.
"Good. The last thing we need is an overworked husband and two screaming babies." Blaine smiled just as his phone started buzzing in his pocket. "Who in the- hello?"
"Mr. Anderson-Hummel? This is Ray Mills' secretary, he talked to you and your husband about a new musical that he was producing for Broadway."
"Oh! Yes, yes I remember, what can I do for you?" Blaine turned the phone on speaker.
"Mr. Mills would like to know if you and your are still interested in the lead roles."
"I-I-"
"Yes! Absolutely!" Kurt almost yelled into the phone.
"Well then, why don't you both come in tomorrow for a meeting with Mr. Mills? He's very excited to get this musical up and running."
"Of course, yes! We'll be there! Thank you so much!" Blaine could barely contain his excitement as he hung up the phone. "Oh my god. Did that really just happen?"
"I think so. I think we're going to be leads in a Broadway show!" Kurt smiled and hugged Blaine tightly, excited to see where this new chapter of their lives leads them.
