Author's Notes: I done my research on colic so I can make this as medically accurate as possible. I wanted something serious, but nothing like cancer or anything, so colic was my choice. The next chapter will be Kurt and Blaine's get-a-way and I'll try to update it in a day or so... I've been busy with scheduling my classes for university which starts next month. It's been quite hectic to say the least.Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter. :)

By the time the weekend came around, Kurt and Blaine had learned just how fussy newborns could be. Ari was fussing almost every two hours even if she didn't want anything, and Payton would start because his sister started. It was driving Kurt and Blaine crazy.

"I haven't had a proper nights sleep in three days, I need coffee." Blaine said as he stumbled into the kitchen at around 4:30 that Saturday morning.

"Get it yourself, it's too early to be up, I'm going to crash on the couch." Kurt grumbled, setting his now empty mug in the sink. He really wasn't a morning person, especially if he hasn't had enough sleep.

"Oh no, if I have to be up, you have to be up, we're going to suffer through this together." Blaine grabbed Kurt's arm to pull him back but Kurt just kind of fell into him.

"Hmmm, you're comfy." Kurt hummed, burying his face into Blaine's neck.

"And you're adorable when you're half asleep but I need coffee." Blaine nudged Kurt until he got the point and peeled himself off Blaine.

"Maybe we should call the doctor and ask her about this. Ari shouldn't be crying like this, maybe something's wrong."

"I think she just wants attention, she's a newborn, they cry a lot." It was too early in the morning for Blaine's brain to really be working, all he could think about was coffee.

"I'm serious Blaine, she's been crying every other hour, it's almost like clock work, and the only reason Payton does it is because Ari does. Something could be wrong."

"Okay, fine, we'll call the doctor later when we know she's in the office, until then, lets go back to bed." Blaine put a rain check on the coffee and wrapped his arm around Kurt's waist, leading him back to their room. Hopefully they'll get a little bit of sleep before Ari starts crying again.

-------------

They were up again at 8:00 because that's when Doctor Jones is suppose to be in her office and Kurt didn't want to miss her. He dialed the number and put it on speaker.

"Doctor Jones, how can I help you?"

"Hey Doctor Jones, it's Kurt and Blaine."

"Ah Kurt, Blaine, how are you? Are the twins adjusting well to being at home?"

"Well they were but then Ari started crying almost every other hour, day and night, and it's kind of got us a little bit worried." Kurt explained.

"Oh, well is there any way you can bring her in?"

"Uh yeah we can, what's wrong with her?" Blaine asked, hearing the seriousness in Doctor Jones' voice.

"I'll need to have her here to check her out, but it sounds like maybe she has colic. Has she been running a fever or vomiting?"

"No, no, just crying, lots of crying."

"Okay that's good, it sounds like colic then, but I want you to bring her in this morning, I know the have appointments on Wednesday, but I need to see her today."

"Okay, we'll be there as soon as we can. Thank you Doctor." Kurt was already digging through the closet picking out an outfit.

"You're welcome, I'll see you in a bit."

"Yeah, see ya." Blaine hung up the phone and followed Kurt's lead in picking out an outfit. "You know, I had colic when I was a baby. My mom said I was absolutely awful, but once it cleared up I was fine."

"I'll go pack their diaper bags while you get dressed. Once you finish can you come and help me get them dressed?"

"Yeah sure, go ahead, I'll be there in a minute. Hey Kurt?" Blaine stopped him before he got out the door.

"Yes?"

"She's going to be fine, if it is colic, it could be a lot worse, so don't worry, we'll get through this."

Kurt sighed, giving Blaine a small smile. "Thank you. I know everything will be okay, I just-"

"I understand, just go get the bags ready, I'll be there as soon as I finish here."

"Okay. I love you Blaine."

"I love you too Kurt."

They got the twins dressed and ready to go and were heading for the hospital in less than an hour, both a little nervous with the nagging question of: 'What if it isn't colic? What if it's something worse?'

----------------

"Well, it definitely looks like colic." Doctor Jones said as she finished examining Ari.

"How can we help her? There's got to be something we can do." Blaine looked over at his daughter where she was currently sleeping.

"There are a few things you can do to help, but the colic itself won't go away until she's about 3-5 months."

"You're kidding right? How are we suppose to stay sane? She cries all the time!" Kurt felt like he was almost ready to have a breakdown, how was he suppose to handle this until she was 5 months old?

"Sadly, I'm not kidding, but I'm going to give you some tips to help her and it should keep her from crying so much. She'll still cry more than Payton, but it shouldn't be as bad as it has been. Also, it helps for the parents to take time away from the baby, maybe have a family member or friend take them for a day or two so you can get some rest."

"Okay, what can we do to help?" Blaine asked, already thinking of people who could watch the twins while he and Kurt had some off time. He could tell Kurt was struggling to keep himself from snapping, so he'd need to do this soon, he'd get to work on calling people as soon as they get home. As soon as he finds someone to watch them, he's going to make sure Kurt has the most relaxing few days he's ever had.
