Author's Notes: So the twins are at home now and everything is finally moving forward, we still have quite a few things to see though, so this isn't ending any time soon.-Krystal :) x

The eight days they had left before they could take the twins home went by faster than Kurt and Blaine expected. There really was a difference between knowing you'll get to take them home and actually getting to take them home, and Kurt was really feeling it.

"What if we forget something? We won't have a nurse there to tell us what to do Blaine, it's just going to be you and me. What if we mess up?" Kurt had been freaking out for almost an hour now, and there was no sign that he was going to stop any time soon.

"Kurt, honey please, just sit down and breathe." Blaine grabbed Kurt by the shoulders and forced him into the chair. "We'll be fine, we can do this."

"But what if we can't?"

"We can, now stop thinking like that. Did you get Payton dressed and ready to go?" Blaine had just finished packing the diaper bag, setting it in the floor so he could get Ari ready to go.

"Yes, he's ready. He really doesn't like those little mittens that his Nana gave him though, he tried to take them off twice."

"They're probably a pair from when Cooper was a baby. Didn't she say they were an old pair she had saved?" Blaine knew his mom had saved a bunch of his and Cooper's baby stuff, just to keep as memories.

"I think so, no wonder he doesn't like them, his Uncle Cooper wore them." Kurt laughed, getting up to help Blaine with Ari. "She seems pretty calm, she hates getting dressed in more than a onesie."

"I promised her that if she behaved, Payton would be the first to get a bath when we got home." Blaine joked, slipping a pair of socks onto Ari's feet.

"I'm sure you did sweetie." Kurt kissed Blaine's cheek before going to pick up the diaper bag.

"Alright, all dressed and ready to go. I'll take Ari and go check on the cab, you can get Payton and the diaper bag, okay?"

"Yeah, I got it, go."

Getting the twins into the cab with their car seats wasn't an easy task, but somehow they managed, with Kurt sandwiched in between them while Blaine rode in the front and gave the cabbie the directions to the condo.

--------------

As soon as they got the twins inside the condo and to their nursery, Blaine collapsed into one of the rocking chairs. "Twins in car seats and cab rides don't mix, I never want to do that again."

"Well get use to it, because as long as it's cold and we have to take them to their doctor's appointments, we're taking a cab." Kurt said, pulling the other chair over and taking a seat.

"We're home. Our family is here, can you believe it?" Blaine smiled as he looked over to the cribs where Ari and Payton were currently napping.

"It's all a little surreal at the moment, at least for me. It felt like this moment would never come."

"I know, I'm just so thankful that we have them, I don't know what I would've done if we had lost them." The thought of possibly losing them because of how early they were born was a thought that had plagued Blaine's mind since Lucy first went into labor.

"Hey, they're here, safe and sound, don't focus on the 'could've beens'."

"I just- I can't stop thinking about what would've happened if they hadn't made it. It could've happened, they were born early, too early if you ask me. I don't think I would've survived that Kurt, I really don't." Blaine broke down, all of the stress he'd been holding in finally finding an escape.

"Oh honey, come here." Kurt knelt down on the floor pulling Blaine with him, holding him close.

"I'm sorry, I'm being stupid, I just can't stop thinking about it."

"You're not being stupid, don't ever think worrying about your children is stupid."

"Thank you."

"For what?" Kurt asked, kissing Blaine's temple.

"For just being you. For loving me and the twins, for being my anchor, for everything really." Blaine sighed, burying his face in the crook of Kurt's neck.

"It's my honor Blaine. We're in this together, we're there for each other, that's what loving someone means."

"I'm just thankful that I have you, and the twins. I don't ever want you to think I take it all for granted."

"I don't, trust me." Kurt stood up, holding out his hand to help Blaine up. "Come on, lets go to our room and cuddle up with a movie."

Blaine smiled, taking Kurt's hand. "That sounds perfect."

"I'll go make popcorn, you can grab the baby monitor and go ahead to pick out the movie."

"Okay, don't forget to get drinks."

"I won't, I won't, just go." Kurt laughed, smacking Blaine on the ass as he walked out of the room.

Having the twins at home was a big step in their new lives as fathers, and just like any first time fathers, they have no idea what's in store for them as their children grow.
