Author's Notes: Chapter End Notes: Okay so I was going back through my notes and realized that Blaine and Burt never really sat down and talking about Blaine and Kurt's realtionship so I decided it was time they did that. And yes my goal is to make Rachel out to be the bad guy(girl) in this particular storyline, I know a lot of people like her and I'm sorry if you do, but she's not going to be played out as a nice person in this. -Krystal :) x

Burt knew something was up the moment Blaine and Kurt came downstairs with dead serious looks on their faces. "What's wrong boys?"

"Dad, before we tell you, you have to promise me you're not going to get upset and start yelling at people because that won't help or solve anything."

"Stop stalling and tell me what the hell is going on." Burt said imapatiently.

"Well sir, today at school Rachel yelled in the hallway that Kurt and I are dating. Now, that wouldn't be too bad on it's own, but Figgins just happened to be in the hallway at the time and heard her, so now he will be investigating her claim." Blaine hurriedly explained, reaching for Kurt's hand for support.

"Wait, how did Rachel find out? Was it Finn? If it was, I swear-"

"No, Finn didn't tell her. I'll let him explain exactly what happened when he gets home, but the main thing is Figgins is going to be asking every student and teacher in the building about my relationship with Kurt. As you know, there are several people who know and we can't ask them to lie for us."

"Like hell you can't! You listen to me Blaine, your job is at stake! If it comes out about you and Kurt, you'll lose your job, and then what? I like you a lot kid, I know at first I was a little wary of this relationship because you are older and you're his teacher, but anyone with eyes can see how much you love each other. I don't want you to lose your job over this."

"Dad, none of us wan Blaine to lose his job, but we can't ask everyone to lie, it's not right and it's not fair to them." Kurt chimed in.

"Kurt's right. I don't want to put them in the postition to where they'll be uncomfortable by having to choose. If they choose to lie of their own accord, then that's their business, but we can't beg them nor can we force them."

Burt looked between his son and Blaine, realizing what Blaine was willing to sacrifice for Kurt. "Okay, you're right, I get it, but you should at least let them know what's going on so they have some kind of heads up."

"We will Dad, and thank you, for everything." Kurt hugged his dad, thankful to have him on their side.

"You're my son Kurt, I will always support you, no matter what."

"Alright, well, I'm going to go call the people that know so I can fill them in on what's happening." Kurt turned and headed back upstairs.

"Hey Kurtm I'll be there in a second, okay?" Blaine wanted to talk to Burt about this without Kurt around.

"Yeah, okay." Kurt didn't even turn around to answer.

As soon as Kurt was gone, Blaine turned to Burt. "This isn't going to end well you know."

Burt sighed, removing his ball cap and running his hand over his head. "Yeah, I know. I want to tell you that I admire you for this. You're willing to sacrifice your entire career for my son and that says a hell of a lot to me."

"I love your son Burt, and I know I'm older and I'm his teacher, but Kurt, he just- I've dated other guys before and none of them ever made me feel the way Kurt does. I was honestly terrified of it at first, but them I found him in the hallway after Karofsky beat him up and I just knew I couldn't deny it anymore." Blaine had never actually professed his feelings for Kurt to anyone except Kurt so this was a little bit nerve-racking.

"All I want is what's best for Kurt, he's so much like his mother, he has her hair, her personality, and I want him to have the life he deserves."

"He doesn't deserve what he's gotten lately." Blaine whispered, mainly to himself.

"No he doesn't, but he'd gotten it anywat and it kills me. Still, there is one thing he's gotten that he does deserve."

"And what's that?"

"You. You treat him with the kindness, love, and respect he deserves and even though he's young, you don't treat him like a child. That's something he never liked." Burt gave Blaine a huge smile.

"To me, Kurt's not a child, he's a man, and I would never treat him like a child just because he's younger than me."

"I know, and that's why I like you so much. You're good for him."

"T-thank you Burt. I just- thank you." Blaine was speechless.

"No problem kid, just take care of my boy."

"I will, always." Blaine promised, and he intended to keep that promise.

As soon as Kurt got to his room, he pulled out his phone to call his friends. Before he could dial a number though, his phone lit up with a picture of him and Rachel. He almost didn't answer it, but knowing she's the reason for all of this, and wanting answers, he hit accept. "You have five seconds to explain before I hang up and never speak to you again."

"Kurt, I swear I didn't mean for this to happen! I had no idea Figgins was there. I screwed up and I'm sorry."

"Damn right you screwed up! Blaine could lose his job over this if it comes out! How is it that you never think about the consequences of your actions Rachel?"

"Kurt please, I just- I wanted to know-"

"There was a reason why I didn't fucking tell you Rachel! You never know when to stop poking your big ass nose into other people's business! I didn't tell you because you have a big mouth and you're awful at keeping secrets. I'm sorry that I was more worried about protecting my boyfriend's job than telling you all the juicy gossip! It's not that you would've actually cared about that though, you're too much of a narcissit to care about others!" Kurt yelled. He felt a lot better after getting his feelings off his chest.

"Do you really think that little of me Kurt? You're my best friend, I would never-"

"Save it Rachel. Go have your pity party somewhere else. Don't call me again, I've heard all I needed to hear from you." Kurt hung up, growling in frustration. This wasn't suppose to happen. He and Blaine were suppose to be happy and in love, and no one, outside of those who already knew, was suppose to find out until after graduation. Apparently the universe had a little something different planned for them.
