"I'll call you tomorrow sometime okay?" Kurt asked Rachel, they had gotten Blaine to the couch before he passed out completely. Now they were outside waiting on Rachel's dads to come pick her up.
"That's fine, don't worry about it, worry about Blaine. I told you I'd take care of everything,, you need to be here and focus on Blaine."
"I know, thank you so much, for everything Rachel. I couldn't do this without you."
"Don't mention it Kurt, you're my best friend I'd do anything for you, and for Blaine. There's my dads, I'll talk to you soon. Go get some rest and take care of Blaine." Rachel said hugging Kurt.
"I will, and thanks again. Now I get to go face my dad and explain why Blaine is laying on his couch looking like he's been living on the street." Kurt said with a sigh.
"Just remember to breathe, once you explain everything to him, I'm sure he'll understand, he loves Blaine like a son."
"I hope so Rach, Blaine doesn't need any more stress."
"It'll be fine. Call me if you need anything!" Rachel said as she got into her dads' car.
Kurt watched them drive away, he wouldn't admit it but he was trying to stall as much as possible, he didn't know what his dad was going to say or do about Blaine.
"Kurt, you wanna come inside and explain why Blaine is asleep on my couch looking like hell?" Burt called from the doorway.
"Uh, I- Dad. Yeah, I'm coming." Kurt wasn't expecting his dad to be downstairs. He could tell by the tone of his voice that his dad wasn't exactly happy.
"Okay, before you say anything, I need you to listen to me, and when I'm done you can say what you want, but please just listen first." Kurt wasnt't sure why he was so nervous, he's not a kid anymore, he shouldn't be so scared to talk to his dad about this.
"Fine, but you'd better have a damn good reason as to why he's here, let's go sit down and talk." Burt motioned to the kitchen so they wouldn't wake Blaine.
"Okay, so you know Blaine and I broke up when he came to New York, but I never said why."
"Yeah, you said you didn't want to talk about it."
"I know, and I still don't wnat to, I'm not going to tell you what happened, not yet anyways. Right now I'm going to explain why I brought Blaine here."
"Okay stop stalling and get to it Kurt."
"Okay okay. We broke up, I was being my usual stubborn self and just refused to talk about it. Now that I think about it, he was upset and unhappy then, but I wasn't focused on that, I was hurt and I shut him out. Anyway, after he got back here he'd call me or text me and I ignored him, I should have noticed something was wrong, but I wasn't paying attention. Then he just stopped calling and texting, I really should have noticed then, but I was just glad to be able to go a day without hearing from him, I needed time, I needed space. Every time he'd call or text I'd have a breakdown. Then I got a call from Sam telling me I needed to come home because something's wrong with Blaine, so of course I dropped everything and flew home. That's why I went to the school tonight, but Dad, it's worse than I could ever have imagined."
"What's wrong with him kiddo?" Burt could see Kurt was getting upset just thinking about this, that made Burt worry for Blaine.
"Well when Rach and I got there, Artie caught us and explained that ever since he got back from New York, Blaine's been different, he started skipping class and Glee, he spends almost all of his time in the locker room boxing. He hasn't been eating well, or sleeping. He's just stopped trying to be social, every time someone would try to get him to talk or try to talk to him he just walks away or comes up with an exuse to leave."
"Kurt-"
"No Dad, that's not all, let me finish."
"Okay." Burt felt sick to his stomach, Blaine had always seemed like such a well put together kid.
"He was in the locker room when we got there. I had to go talk to him, try to help him, I just wasn't ready for what I saw. His hair wasn't gelled, he has horrible bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep, he's skinnier if that's even possible, and he was-" Kurt let out a shaky breathe, trying to hold back a sob.
"It's okay buddy." Burt said, pulling his son into a hug. It had been a long time since he's seen Kurt this tore up.
"H-he was boxing without gloves. His h-hands Dad, I just, they look terrible, but the w-worst part was at first he didn't even realize I was there. He looked up at me and his eyes, t-they were almost lifeless. It was like he wouldn't let himself believe that anyone was there to help him. I had to pull him away from the bag, and then he, he just broke down. It killed me Dad, no matter what happened between us, he's still my Blaine, the boy I fell in love with over a Katy Perry song, and I was being too stubborn to notice that he needed help." Kurt took another shaky breath, trying to keep control over his emotions.
"Kurt, you can't blame yourself for this, he's going to need you, you're going to have to be strong for him."
"You, you're not angry?" Kurt asked, shocked.
"Angry? Why would I be angry? I think of Blaine like a son, he needs someone Kurt, he needs you. I'm worried for him." Burt said with a sad smile.
Kurt returned the smile. "I think I'm going to be staying in Ohio for a while. I can't go back until we work this out and he's stable." He suddenly felt nervous, wondering how his dad would feel about him staying just for Blaine.
"I think that's a good idea Kurt, and I just want you to know that he can stay here as long as he needs to, I know he's going to need to be near you."
"Thanks Dad, I don't know what to say." Kurt pulled his dad into a huge hug, thankful for not the first time, that he has the worlds greatest dad.
"Just take care of Blaine, that's all I want. Now I'm going to bed, you should get some rest too kiddo."
"I will, I'll probably just stay in the living room, just in case he waskes up. I want to be there if he needs me."
"Okay sounds good, and Kurt, it's good to have you home."
"Thanks Dad, it's good to be back."

Kurt walked into the living room, the long, stressful day catching up to him as he yawned. He looked down at Blaine on the couch, he actually looked peaceful, almost like the Blaine he remembered. Kurt hoped he was getting some rest. He looked at Blaine's hands where they were resting on his stomach and took a mental note to wrap them when he woke up. Kurt walked over to the small closet that housed extra sheets and blankets, he grabbed a blanket and went to his dad's 't.v. watching chair'. He could see Blaine from the chair, he watched him sleep thinking about everthing that had happened. He made his mind up then that he was going to help Blaine and they were going to be okay.
"I promise honey, we're going to get through this, together." Kurt whispered and let sleep take over.
