“I’ll see you soon.” Kurt promised for the hundredth time.
“Yeah” Blaine agreed, kissing him again, and again. He turned to Sebastian. “Have a good flight you two,” he looked at Marc who just sighed and wrapped his arms around his shoulders.
“We love you, Blaine. We’ve really missed you.”
“Good to have you back.” Sebastian added, hugging him once Marc let him go.
Kurt clasped onto his hand as soon as he and Sebastian pulled away and Blaine turned to face his boyfriend.
“I’ll text you when we land”
“It’s an hour flight, Kurt.” He smiled. “I’ll only just be home by that time.”
“I love you.” Kurt added just as their flight was called for boarding.
“We gotta go.” Sebastian said, pulling his suitcase.
“Bye,” Marc waved as they walked down the airport.
Kurt kissed his lips briefly, too briefly, once more before turning on his heels and walking away to catch Sebastian and Marc up. Blaine waited for him to look back, but he didn’t.
*
Blaine drove home in silence. He had travelled alone, claiming there wasn’t enough car space but he just didn’t want to have to listen to Santana or Rachel or Aaron talking to him the whole way back without any interest. He didn’t turn the radio on, so instead he rolled down the window and felt the cool air hitting his face.
Their last night had been perfect. Kurt and Blaine cuddled up under the duvets and they just spoke for hours. Blaine told Kurt about him and Lucy’s childhood and how he and Aaron met, and Kurt in return had told Blaine so much about his own childhood. Growing up under the care of a nanny instead of his parents, but always having Sebastian until he moved away for a year. Then he told Blaine about when Marc came along. He briefly mentioned Nick but he didn’t tell that story, Blaine began to wonder if he’d ever hear it. He listened intently as Kurt discussed how he didn’t really want to be anything with his dad’s fashion career (“I actually want to open my own modelling agency”) and how he hopes that one day he and Finn might be able to actually talk, and get to know each other. Blaine offered that Finn is actually an alright guy, and even if Santana might not agree, he’d be happy to help set that up for him.
They drifted off to sleep in one another’s arms a while later, not waking up until almost noon.
They went out for lunch at a little cafe Blaine’s loved since he was a child, and Kurt seemed so intent on listening to every single thing that Blaine had to say about his childhood and about everything he’s been through.
They came back home after their lunch, and ended up seeing another note from Lucy.
B,
Came home, you weren’t here :(
Aaron said you were off with your boyfriend so apparently we need to talk later
Anyway I’m going to Freddie’s.
L
Blaine had scoffed and muttered something about “Freddie. Again.” And he’d told Kurt all when he’d asked. He told Kurt about how Freddie was Lucy’s ex boyfriend and he messed her about so much but she always seemed to run back to him. Kurt sympathised, but admitted that she’d old enough to make her own mistakes and as long as she knew that Blaine would be there for her if and when things came crashing down then that’s all he needed to do. Blaine smiled and kissed Kurt, telling him that he loves him so much.
Sebastian and Marc returned from their walk a while later with some Starbucks cups and they all decided that they would watch a movie before ordering some pizza. They ate comfortably and happily and pleased to be back together as the four of them instead of Blaine being in a completely different state.
Blaine had offered to save them taxi fare and drove them to the airport. They were taking an evening flight and probably wouldn’t be back in New York until about midnight but that just gave them extra time to spend together.
They said their goodbyes fairly quickly, and then Blaine was on his way home again. It would take him about as long as their flight for him to get home, so as soon as he walked through the door, he checked his phone for a message but found none. He checked Lucy was home (which she was, in bed fast asleep) before dropping a text to Santana about what time he’d pick her up the next day for school, and then he fell on his bed and went straight to sleep.

“and you haven’t heard from him?” Santana asked.
Blaine pulled a book out of his locker and slipped it into his bag. “Nothing.” At that moment, his phone vibrated in his pocket. “Aha.” He grinned. He pulled out his phone.
From: Sebastian
Hey man, thanks for letting us stay this weekend. We had a great time. Miss ya buddy xx
To: Sebastian
No problem, dude. It was awesome.
From: Sebastian
Kurt’s phone ran out of battery, by the way. He’ll text you later.
To: Sebastian
I thought he’d just forgot.
From: Sebastian
Wouldn’t count on it. Anyway, gotta run to class, I’ll talk to you later. Marc says hey.
Blaine slipped his phone back into his pocket and turned to a grinning Santana.
“His phone has no battery, he’ll text me later.” Blaine reassured.
Santana shut her locker. “Have more faith in your man, Blaine.”
Blaine shut his too and they began to walk together towards the choir room.

Blaine sat through Glee club happily, everyone seemed still on such a high from their sectionals win over a week ago, and no one seemed too bothered to rehearse for Regionals yet – including Rachel, which was a nice surprise.
Blaine’s phone vibrated in his pocket and he pulled it out carefully, sliding his finger to unlock it.
1 New Text Message
From: Unknown Number
Spotted: Troy the boy toy leaving Kurt Hummel’s bedroom in his underwear, clutching his clothes very tightly to his flushed chest trying to sneak back across campus.
Blaine blinked at the message a few times and passed his phone to Santana when she shot him a worried glance. She stared at it, her mouth dropping open a little bit before she passed him his phone back and moved to the chair next to him.
“I think you need to call him.”
“His phone-” he started, his mouth finding it hard to create words right now. He had a lump in his throat and tried to swallow around it but nothing was working. He could feel himself getting worked up and he felt Aaron’s hand rubbing smooth circles on his back.
“What’s going on?” he whispered, careful not to draw attention to whatever was happening. Blaine handed his phone over, and Aaron read the message carefully.
“Fuck.” He whispered. “I’m sorry, baby.”
Blaine took his phone back reluctantly and he opened his conversation with Sebastian and tapped out a rough message before sending it and holding his phone tight in his hands.
To: Sebastian
Why did I just get a text about Kurt and Troy?
Blaine was staring at his phone for what seemed like an hour when Sebastian’s image flashed up on the screen. Blaine pressed answer and held the phone to his ear.
“Blaine,” Sebastian was whispering. “We never really wanted you to find out about this, especially now that you don’t even live here but there’s this gossip...type person. No one knows who they are, they send anonymous text message updates and sometimes emails to people who are involved in the Upper East Side. Kurt, Marc the rainbow twins and myself are the focus. Every movement we make gets tracked by this person and everyone gets text updates. I got it too, I don’t know what’s going on but I really can’t talk right now, I’ll find out what’s happening and then I’ll text you but seriously, don’t worry. He loves you and he wouldn’t cheat on you. I’ve gotta go Blaine.”
Sebastian hung up the phone, and Blaine slowly bought his down from his ear.
“You didn’t say anything” Santana observed.
“There’s...a person.” Blaine started to explain. “Someone who spreads gossip about them...someone who texts everyone their updates, apparently I’m somehow on that list now.” Blaine himself looked confused, which didn’t help Santana and Aaron’s understanding. “I was never meant to find out, apparently. Seb said he’s gonna find out what’s happening and then text me later.”
“Freaky shit.” Aaron commented.
Blaine’s phone vibrated and all 3 of them looked down at it.

Looks like the Prince’s new boyfriend found out about his little welcome home from an old lover. We love break ups almost as much as we love telling you about it.
“Is this person for real?” Blaine questioned angrily, dropping his phone into his lap.
“Prince?” Santana was suppressing a smile.
“I think it’s just a nickname they picked up. Like, Nick and Jeff are the rainbow twins, I’m the new kid, and Kurt’s the prince and...I don’t know about the other two.”
“The rainbow twins?!”
“You met them.” Blaine offered in defence. “They’re the happiest people you’ll ever meet.”
“Fair enough.” Santana retorted. “So, what are you gonna do?”
“I’ll wait for Sebastian to text me later...and then I’ll get hold of Kurt when I can.” He bit his lip before adding. “I don’t know if I can do this...this long distance thing. Not with all this shit.”
“It’s not fair on you.” Aaron said.
“It’s not fair on anyone. Who does this?” Blaine was moving from angry to upset, and he could feel himself fighting to not draw attention to him. Everyone else in the room were discussing songs and sectionals still.
“I dunno, but we’ll figure it out.” Santana promised, resting her head on Blaine’s shoulder. He moved so his cheek was against her head and let out a breath. Aaron moved his hand completely around Blaine’s waist and put his chin on Blaine’s shoulder, kissing his cheek.
“I love you two so much.” Blaine breathed.
“We’ll always be here for you.” Aaron promised.
