The days that followed were filled with hushed phone calls and secret conversations. Blaine was surprised by how open Kurt was to the idea of phone sex. He hadn't even been serious the first time he'd brought it up.
"You just wish I was there so I could get you off." Kurt had whispered into the phone after Blaine had made a comment about not seeing him all week.
Blaine had chuckled darkly, replying with, "Oh, you don't need to be here to do that, babe."
Kurt had gasped and hesitated, but eventually came back with "I- you- you'd want to… do that? With me?"
It took Blaine a second to get what Kurt had thought he was implying but as soon as he did, a spike of heat shot through him all the way to his toes.
"I would do anything you let me. Jesus Christ." He breathed into the receiver.
He'd heard Kurt whimper before he spoke, "I want to… do that. But- not tonight."
"Of course; let me know when you do, because baby I will make it so good for you."
"Mhm. Okay. Done talking now. Goodnight, Blaine."
"Are you gonna go jerk off?"
"Blaine!"
"No, seriously. I wanna know. Wood for the fire and all that."
"I think the expression is fuel for the fire, Blaine." Kurt corrected before coughing out a, "So- you're…"
"Hard as a rock? Yeah. You don't even know what just your voice does to me, Kurt."
"Blaine…" Blaine could tell it was meant as a warning, despite its absolute lack of authority.
"Don't worry. I'm not starting anything you can't finish. I'll let you go so you can nurse your pretty boner and I can deal with mine."
Kurt was speechless but Blaine wasn't bothered, "I'll be thinking about you. 'Night, Kurt."
That conversation had gone well, all things considering. They weren't even boyfriends; hadn't talked about taking that step at all. They both needed to know more about each other. But they shared the same desire to have fun while they got to that point.
But phone sex? Now that it was a possibility, it filled Kurt's mind. There were times when he'd be at school and Rachel would be going on about something Finn had done wrong and he'd be off in his mind, imagining the day that they'd finally succumb to their hormones and go at it over the phone.
It always left Kurt blushing a little and he'd have to explain it off, urging that he'd had one too many layers on that day.
Then there were the dates. Kurt didn't want to get his hopes up. He knew that they couldn't keep going back to that cottage by themselves. Andy was nice enough once, but with his job on the line each time, Kurt knew it wouldn't happen often. He resigned himself to trying to think up different places they could go, but he didn't know what was off limits so he mostly stuck to daydreaming about movie theaters and bowling alleys – though the thought of wearing thousand-time previously worn bowling shoes makes Kurt nauseous, so he stays away from that when he can.
Still, Kurt was excited at the prospect. He couldn't wait to see what other things Blaine had planned for them.
Their study sessions were often littered with longing looks and too-long touches. They mostly kept their hands to themselves, keeping in mind that they were under strict watch.
Kurt loved it. The way Blaine's eyes would wander from his own down his cheek and his neck to rest at one spot above the collar of his shirt. How he'd lick his lips at the thought of taking the skin between his teeth.
Okay, so he couldn't be sure that that's what Blaine was thinking about, but Blaine was pretty transparent about his… sexual desires, so Kurt was confident that he was right.
He felt a little guilty that he'd gone so far with someone who wasn't even his boyfriend, but there was something about Blaine that washed away any doubt that he had about if he was ready for that or not.
Weeks went by, and they learned more and more about each other. Their second date had to be postponed, unfortunately. Don had made plans to have Blaine help with the kitchen staff after their sessions. Neither of them were quite keen on the idea of having to wait longer for another date, but it was mandatory, and now would be a bad time to get on Don's side by disobeying.
"Sorry about that, my brother was being an ass."
"You have a brother?"
Kurt paused. "I- yeah. I never told you that?"
"No…"
"Oh, well, yeah. Finn. He's my step-brother actually. My dad married his mom about a year and a half ago."
"You don't get along?"
"Eh, well… We get along well enough. Just sometimes he disregards my personal space and privacy."
"I disregard your personal space all the time." Blaine joked.
"Mmm, yes." Kurt hummed, "But that's a lot more welcome. I give you permission."
Blaine laughed, "Good to know."
"So… you're an only child, right?"
"Hmm? Oh- yeah. How-"
"Your file didn't list any family other than your parents."
"Hey, not fair. Your file doesn't have half as much information as mine."
Kurt snorted, "Yes, but I'm not the dangerous one."
"That's yet to be determined, Kurt Hummel." Blaine's tone was low; dark. "You think I'm dangerous?"
"I can only go what they give me, Blaine." He paused remembering the words he'd read, "Aggravated assault."
"I won't- I'm not… I'd never-" Blaine struggled to find the words. He wanted to explain that he'd never intentionally hurt Kurt, but the words wouldn't leave his mouth.
"I understand, Blaine." Kurt spoke and Blaine let out a relieved breath, "I know there are things I don't know about you and your past. And I know better than to pressure you into talking about it." There was another pause and Blaine bit his lip, wanting to speak but not trusting himself to. "Just know that whenever you want, I'm here to listen, without judgment."
Blaine rolled his eyes, "You're only human, Kurt. There's no way you can promise not to judge me. You don't know what I've done."
There was a moment and Kurt's hairs stood on end. "I- no, I don't know what you've done, Blaine. But I know that you're not heartless. I know that you're only human and people make mistakes. Some more severe than others but there's always chances for forgiveness and redemption."
Blaine didn't answer for a minute and Kurt was afraid he'd said something wrong.
"I wan- want to tell you things, Kurt. I want to tell you a lot -and that right there? It's fucking insane to me because I don't talk about this shit. I just don't. But you- you're… I don't know. You- fuck. See? I'm already doing it. I don't even realize it with you, Kurt. I just start babbling on and on and before I know it, I've regaled my whole life to you. How do you do that?"
Kurt's chest tightened and he felt lightheaded with all of what Blaine was saying to him.
It'd always been obvious that Blaine found him attractive; sure. But this- this was far beyond the physical. Blaine was comfortable with him. He trusted him. Like really trusted him. Kurt smiled, heat rushing to his cheeks.
"I just care about you, Blaine. I care about everything. Your grades, your future, your past, your happiness; all of it."
"I don't see why."
"I can't imagine why not. Those people who have tossed you to the side and treated you like you were nothing – I can't even begin to comprehend what their minds must be like if they could do that to you."
"I'm used to it."
"You shouldn't have to be. You deserve so much better than that, Blaine. You're so much better than you give yourself credit."
"You're… god. If I don't leave now, I'm going to regret it, so- I… thank you, Kurt. I just… just thank you."
And the line went out, leaving Kurt alone with his thoughts.
Conversations like that didn't come often. They mostly kept it light, and flirty, and sometimes a little naughty. Kurt enjoyed every second of his talks with Blaine. At first, Blaine called every few days. But as the time went on, it became a nightly ritual.
"Sometimes I feel like some giddy schoolboy around you and that really pisses me off."
Kurt bit back his laughter, "Well you've certainly got the outfit for it. Might as well feel the part."
"Ha, ha, yes, laugh it up. But I'm serious. You've got me calling you every night. There's something wrong with me."
And Blaine sounded so serious, Kurt actually barked with laughter. "I'm sorry that I have such a horrible impact on you." His tone was light, he knew Blaine hadn't meant anything bad toward him, he just wanted to have a little fun with him.
"Mmm, you should be sorry. God, Kurt, you're such a bad influence."
"Yes, with my tutoring and overall concern for your success. I can see where you could get that."
Blaine chuckled, changing the subject, "Hey, so I'm off kitchen duty this Saturday…"
Kurt's eyebrows shot up, "Oh? Have anything else planned?"
Blaine sighed, "Possibly… I had my heart set on getting a little frisky with this hot guy in the back of a movie theater."
"Yes, I'm sure it's your heart that you're thinking with." Kurt smirked, his pulse quickening at the thought of their impending time together.
"Okay, so maybe my dick had something to say about it. You caught me."
Kurt shivered at Blaine's words. "Right. Well then." He cleared his throat and tried to will away the images of the two of them in a dark theater. "So, Saturday. Our Second date."
"Damn straight, or… well… not so straight. Very, very gay in fact." Blaine paused and Kurt rolled his eyes, "If you could wear something with as few bells and whistles as possible, that would be appreciated because I plan on getting into your pants."
"Blaine!" Despite himself, he bit his lip at the thought.
"Hey, at least I'm being honest. Actually, you should be thanking me for making you aware of my intentions beforehand."
"Oh,well in that case, thank you." Kurt replied sarcastically.
"My pleasure." And Kurt could hear the smirk in his voice.
Kurt sighed, "Why do I put up with you?" Kurt realized, after the fact, that his statement could be taken the wrong way, but it seemed that Blaine hadn't taken offense.
"Because I'm sex-ay."
"Well, there's that." His smiled.
"And you're sexy, too. Together we're like super-sexy. We could be a crime fighting duo."
"I want you to think about what you just said, and tell me what is wrong with it."
"…"
"How will you fight crime, when you're in a reform school?"
"Hey, it's called a reform school for a reason, Kurt." Blaine answered in faux seriousness, "I'm feeling positively saintly." Kurt tried to stifle his laughter.
"Says the boy who wants to start a super-sexy crime fighting duo. What exactly will we be fighting? Crimes of the flesh?"
"Yes, exactly. We shall force everyone to be naked, all of the time. It's illegal to wear clothes; extra illegal if you're part of the super-sexy crime fighting duo."
"Mhm, sounds about right." Kurt gave up trying to stop himself from laughing. "You're ridiculous."
Blaine didn't laugh, "No, Kurt…" He paused dramatically, "I'm sexy."
"Blaine."
"Kurt."
"Blaine, stop, this is strictly study time. Can't you wait, like an hour?"
"Let me think about that one…" Blaine feigned thought as he continued to mouth at Kurt's neck. "Mmm-no."
"Blaine, seriously. If you don't stop, this whole thing stops."
Blaine sighed, slumping against Kurt in defeat. He lolled his head on Kurt's shoulder, looking up at his profile, "You're just so hot… stop being so hot."
Kurt blushed, "Blaine, our date is literally in an hour, just work with me here for that long and then we're home free, okay?"
Blaine sat up, begrudgingly, "One hour and then I get to touch you."
Heat spiked through him; images of Blaine's hands roaming over his arms, chest, thighs – filled his mind.
Nodding briefly, he pushed himself to continue their work.
"You two are going to see The Smurfs movie? Really?" Andy's raised eyebrow told them that he was onto them.
"It's supposed to be really good." Kurt insisted.
Blaine smirked, "We're going to sit in the back of the theater and make out for an hour and a half. Got a problem with that, Drew?"
Andy laughed, "Not at all, kid. Just keep in mind that this is a kid's movie, so there will be children around. Nothing NC-17."
"Shit." Blaine murmured under his breath. Apparently that thought hadn't occurred to him. "Duly noted."
"Right. Get out of my car before I change my mind about not going in with you."
They made their way into the theater and Blaine paid for their tickets after a small argument and Blaine's stubborn insistence.
They forego any snacks, the prices alone making it a ridiculous idea on top of the fact that their mouths had other plans for the afternoon. They entered the theater, and noticed that there weren't many other occupants. Two families, and three couples, it looked like. Kurt still felt a little awkward, despite the lack of audience.
They made their way to the very back of the room, opting for the back corner where there was a couplet seating option to the right of the aisle. Blaine let Kurt in first, and then took a seat for himself, raising the armrest immediately.
The previews had just started, and Kurt stomach twisted nervously. He knew Blaine had plans. Blaine had told him his plans. But he didn't think he felt comfortable enough to do that with children around. He hoped Blaine would understand.
"Hey, look at me." He felt and heard Blaine whisper against his cheek.
Kurt turned to him, their faces close; noses touching. Blaine's fingers ran softly over Kurt's jaw until he had it cradled in his palm. Blaine Kurt swallowed before opening his mouth, taking in short breaths. The heat of Blaine's gaze, made his breathing speed up, and Kurt's eyes flickered to Blaine's mouth. They were breathing each other's air for what seemed like forever.
It was a gentile moment. Unlike any other they'd shared. It was intense, but in a slow, beautiful way. Kurt felt heavy as he watched Blaine's eyelashes flutter as he blinked. He wanted to lean forward just a little and press their lips together, but he felt almost stuck in this spot; in this moment.
The theater darkened even further, signaling the start of the feature. Alternately, it seemed to set the two of them into action. Blaine closed the small distance between them, his lips pressing softly to Kurt's. Kurt gasped at the feeling it brought him. It wasn't that he had forgotten what it felt like to have Blaine kissing him, but this was different. Usually Blaine was all hands and tongue and desperation. This was slow, tantalizing; powerful. Blaine leaned into the kiss, opening his mouth against Kurt's as he did the same.
"Perfect." Blaine whispered, pulling back and resting their foreheads together, his eyes shut tightly.
Confused, but not at all disappointed by Blaine's change of demeanor, Kurt placed a hand on the side of Blaine's neck. "Blaine?"
Blaine opened his eyes, looking into Kurt's momentarily before pulling away, shaking his head. It was obvious that he didn't want to talk about whatever was making him act this way.
He pressed back in, this time with more force and conviction. It was over, Kurt realized. Blaine was licking at Kurt's lips, which he granted access to instantly. Blaine's hands moved to grip at his waist, pulling him closer. Urgently, Blaine's lips traveled across Kurt's cheek and to his ear where he took the lobe into his mouth, nibbling and sucking at it.
Kurt tried to keep quiet, but it was proving hard as Blaine moved down his neck, biting and smoothing his tongue across his skin. Kurt bit his own lip to keep himself from moaning.
The movie played on and Kurt could see it in his peripheral vision. Slowly he became more and more aware of the people around them and less interested in the wet slide of Blaine's lips.
"B- Blaine…" He whispered, his breath shaking.
"Mm?" Blaine continued his mission of trying to create a rather dark hickey at the base of Kurt's neck. He'd definitely be wearing scarves for the next week or so.
"Blaine, can- can we just- not in here?"
Blaine pulled away, breathing heavily, his eyes dark. Kurt let out a hearty breath at the sight of him. He looked wild.
He smirked, "Come with me."
And Blaine grabbed his hand, pulling him down the steps and out of the room as quickly as possible.
"Where are we going?" Kurt asked, but Blaine ignored the question, tugging him along as he made his way determinedly down the hallway.
They reached a door and Kurt noted the sign above it said, "Exit to Parking Lot."
"Blaine. We're not leaving." Kurt stated firmly, trying to pull his hand from Blaine's hold.
"No, we're not. Just- trust me."
He opened the door to find a dark, barely lit hallway. He walked them further, until Kurt noticed an inset in the wall. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was a door. Blaine opened it, and Kurt groaned.
"A janitor's closet? Really?"
"Hey, it's better than a bathroom, and it's big for a closet. C'mon."
Kurt sighed, grimacing at the cleaning supplies. It was clean, and spacious. It was probably the same size as the bathroom would have been, but there was more room. As soon as they were inside, Blaine pressed Kurt against the door, locking it quickly to be safe.
Placing his leg between Kurt's, he leaned up to capture his lips once again. Kurt felt Blaine, half-hard against his thigh. He took in a shaking breath, despite the absolute lack of romance of being in a closet full of cleaning products, he was extremely turned on.
Blaine's tongue pushed past both sets of lips, massaging Kurt's own. Groaning, Blaine ground his hips against Kurt's, aching for friction.
"Fuck, Kurt." Blaine's hands traveled down to grasp at Kurt's ass, bringing them even closer.
Kurt's cock strained in his jeans, "Blaine," He whined as Blaine attached his lips to his neck.
"So hot, so beautiful, so perfect." Blaine chanted into his skin, as they rocked their hips together.
"Blaine, please." Kurt's voice sounded on its own accord, he didn't know what else to say; he just needed.
"What? What do you need, tell me." Blaine made his way back up to Kurt's ear, kissing the spot underneath it.
"Need… you." He gasped out, his hips jetting forward when Blaine nipped at a particularly sensitive spot underneath his jaw.
"Yeah? Want me to touch you? Want my hand on your cock?" Blaine's words smooth yet filthy, echoed in his mind.
Nodding his head violently, Kurt bit his lip. Blaine smirked, drinking in the sight of him before reaching for the button of Kurt's jeans.
"I'll take care of you, baby." Blaine comforted him, pulling Kurt's pants down enough to palm over his cock through his briefs.
Kurt keened, grabbing Blaine's face and pulling him into a fierce kiss.
"Mmm, you're so good, Kurt. So-"
"Fuck!" Kurt interrupted as Blaine found the waistband of his briefs, taking his cock in his hand and thumbing the head.
Blaine chuckled, watching as Kurt unraveled in front of him. His eyes wide and mouth open in awe. He pumped his fist, noticing Kurt's eyes roll up into his head. Kurt wanted desperately to return the favor, he wanted to take Blaine in his hand, take them both together in his hands, fucking themselves against each other, but he was already so close. He wondered vaguely how he was even still standing.
"Bl-aine…" Kurt begged, and as if he could sense what was wrong, Blaine lifted his hand to his own mouth. Kurt's hips rutted into the air helplessly before Blaine's hand returned, spit covered and slick.
A long groan escaped Kurt; the feeling of Blaine's hand sliding wetly over his cock was just what he needed. He felt the familiar tight heat coiling in his belly as Blaine leaned in, his hand still working diligently at his cock, placing his lips close to Kurt's ear.
Kurt's breathing grew shallower, and Blaine breathed hotly against him, "God, you're- jesus."
"I- I'm…"
"Yeah, come on, Kurt." Blaine kissed up his jaw and pressed their mouths together hotly. It was all tongue and teeth and absolutely dirty, but it was perfect and Kurt broke at that, spilling over Blaine's hand and on the floor.
Blaine stroked him through it, his hips stuttering against Kurt's as he groaned into his mouth. He pulled away to bite Kurt's shoulder as he rocked his hips one, two, three times and came in his pants.
He panted heavily against Kurt's chest, slumping against him and the door as he came down.
"That was-"
"So hot."
Kurt laughed, "Agreed."
"So, some second date that was."
Kurt raised an eyebrow, "It's not over yet."
Blaine narrowed his eyes, "Well, if you're expecting a round two, I'm all for it, but-"
Kurt laughed, "No, Blaine. I can barely even move. You really know how to wear a guy out."
Blaine wagged his eyebrows, "Yeah, I do."
Kurt rolled his eyes, "Moment, over." He announced, pulling his pants back up and grabbing a roll of paper towel from the shelf. Thank goodness for the cleaning supplies.
They cleaned themselves up and headed out the door toward the lobby.
"Well, we still have like, an hour until Andy comes to pick us up, and there's nothing here but an arcade and I'm going assume you don't want to do that, so…"
"What makes you assume that?" Kurt questioned, shooting him an incredulous look.
"I don't- I mean… do you?"
"I will kick your ass in any shooting game, I promise you that, Anderson."
And oh, did he live up to that promise. They played a total of 30 games, 29 of which, Kurt won. The only reason he didn't win the last time was because his gun malfunctioned and didn't work for half of the game and Blaine refused to call it a draw.
"How did you get so good at that?"
"Well, I have to bond with Finn somehow." He sighed, a smile on his face, "We started playing these sorts of games together a few months after our parents got married and I quickly became way better than him at it. He doesn't even like to play me anymore because he says I cheat. Which is ridiculous, I mean, how would you even cheat at that?"
"Oh, I don't know… snipping the wire of their gun so that it malfunctions would probably be considered cheating to some people and could possibly work. Maybe." Blaine batted his eyelashes, feigning innocence.
Kurt gasped, "You didn't! Blaine!" He reprimanded, but his smile remained.
Blaine held up his hands, "I admit to nothing."
"Absolutely ridiculous." Kurt shook his head.
"But you like it."
Kurt took a moment to make eye contact with Blaine. His eyes were shining and it took all Kurt had in him not to physically gasp at how gorgeous he was. This was Blaine. He was sneaky and tricky and completely unpredictable. He was beautiful and intelligent and funny. He was intense and passionate and inadvertently sweet. He was Blaine.
"Yeah… I do."
