"Play it then!" Jeff said whilst playing with Nick's fingers.
Blaine pressed the Play icon and watched the screen as Wes moved to the other side of Blaine so he could see the screen.
It showed one of the bookcases at the back of the library and walking towards the bookcase was a boy. Blaine had never seen this boy before and it almost seemed impossible that he had missed him. This tall, beautiful boy with pale, porcelain skin and dark hair. The camera seemed to start to shake a bit.
"Jeff, were you hiding behind a bookcase?" Wes asked from beside Blaine.
"No, I was hiding underneath a desk thank you very much. Now shut up and watch the video." Jeff replied looking up from Nick's hands. "I think you'll appreciate what I found."
Blaine, Wes and David all focused on the screen again. Watching the supposed ghost.
He seemed to be putting away a pile of books. Working his way down the aisle and singing to himself very quietly.
"Jeff, we can't hear him." David complained.
"Well turn it up then. Don't worry; he starts to get louder in a bit." The blonde boy's smile was starting to get Cheshire cat standards.
Blaine, Wes and David leaned closer to Jeff's phone hoping to be able to hear something.
"I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind"
"Oh my God!" Wes' face was the picture of bliss.
"Are you sure that's him singing?" David asked Jeff.
"There wasn't anyone else there at the time. Just him and me." Jeff was almost jumping in his seat at this point. "So do you believe me now Blaine?" The excitable boy said as he turned to look at the silent Warbler.
"Ummm…Jeff I don't think it's a ghost. Whoever that is though we need to find him and get him on the Warblers." Blaine's face was still looking shocked and dazed.
The video was still playing on the phone.
"Come on skinny love what happened here
Suckle on the hope in lite brassiere
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Sullen load is full; so slow on the split."
Some of the other Warblers turned at the beautiful voice coming out of the phone.
"What are you guys watching?" One of the boys on the end of the table asked.
"Evidence!" Jeff blurted while Nick laughed at how over excited his boyfriend was reacting to showing the video off.
Wes turned to David and Blaine, "I think we need to find this guy. He's brilliant."
"I don't recognise him though." David frowned.
"Maybe the others know who he is. Do any of you recognise this guy?" Blaine asked the table and passed Jeff's phone around.
The table mumbled a collected no and went back to eating.
"We'll have to find him." Jeff announced while getting up from the table. The rest of the boys were confused as to where he was going with this new mission. "Blaine, you promised me." The blonde boy held his hand out to Nick, the brunette boy taking it with a smile and they left the cafeteria for their next lesson.
---------------------------------------
"DAVID GET BACK HERE!"
David was running down the corridor, a panic look plastered on his face. Another shout rang down the corridor followed closely by loud footsteps. David headed for a door, opening it and quickly shutting it behind him.
"DAVID!" Wes' yells getting quieter as he continued down the corridor.
David let out a breath and looked around the room.
"I thought this room was empty…" he mumbled to himself.
He started to look around the room. It was a single dorm. Bed made, bookshelf organized and not a piece of clothing on the floor. The corkboard was covered in pictures. Mostly ones that must have only been taken in the past couple of years and then one very old one in the centre. This one picture looked slightly out of place. Most of the pictures included teenagers, sometimes adults included, but this one was of a woman with a small child on her lap. The boy in the picture must have only been five or six. The woman with beautiful chestnut hair seemed to be teaching the little boy how to hold a teacup probably. Both of the subjects of the picture not looking at the camera but David could see the ranges of emotions on display. The woman; with pride and adoration as the small boy copied her actions and the boy; proud to show her what he could do.
David looked at some of the other pictures and then realised. He was in them. Jeff's 'Ghost'.
David got his phone out of his pocket and started to document his…evidence.
The room suddenly got quieter and then there were footsteps coming from inside the bathroom.
"Shit." David made his way carefully out of the room, closing the door softly behind him and heading towards the senior commons. What he had found, he was almost certain that his friends would want to know.
---------------------------------------
Blaine was sitting on one of the couches in the senior commons trying to get a History report finished. Trying. Suddenly one of his earphones was taken out of his ear.
"-aine! Blaine!" The startled boy looked up at David with a confused expression.
"Sorry. Umm…What do you want David?"
"I found him." David stated.
"Wait-what? Found who?" Blaine was becoming more confused as the conversation drew on.
"Jeff's ghost." The tall boy tried to explain to the tired teenager.
"DAVID!" Wes appeared in the doorway and jumped at David tackling him to the ground. The two boys rolled around on the floor for a couple of minutes before Blaine decided to interrupt them.
"Guys. Guys?" Blaine sighed. Standing up, he jumped onto the other two and stopping Wes from pinning David to the floor.
"What are you doing Blaine?" Wes asked him while flailing his arms around trying to hit David.
"Stopping you from killing David. Why are you here anyway?" Looking between the two slightly out of breath boys.
"He glued my gavel to the ceiling." Wes shot a glare at David.
David began biting his lip, trying not to laugh and failing miserably. "How do you know it was me? It could have been Blaine!"
"He's too short even if he stood on a step ladder." Wes scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"AM NOT!" Blaine yelled at Wes.
"ARE TOO!"
This time it was David's turn to break it up. He pushed both boys onto the couch.
"BLAINE. WES. If you could both give me your upmost attention for the next ten minutes or so I think you'll both appreciate what I have found."
Both boys shut their mouths and looked at David with questioning eyes.
"While Wes was chasing me earlier I slipped into what I thought was an empty dorm but inside I quickly discovered it was not." David started to pace in front of the couch.
"I looked at the corkboard on the wall I saw a display of pictures, not unlike the very ones in each of our dorms. I looked closer at a couple of the pictures and saw that the boy in the video that Jeff showed us was in these pictures. Look!" He got his phone out and showed the two other boys his evidence with a smirk on his face.
Wes flicked through a couple of the pictures on the phone and his face lit up.
"You found him!" Wes whispered.
Blaine took the phone from his friend and looked at the pictures for himself and indeed, right there was the boy. The beautiful boy with the beautiful voice.
"Where did you find him?" Wes asked David taking the phone back from Blaine. "We need to get him to join the Warblers, like, now."
"Whoa, dude, chill." David stood in front of the rambling boy. "We can't go now. Curfew's soon and I don't think this guy will like it very much if we knock on his door and demand he try out for the Warblers."
"But we need him." Wes pleaded turning to Blaine. "You agree with me, right Blaine?"
Blaine shook his head. "From what we've gathered, whoever this is has only just transferred. That or they're really unsocial. Maybe we could look for him tomorrow at breakfast? It's the weekend tomorrow so we can look for him all day."
"Great idea, hobbit." David teased, poking Blaine on the nose. "Now come children, to our dorms." The tall boy put one arm round both of his friends' shoulders and guided them to their dorms.
