Author's Notes: Oh. My. God. I am sooo sorry. Life got away from me for a while there. Anyone still reading this? Title is from Lights Out by Breaking Benjamin.

Blaine pulled the bandages away and sighed. These had been deeper than he'd intended. Oh well. He'd stopped bleeding, at least. He didn't feel too dizzy. A glass of Hawaiian Punch and a few Oreos and he'd be fine. He just needed some sugar. He sighed and quickly rinsed the blood out of the sink and off his knife, hiding it under the cabinet again. He re-wrapped his arm, then checked his old cuts, from right after he and Kurt had sung together. That had been a horrible night. His arm had looked like raw hamburger when he'd stopped, and he'd had to put some super glue in the cuts to help them close up. It had burned like hell, but it had stopped the bleeding. He was pretty sure that was what had kept him from bleeding out. He needed to be more careful.

"You're cutting too close, Blainers," he mumbled, looking at his reflection in the mirror. "You should be more careful." He sighed, running a hand through his hair and going downstairs to get something sugary in his stomach.

Blaine sat in the corner once again in Glee club. He paid no attention to anything that was going on, instead writing a song or two in his head. Each one involved suicidal thoughts in some form. That seemed to be all that he though about lately... He jumped when he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder, turning to see Kurt there.

"Hey, can we talk?" Kurt asked softly. Blaine sighed.

"Yeah, I guess." Kurt sat down beside him, worry shining in his cerulean eyes.

"Blaine... I know I have no right to say this, but I'm really worried about you. I want to help you get better." He placed a gentle hand on Blaine's knee. "You don't have to be like this, Blaine. You can be happy."

"I'm fine. Thanks for your concern, though," Blaine spat.

"Really? How are your wrists?" Kurt said sarcastically. Blaine shot him a dark glare. "This is why I want to help you, Blaine. I went through this when I was thirteen. It's not a fun path to go down."

"Why do you care? No one else does," Blaine said, eyes dark.

"I care because... you're my friend, or at least I want you to be." Blaine looked up at him with a lifeless quality to his eyes.

"No you don't. You don't want a friend like me. I'm not worth the effort," Blaine said flatly. Kurt swallowed the lump in his throat.

"Everyone is worth effort, Blaine. You're worth it." Blaine shook his head.

"No I'm not. I'm broken, Kurt. You have to understand that. I don't cut because I have a shitty family, I don't cut because I'm gay, I cut because something horrible happened to me and nothing was fucking done about what happened. I cut because the person who hurt me is still out there, he's still fucking happy, and I'm not, and it's not fucking fair!" Blaine's voice slowly became a shout as the truth came out, tears running down his face. "You don't understand what happened to me! I'm glad you don't, because no one fucking deserves this! No one deserves to be fucking terrified to date people or be intimate with someone because someone else hurt them! No one deserves to be scared to love someone because they have flashbacks every fucking day of their life!" Blaine suddenly noticed that he was yelling and looked up to see everyone staring at him in shock. A few of the girls had tears running down their faces. Blaine stood and left the room, knowing he couldn't possibly face this now, of all times.

End Notes: I'm sorry about the wonky font. I'm on an iPhone and have no clue how to fix it. :/
