"EW! EW EW EW!!!" Elizabeth yelled as she walked into the living room and found her parents making out on the couch.

"Elizabeth, what are you doing home?!" Blaine cried, accidentally shoving Kurt off the couch in his haste to right them both.

"Ow!" Kurt cried indignantly.

"Sorry, love," Blaine murmured, helping him up off the floor. "But, back to my question, what are you doing home, young lady? It's only ten in the morning, you should be at school!" Elizabeth's face dropped. She looked like she was going to cry.

"They were calling you fagots, ok?!" she screamed, tears filling her expressive golden eyes. She'd gotten Kurt's emotions, making it easy to make her cry, but paired with Blaine's eyes it was a heart breaking thing to see her cry.

"Baby," Blaine said softly, getting up.

"No! Leave me alone! You made me a freak! Why couldn't I have been aborted like everyone says I should have?!" she screamed before storming up to her room. Blaine stared after her, eyes shocked and hurt.

"I-I..." Kurt stood up and wrapped his arms around Blaine as he began to cry, maneuvering him so his head was cradled against the taller man's shoulder. "H-how could she t-think that?!"

"I'm sure she doesn't, Blaine," Kurt said softly.

"B-but she said it! Why would she say it if she doesn't mean it?! I-I thought she l-loved us, Kurt, I thought she was happy..."

"Here, sit, I'll go get her, ok?" Kurt murmured, gently pushing him down so he was sitting on the couch. Blaine complied and sat down, burying his face in his hands and crying hard. Kurt kissed his forehead softly before going up the stairs to their daughter's room and knocking lightly on the door.

"Go away, Dad!" she screamed, her voice rough with tears. Kurt rolled his eyes and opened the door. "I SAID GO AWAY!" Elizabeth screamed, sobbing hard.

"Well, the knocking was a courtesy, sweetie. I had no intentions of listening to you if you told me to leave, because I have a feeling we need to have a serious talk," Kurt murmured. "Can I sit down?" She stared at him for a second, then sighed.

"Fine, but only because I know you're not gonna leave no matter what I say," she mumbled.

"That's not true. I'd leave if you said that you didn't love me anymore and meant it," Kurt said softly. "It would hurt, and I'd probably bawl my eyes out for a long, long time if you did, but I'd leave if it made you happy." She looked up at him, eyes wide.

"I would never say that to you, Daddy!" she said.

"Well, Blaine thought you'd basically said that to him when you told him you wished you were never born," Kurt said softly. Elizabeth's eyes widened, more tears falling.

"I-I didn't mean it, Daddy, I promise, I-I was just mad," she whimpered.

"I know, honey, but it really hurt him. He's downstairs crying right now, because he thinks you don't love us anymore," Kurt said softly. Elizabeth's eyes widened and she shot off the bed, running down the stairs to throw her arms around Blaine.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, Mommy, mi dispiace!" she sobbed, hugging him hard. He wrapped his arms tight around her, pulling her up so she was sitting on his lap and burying his face in her curls, sobbing. Her saying that brought back a memory of him crying in his mom's arms after he'd just told her he was pregnant with the little girl in his arms now. "Mi dispiace, mamma, mi dispiace," he'd said. Had it only been eight years ago? Elizabeth began pressing kisses to his cheeks and forehead and nose, whispering she was sorry between the tiny pecks and sobbing.

"It's ok, baby, it's ok," Blaine whispered to her, kissing her forehead this time. She curled into his chest, and she felt so small to him now, like she could easily be taken away from him. He cradled her in his arms like he had the day she was born, looking down into the eyes she'd gotten from him. She was his baby, his little girl. What if some ignorant asshole took it too far? What if one of their so called "harmless" pranks landed her in the hospital, or worse, six feet under? He shuddered at the terrifying thought, holding her a little tighter. Eventually, she fell asleep in his arms, like she had so many times in her short life, and he kept holding her, pressing kisses to her forehead. She's eight fucking years old! Why should she have to go through this now?! Thoughts like this swirled through Blaine's mind and made him feel like he was going to be sick. He sighed and got up, carrying Elizabeth up to her room again. He laid her down gently in her bed and tucked her in, pressing a kiss to her forehead again. He began to sing softly, more for himself than her.

"Ninna nanna, ninna oh,
Questo bimbo a chi lo dò?
Se lo dò alla Befana,
Se lo tiene una settimana.
Se lo dò all'uomo nero,
Se lo tiene un anno intero.
Ninna nanna, ninna oh,
Questo bimbo me lo terrò."

The lullaby ended and Blaine wiped his eyes, standing up.

"I love you, Lizzy bear," he whispered before walking to the door. He turned off the light and closed the door, before leaning against it and slowly sliding down it until he was sitting on the floor, quiet sobs clawing their way up his throat.

"What's wrong, baby?" Kurt asked him, kneeling beside him.

"She's so fucking delicate! What if they hurt her? What if next time it's not just calling us fagots, what if next time it's shoving her into a locker or locking her in a closet?" Blaine whimpered, turning to bury his head in Kurt's chest. Kurt sighed and pulled him close, kissing his forehead. "Did you call the school?" Blaine mumbled, his voice muffled by Kurt's chest.

"Yeah. The principal said she already knew she was gone. Apparently she'd went to the bathroom and hadn't come back, then the teacher sent a girl down and she said she wasn't in there. But luckily, she's not getting in serious trouble, after I explained to her what had happened, adding to that the fact that Elizabeth's had otherwise perfect attendance and that she hadn't been feeling well this morning anyway." Blaine sighed and ran a hand over his stomach, feeling the slight bump already beginning to grow there. He'd only been pregnant for about two months, and he definitely could feel it. It was worse than with Elizabeth, because this time the morning sickness didn't just stay in the morning, it went all day and all night. Sometimes his retching woke both Kurt and Elizabeth up. The night before had been a bad night, also, meaning that Blaine had little patience today.

"God, I'm kind of regretting the decision to get pregnant now," he said, his head falling back against Elizabeth's door with a soft thud. Kurt sighed and kissed his temple.

"Come on, I'm going to give you a massage," Kurt murmured, standing up. They went into their bedroom and Kurt instructed Blaine to sit on the bed before he moved to kneel behind him, beginning to gently knead the shorter man's shoulders. Blaine moaned softly in pleasure.

"That feels really good," he said softly, making Kurt smile. He slowly moved his hands down Blaine's back, being careful not to be too rough, not wanting to hurt anything. When he'd finished, Kurt gently guided him down so he was laying on his left side, then wrapped his arms around him, kissing his neck softly.

"Sleep, baby. You had a bad night last night," he murmured.
