"I'll be right back, sweetie," Blaine said, setting Elizabeth down on her favorite blanket in the living room. He put her favorite toys on the blanket and kissed her forehead before going into the kitchen. They'd completely baby-proofed their new apartment, which they'd gotten when Blaine was about seven months pregnant and had decorated for them to move into when Elizabeth was born. Blaine got a bottle of formula and quickly heated it up, then walked back into the living room and gasped when he saw Elizabeth holding onto one of the dining room chairs, standing up on wobbly legs.

"Lizzy," he said softly, setting the bottle down, crouching down, and holding out his arms to her.

"Mama," she squealed. She began to take shaky steps toward him as Kurt came into the room.

"Shh," Blaine told him. "Come on, Lizzy, come to mommy," he said to the baby girl, who was still making her way over to him. She fell once, but got back up and continued toward him. Eventually she got to him and smiled as he picked her up.

"Aww, her first steps!" Kurt said, grinning. Blaine smiled widely.

"I always knew she was a Mama's girl," he said, grinning and brushing his nose against hers, making the little girl giggle.

"Mama," she said, hugging him. Blaine smiled and kissed her forehead, brushing her curly hair out of her face. She smiled a little and laid her head on his shoulder. "Mama, mama, mama!" Kurt pouted.

"Can you say 'dada'?" he asked.

"Mama!"

"Ugh, I give up!" Kurt said, sitting down in one of the dining room chairs. Blaine smiled and handed him Elizabeth, who gurgled happily and kissed her father on the cheek.

"Dada!" she squealed.

"Oh, so now you say it!" Kurt laughed, holding her close and kissing her forehead.
