Author's Notes: Another chapter! Thanks for the reviews guys!!! Means so much <333 Thanks for reading!!!

“Hey Uncle Finn!” Candie cheered excitedly at a freakishly tall guy who walked into the classroom.

“Hey little lady, how was my favorite niece’s first day of school?” Finn asked playfully ruffling her hair in a familiar gesture.

“It was awesome! And I’m your only niece silly. Mr. A is a great teacher! And don’t mess up my hair.” She said pointing sternly.

“Jesus, she’s just like Kurt.” Finn said putting his hands up in mock surrender.

“Mr. A is certainly not awesome. Candie’s first day might have been okay but daddy and mommy got detention.” Santana complained.

“So this isn’t gonna be like high school were you just give the teacher a blow job and he lets you slide?” Finn teased.

“Watch it Finn. Don’t need Candie thinking I’m a slut.” Santana said shooting him a glare. “Plus Frodo’s probably about as gay as Kurt.” Santana laughed.

“Mr. A’s a dolphin?” Candie asked excitedly.

“Oh god, you’ve been spending too much time around Aunt Brit haven’t you?” Santana laughed.

“How did you know I’m gay?” Blaine asked confused.

“Oh please in high school I was a closeted lesbian and a judgmental bitch, which means I have perfect gaydar.” Santana snickered.

“I live in a closet.” Candie chimed in.

“Not the same thing sweetie.” Finn laughed.

“Alright Finn, go take Candie for ice cream and then take her home. I’ll deal with Frodo and hopefully Kurt can still make his date.” Santana said ushering Finn out the door and kissing Candie on the cheek.

“Your family is confusing.” Blaine stated as Santana sat down.

“Not really, Kurt and I are both gay. Candie was our accidental miracle. We live with my girlfriend Brittany, Kurt’s step-brother Finn and his fiancée Rachel. Pretty simple.” She shrugged.

“How old are you?” Blaine asked.

“Twenty-one. I had Candie when I was sixteen and Kurt was fifteen. We’ve been doing just fine ever since, and think what you may about us but we are devoted to Candie. Our crazy little family loves her to death. We’d do anything for that girl.” Santana answered.

“Who dates into this crazy little family, they’d have to be pretty insane.” Blaine laughed.

“Apparently you do. Hey Blaine, or would you prefer Mr. Anderson?” Kurt laughed as he walked in to take a seat next to Santana.

“Kurt?”

“Oh my god! I knew you looked familiar! You’re the idiot who spilled his coffee all over Kurt this morning! You’re the idiot who’s supposed to be going on a date with Kurt tonight!” Santana laughed hysterically. “This is fucking priceless!” She laughed as Blaine stared at Kurt.

“Hello Mr. Anderson, please allow me to apologize for Santana. She has absolutely no filter, I’m sorry if she offended you or anything.” Kurt laughed as Santana hit him upside the head.

“I didn’t offend the hobbit! He offended me!” Santana said crossing her arms.

“I didn’t mean to offend you Ms. Lopez. I simply said I thought your family was a little unethical and I wanted to hold a meeting to make sure Candie is okay.” Blaine replied.

“My daughter is just fine, thank you. We are devoted to her, and we try our hardest to provide the best for her. So we live in a one bedroom shoebox apartment with six people? So most nights we have to survive on ramen noodles? So what her gay parents had her in high school and had to forgo college to raise her? We do our best! Candie is happy and healthy and loved.” Kurt said holding Santana’s hand as he spoke defending their family.

“I didn’t question your love for your daughter, Kurt. I just think it may be hard for a twenty year old raising a five year old in such crazy conditions. It’s my job as a teacher to spot things like these and report them. Candie’s living conditions are not very good and I need to protect her, and if not report such scenarios.” Blaine stated professional.

“Don’t you dare think about calling no social worker foolishness hobbit! I will cut you if you even think about such a thing! I am from Lima Heights Adjacent! Do you know what happens in Lima Heights Adjacent? Bad things!!!” Santana yelled practically climbing over Blaine’s desk.

“San, cool it. You’re not helping our case.” Kurt said pulling the Latina back and into a hug as she cried.

“I just don’t wanna lose our baby.” She said in between sobs.

“We’re not gonna. We’ve fought so hard all our lives, I love you San and I love Candace, we’re not losing her.” Kurt said comforting the crying girl.

“I love the both of you so much.” Santana cried.

“Now Blaine.” Kurt said still holding Santana in his arms. “Candie is in perfectly capable hands. She has two parents who love her, two aunts, an uncle, and pretty much all of our neighbors care for her dearly. She is loved. Yes we struggle to make ends meet from time to time, but Candie is always in our best interest. I’d do anything for my little girl, and so would everyone else in our family. And as gorgeous as I may think you are, I am not letting you take away my child.” Kurt said sternly.

“I’m sorry Kurt. I’m sorry Santana. I did not mean to offend either of you. I just wanted to talk to make sure Candie is okay, I didn’t mean to make you feel like I was going to take away your daughter. I’m so sorry.” Blaine said explaining himself.

“It’s fine.” Kurt shrugged.

“So this may be incredible awkward after everything, but I’d still like to go on that date with you Kurt.” Blaine smiled and Kurt blushed.

“Really? After finding out I have a kid? After finding out about my crazy family? You still wanna go on a date? I mean you said yourself someone would have to be insane to date into this family.” Kurt laughed.

“Well call me crazy, but I’d really like to go on that date with you. Not only are you the gorgeous witty person I met this morning, you are a caring and loving devoted father and I respect that. Yeah I’d really like to go on that date.” Blaine smiled.

“You can come over for dinner tonight.” Santana suggested. “It’s the least we could do after I flipped out on you.” Santana laughed.

“That sounds lovely.”

i just love candie's unconventual family. they are so muy loca! can't wait for this dinner date; it gonna be, ahem, awkward at best :)

Hehe they're a little quirky. And dinner will be a little more than awkward... Awkward would be your teacher coming to dinner...awkwarder would be your teacher dating your father and coming to dinner...awkwardest would be the dysfunction of their family plus all that. Thanks for reading <333
