“I still remember the look on your face. Been through the darkness at 1:58. The words that you whispered for just us to know. You told me you loved me so why did you go away? Go away.” Kurt sang his words dripping with emotion as he stared into Blaine’s hazel eyes.

“I do recall now the smell of the rain. Fresh on the pavement, I ran off the plane. That July 9th the beat of your heart. It jumps through your shirt; I can still feel your arms.” Kurt sang wrapping his arms around his body.

“But now I’ll go sit on the floor wearing your clothes. All that I know is I don’t know how to be something you miss. Never thought we’d have a last kiss. Never imagined we’d end like this. Your name, forever the name on my lips.” Kurt sang as a single tear slipped down his cheek.

Sitting in the audience Blaine wiped away his own tears as the memory of their goodbye kiss flooded his mind.

“I do remember the swing of your step, the life of the party, you’re showing off again.” Kurt sang smiling to himself and rolling his eyes fondly. “And I roll my eyes and then you pulled me in. I’m not much for dancing but for you I did.”

Blaine felt even more emotional remembering the night he and Kurt danced in the moonlight by the lake. It’s like this song was meant to destroy him.

“Because I loved your handshake, meeting my father. I love how you walk with your hands in your pockets.” Kurt sang walking forward his hands in his pockets. “How’d you kiss me when I was in the middle of saying something. There’s not a day I don’t miss those rude interruptions.”

Kurt sang thinking of all the times Blaine would just lean over and kiss him to cut him off from talking.

“And I’ll go sit on the floor wearing your clothes. All that I know is I don’t know how to be something you miss. Never thought we’d have a last kiss. Never imagined we’d end like this. Your name, forever the name on my lips, ohhh.”

“So I’ll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep. And I’ll feel you forget me like I use to feel you breathe.”

Blaine couldn’t help but remember how sometimes late at night he’d roll over in bed and he’d be able to watch Kurt looking as beautiful as ever sleeping in the bed next to him.

Kurt took his off of Blaine to look at Wes and David as he sang. “And I’ll keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are.”

“Hope it’s nice where you are. And I hope the sun shines and it’s a beautiful day. And something reminds you, you wish you had stayed. We can plane for a change in weather and time. I never planned on you changing your mind.” Kurt sang emotionally as he stared at Blaine.

He looked down sadly and continued to sing. “So, I’ll go, sit on the floor wearing your clothes. All that I know is I don’t know how to be something you miss.”

“I never thought we’d have a last kiss. Never imagined we’d end like this. Your name, forever the name on my lips. Just like our last kiss, forever the name on my lips. Forever the name on my lips, just like our last…” Kurt sang beautifully ending his song looking down.

The audience burst into applause giving him a standing ovation as he bowed slightly and returned to his seat.

“Kurt that was beautiful!” Rachel cheered hugging him and kissing the tears of his cheek. Something Blaine used to do.

“Yeah Kurt that was awesome! Was there some one here you were singing to?” Wes winked knowingly.

End Notes: TBC.*Kurt's song: Last Kiss by Taylor Swift.
