Author's Notes: Talent show continued.

“Okay next up is Mercedes Jones.” The announcer said as Mercedes took the stage.

Mercedes had decided on her song after she heard how Blaine ended things with Kurt. She was the only one Kurt confided in and she knew the perfect song to sing to make Blaine feel like an ass.

The music started and she made her way to center stage.

“One, two, three.”

“Nowhere, yeah we’re going nowhere fast. Maybe this time I’ll be yours, you’ll be mine. C-c-crazy, ah, get your ass in my bed. Baby, you’ll be just my summer boyfriend. Summerboy.”

“Let’s get lost, you can take me home. Somewhere nice, we can be alone. Bikini tops, coming off.”

“Don’t be sad when the sun goes down, you’ll wake up and I’m not around. I’ve got to go, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. We’ll still have the summer after all.”

“Sometimes you might start a fight, but I’m happy pretending we’re alright, alright.”

“Sun glasses cover up my green eyes. My martini glistens, yeah. While checking out other guys.

“Hey, there summerboy. Let’s go for a drive. Take me for a ride. Never gonna close our eyes.”

“Hey, there summerboy, I’m a busy girl. Don’t got too much time. Hurry up before I change my mind.”

“Hey, there summerboy, I’m taking off my heels let’s go for a run. Have a little summer fun. Have a little summer fun.

“Let’s get lost, you can take me home. Somewhere nice, we can be alone. I’ve got my summer, summerboy.”

“Don’t be sad when the sun goes down. You’ll wake up and I’m not a round. I’ve got my summer, summerboy. And we’ll still have the summer after all.”

“I’ve got my, yes, I’ve got my. I’ve got my summer, summerboy.”

Mercedes sang flawlessly never taking her eyes of Blaine.

Her song ended and everyone applauded.

“Great job ‘Cedes. Although I can’t shake the feeling that you directed that song at Blaine.” Kurt laughed with his best friend.

“Thanks boo, and no that song could have been for anyone. He just needs to know that it’s not okay for him to mess with you because you’re good enough to get even.” Mercedes smiled fondly.

“Okay ‘Cedes. I’m going to go wish him luck and get ready for my own song.” Kurt laughed hugging his friend and leaving.

“Hey, um Blaine.” Kurt said looking down.

“Yeah Kurt?” Blaine asked.

“Break a leg.” Kurt smiled. Break a leg like you broke my heart.

“Thanks, I think you’ll like the song.” Blaine smiled.

“Up next one of our camp counselors Blaine Anderson.” The announcer smiled.

The music started up and Blaine took center stage.

“It was 1989, my thoughts were short, my hair was long. Caught somewhere between a boy and man. She was seventeen and she was far from in-between. It was summertime in Northern Michigan. Ahh Ahh Ahhh. Ahh Ahh Ahhh.” Blaine sang searching the audience for Kurt’s smiling face.

“Splashing through the sand bar. Talking by the campfire. It’s the simple things in life, like when and where. We didn’t have no internet but man I never will forget the way the moonlight shined upon her hair.” He smiled thinking of Kurt in the moonlight.

“And we were trying different things, we were smoking funny things. Making love out by the lake to our favorite song.” He sang this time winking directly at Kurt who blushed at the memories.

“Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking ‘bout tomorrow. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long.”

“Catching Walleye from the dock. Watching the wave’s roll of the rocks. She’ll forever hold a spot inside my soul. We’d blister in the sun; we couldn’t wait for night to come. To hit that sand and play some rock ‘n’ roll.”

“While we were trying different things, and we were smoking funny things. Making love out by the lake to our favorite song. Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking ‘bout tomorrow. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer.”

“Now nothing seems as strange as when the leaves began to change. Oh how we thought those days would never end. Sometimes I hear that song and I’ll start to sing along. And think, man, I’d love to see that girl again. Man, I’d love to see that girl again.”

“We were trying different things, we were smoking funny things. Making love out by the lake to our favorite song. Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking ‘bout tomorrow. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long. All summer long. Singing ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ yeah singing all summer long.

Blaine ended the song his eyes still glued on Kurt and smiled. Yes, although it was for the best, he’d never truly forget Kurt. He had been his first love. Probably first and only.

“Great job, Blaine.” Kurt smiled patting him on the back as Kurt made his way to the stage.

“Next, we have Kurt Hummel.” The announcer said.

The music started and Kurt took made his way to the center of the stage looking over the audience and smiling as he saw his friends.

Rachel had helped him pick this song and it was absolutely perfect.

He spotted Blaine, took a deep breath and sang.

End Notes: TBC.*Mercedes song: Summerboy by Lady Gaga.*Blaine's song: All Summer Long by Kid Rock.

Damn you and your CLIFF HANGERS ... update please <33333

Oh this is awkward...So I was like why is everyone reviewing telling me to update immediately? And when you said cliff hangers I was really confused because I didn't leave any. So I went back and checked the last chapter, turns out when I copied the text from my word document to upload it for some reason it didn't copy the last section of the chapter. Thus leaving it like mid sentence, and a cliff hanger. I am so sorry for that. But that's really funny cause the whole time I was like I didn't leave any cliff hangers!!!! But yeah guess I did. whoops. Any way I'll just put that in the first part of the next chapter, and I'll update soon. Thanks for reading <3
