“Okay! Kurt do you want to go next?” Rachel asked excitedly.
“Sure, why not.” Kurt half smiled taking the iPod and pressing play.
“Uh huh. Life’s like this, Uh huh, uh huh. That’s the way it is. ‘Cause life’s like this. Uh huh, uh huh. That’s the way it is.” Kurt started the song not looking at no one in particular.
“Chill out. What you yellin’ for? Lay back it’s all been done before. And if, you could only let it be. You will see.” He sang, chancing a look at Blaine, who the song appeared to be hitting.
“I like, you the way you are. When we’re drivin’ in your car. And you’re, talkin’ to me one on one. But you’ve become.”
“Somebody else. ‘Round everyone else. Your watching your back like you can’t relax. You tryin’ to be cool. You look like a fool to me.” Kurt sang now making direct eye contact with Blaine.
“Tell me. Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated? I see the way you’re actin’ like you’re somebody else. Gets me frustrated. Life’s like this. You fall and you crawl and you break and you take what you get, and you turn it into. Honestly, you promised me I’m never gonna find you fake it. No, no, no.” Kurt sang beautifully.
Blaine was on the verge of losing it. He had become someone else around everyone else. Who he was to his friends and who he was to Kurt were two different people and he hated that. The song was right, he was always watching his back, and he couldn’t relax. He was always so worried about keeping up an image with Wes and David and friends from school that he could never just relax. He could never just be himself. And to Kurt, he probably did look like a fool.
“Somebody else. ‘Round everyone else. Your watching your back like you can’t relax. You tryin’ to be cool. You look like a fool to me.”

You fall and you crawl and you break and you take what you get, and you turn it into. Honestly, you promised me I’m never gonna find you fake it. No, no, no. no, no, no. no, no. no, no, no. No, no. No, no, no. No, no.”
Kurt finished the song and everyone clapped.
Blaine and Kurt exchanged a look and shared a mental message of we need to talk.
Mercedes went next singing a moving love song and David and Wes followed doing a poorly executed rap number. Rachel and Finn sang together, and by the time everyone was done they decided they should get to sleep.
Mercedes and Rachel went back over to the girl’s cabin, while the boys got ready for bed here.
The next morning before breakfast Blaine and Kurt went for a walk so they could talk.
“So..” Kurt said softly breaking the silence. What he wanted to say was ‘So they don’t know you’re gay?’
“I’m sorry.” Blaine sighed.
“It’s fine.” Kurt shrugged.
“I really care about you Kurt.” Blaine said softly, bringing his hand up to caress Kurt’s face.
Kurt was a little confused. Yeah someone that cared about him would surely make him hide their relationship. Was this a relationship? Whatever it was Blaine’s friends didn’t even know he was gay and that’s why Blaine was hiding Kurt. Kurt felt a little relieved at that. He wasn’t being hidden because he wasn’t good enough for Blaine, he was being hidden because Blaine wasn’t out yet. He could deal with that.
“I really care about you too.” Kurt smiled.
“It’s just so hard. I really really like you, but no one can know.” Blaine shrugged.
“It’s okay. I like you too Blaine. If you don’t want anyone to know about us I won’t tell. I promise.” Kurt sighed.
“What are we?” Blaine asked.
“I-I don’t know.” Kurt shrugged.
“I’d like us to be boyfriends. Is that okay with you?” Blaine asked.
“Sure, I’d love to be your boyfriend.” Kurt smiled.
“Yay!” Blaine said excitedly before pulling his boyfriend in for a kiss
They kissed passionately for awhile, all wrapped up in each other. Their minds too consumed with thoughts of each others to notice two people watching.
“Mercedes! That’s Kurt and Blaine!” Rachel exclaimed pointing to the two boys kissing by the lake.
“Oh my God! I’m so happy for Kurt!” Mercedes beamed.
“I didn’t know Blaine was gay?” Rachel said confused.
“Me neither. I wonder how long this has been going on. And why they’re hiding it?” Mercedes asked.
“I have no idea. We should ask Kurt later though.” Rachel suggested.
“Alright, sounds like a plan.” Mercedes smiled.
“Can’t believe Kurt got himself a man and didn’t even bother to tell his best friends.” Rachel grumbled.
“Oh hush. I’m sure it was for a good reason. We’ll talk to him later.” Mercedes smiled still watching the boys kiss heatedly.
“Or we could go interrupt them now.” Rachel smiled.
“Hmmm. Okay!” Mercedes laughed.
“KURT HUMMEL! You have a boyfriend and you don’t even tell us? What the fuck?” Rachel playfully scolded.
Both boys pulled away quickly and turned to the petite brunette in front of them.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Kurt said sternly.
“Kurt’s not my boyfriend. And I’m not gay.” Blaine said defensively before storming off.
“Maybe we shouldn’t have interrupted.” Mercedes shrugged as tears begin to build up in Kurt’s eyes.
