After a good ten minutes of sitting there waiting, Karofsky sauntered into the room and stood in front of Principal Figgins desk, not even acknowledging the other people the room.

Figgins, unsure of how approach this, began to speak with caution.

“David, I have heard that your bullying of Kurt Hummel has escalated quite drastically.” Figgins said sternly, not accusing, just stating.

“And who told you that?” Karofsky snapped back as he looked amongst the faces of the Glee club.

“Never mind that, reports were filled by teachers and students about your behavior towards him.” Figgins replied.

“So I shoved him in the hallway a couple times, what’s the bid deal?” He said feigning innocence.

“David, we know you have had previous trouble with Kurt. And with what’s happened to him now, and with we’ve been told about your behavior towards him and the threats you have made we need to talk to you. We need answers.” Mr. Schue cut in.

“Like I said, I shoved him in the hall a couple times. What’s the big deal?” Karofsky asked.

“There is more than that and we are all well aware of it, so care to explain?” Mr. Schue asked.

“Well whatever you’ve heard is a lie, the little fag probably made the stuff up.” Karofsky stammered.

“Language.” Figgins warned. “David, you have been bullying Kurt for years, and from what I’ve been told you’ve been doing a lot more than what you’ve been leading on to.” Figgins said looking in Karofsky’s eyes.

“Dave, your bullying has really hurt Kurt.” Ms. Pillsbury said sadly.

“And how would you know? Did the fag-” Karofsky started. “Language.” Figgins cut n. “I’m sorry did the fairy come crying to tell you I’ve been giving him a hard time?” Karofsky joked.

“No, actually he came to me because what you have been doing to him has led to him starving and cutting himself. The only time he even mentioned you was when we talked about the reasons for which he did such things.” Ms. Pillsbury replied.

“And after his session with Ms. Pillsbury Kurt came back bloody and beaten.” Mr. Schue added.

“Maybe he fell down the stairs, I don’t know.” Karofsky said.

“Dave, I’m sure by now you have heard about what happened to Kurt and why he’s not in school today. Friday afternoon he returned to get his bag from the choir room and was beaten, stabbed, and raped. He was found bleeding to death by his boyfriend and step-brother.” Figgins said grimly.

Even though most of the glee club knew all about the incident it still made everyone shiver.

“And, I’m sure you know that as of right now you are a prime suspect.” Figgins added.

 “Why am I a suspect? Like I’d ever rape him. Maybe he’d like it, but I’m NOT gay.” Karofsky said his voice cracking a little and going a little higher than expected. He was losing his cool.

“We’re not accusing you of anything David.” Figgins said.

Yeah they were.

“I didn’t do anything to that little fag.” Karofsky said as he walked out of the room.

He ran down the hallway.

He was caught.

After Karofsky stormed out Ms. Pillsbury turned to Finn.

“Hey Finn, how’s Kurt doing” She asked genuinely concerned.

Finn filled everyone in on his current condition, his injuries, how he was recovering from them, and how he was going back to visit after school today.

“Kids, I think we’re just going to cancel glee club today. One of our family members isn’t okay and I think the last thing we need right now is to add on the stress of nationals. We’ll have rehearsal all the rest of the week, just not today.” Mr. Schue explained.

The all nodded in agreement before Figgins excused them.

As Finn began to walk out everyone told him to send Kurt their best wishes.

He got in his car and drove to the hospital.

Across the parking lot Dave Karofsky sat in his parked car.

Crying.

He had been caught.

What was he going to do?

How long would it be before the police would come arrest him?

Oh God, he was going to rot in prison,

Why had he done that to Kurt?

Was it just because he said he would?

Was there something more?

Something more like Karofsky loved Kurt, Kurt hated him, and for just once he wanted to feel intimate with someone he loved, someone like Kurt, someone of the male variety.

Dave Karofsky was gay.

He had been struggling with it for awhile now.

That’s why his bullying of Hummel started.

He had a crush on him and he didn’t know why so he turned to pushing him away.

His crush turned into lust, hence the kiss.

Immediately he knew he was gay.

What would others think?

That’s why he threatened him; he couldn’t let this get out.

He kept torturing him however, to provoke fear, and to make sure he wouldn’t tell.

Slowly Dave Karofsky fell in love with Kurt.

He felt bad for hurting him.

He even tried asking him out.

But then he showed up a school, covered with hickeys, like some slut.

Hickeys from his boyfriend.

His boyfriend.

Why couldn’t Karofsky be his boyfriend? He wondered to himself.

The fact that his love could never be returned drove him mad; of course he took his anger out on him.

The thing is Kurt took his anger off on himself as well.

He felt bad that it was because of him Kurt did those things. He really did feel bad.

But when he found out the entire glee club knew about what happened, he lost it.

They had no right to know.

How dare Kurt go off and tell them.

He even told Kurt not to tell anyone.

He couldn’t be trusted to be quiet anymore, he had to be ended.

So that’s why he did it, he summed up for himself in his mind.

It wasn’t justifiable what he did, but it was to protect himself.

Maybe things got a little out of hand.

He could have just stabbed him, but raping him. That was entirely another thing. He knows why he did it. But he also knows why he shouldn’t have. Had it not been for raping him he probably could have gotten away with it.

Things had definitely got out of hand.

What was he going to do?
