Finn looked in the mirror and he could already see the swelling around his eye.
He poked at it and then winced and once again poked at it and winced.
Needless to say he did that a few more times.
Don’t question what goes through his thought process.
He heard the door open and turned to see it was Puckerman who had entered.
“Sup.” Puck said. “Woah dude, nice shiner. What the hell happened?” Puck asked as he reached over to touch Finn’s eye, to which Finn winced.
“Karofsky.” Finn grumbled.
“This is getting old; something has to be done about it.” Puck said as he grabbed Finn’s arm. “Come on.”
“Where are we going?” Finn asked, he was more so confused than curious.
“Somewhere I never go by choice, the principal’s office.”
“How come?”
“Because we need some help, we need to do something. I know typically I’m a fuck up, but we just need to help Kurt. Do what’s right.” Puck said in ‘duh’ tone of voice.
“Why are you being so nice?” Finn asked confused.
“Because dude, Kurt’s been struggling for years. And if you don’t recall I sure as hell do, we used to be the ones bullying him. Throwing him in dumpsters, pushing him around, slushying him, beating him up. I mean I know what Karofsky was doing and did to him is way way way worse, but still I can’t help feeling a little guilty for the reason Kurt’s been so depressed. You know? Like he said, he’d been unhappy for years. Don’t you think we were partially the cause?” Puck explained.
“Nah, Kurt loved me. Plus I never personally bullied him.” Finn said trying by failing to comfort himself.
It couldn’t really be his fault could it?
“Dude. You were there when we threw him in dumpsters, you were there when we threw pee balloons at him, and you were there when we picked on him for being gay and beat him, hell you even got kicked of his house for calling him a fag in their basement.” Puck countered.
The memories stung Finn, sure they’d gotten past all that. Finn had been forgiven, Kurt even forgave Puck and the other jocks that harassed him.
That was Kurt for you, loving, and forgiving.
Sure he’d never forget and he was as good as the girls when it came to harboring grudges, but most of the time he seemed carefree and happy.
All though they now knew that was all a façade.
Finn took what Puck said to heart.
Could he really be one of the reasons Kurt was so depressed?
Was he one of the reasons Kurt took to cutting himself.
He was pretty awful to him.
Finn felt sick as they made their way down the hallway to Principal Figgins’ office.
“Principal Figgins, we need to talk.” Puck said bluntly.
“Okay, have a seat boys. What is this about?” He asked concerned.
Finn and Puck explained everything to him.
Everything.
He nodded and remained silent during their explanation.
It was a long story but he seemed to follow.
Finn had to admit, talking to someone who had a little bit of authority in this school about the situation gave him hope, and it made him feel like something could be done to stop this.
Puck was right in having them come here.
“I cannot believe what I am hearing, that is awful. We must confront Karofsky immediately. How could a situation such as this become so escalated?” Figgins said after their story was complete.
“I will inform your teachers you will be missing class, we will be having a meeting with him right now.”
They nodded.
“And Finn, is it safe to say that black eye id from Dave as well?”
Finn nodded.
“Okay, as I call this meeting is there anyone else who knows?” he asked.
“Yes, the entire glee club knows, Mr. Schuester knows, Kurt talked to Ms. Pillsbury, our parents know, and Blaine-who is Kurt’s boyfriend-knows.” Finn explained.
“Okay, as of right now I will gather Will and Emma, the glee club, and David, for our meeting. When the police get further involved we will hold a similar meeting along with your parents and this Blaine kid.” Figgins explained.
The nodded as he paged said people.
One by one the group piled into the tiny office.
Mr. Schue and Ms. Pillsbury were the first to arrive seeing as how they weren’t in class right now.
The glee club piled in one by one shortly after.
And once all of the glee clubbers were in they had just one more person they were waiting for.
David Karofsky.
Comments
I can so not see them piling into Figgins' tiny office XD Nice chapter though. =P But I think in reality Figgins probably would have just called the police. =^-^= But that's ok. I like the drama.
Yeah drama and dysfunction is what I was aiming for :) Thanks for reading!
