Author's Notes: Warning mentions of depression and mental disorders.

Kurt felt relieved after telling Doctor Sandra everything, maybe this would help him tell Blaine later.

“So Kurt, it is very beneficial to your process of healing that you admit you have a problem and that you yourself want help. Both of which you have done. So good job. The next step would be finding the root to your problem.” She explained.

Karofsky he thought to himself.

“By this I mean we need to determine if you have any underlying mental disorders. You will need to go through psychoanalysis and various testing to see what is going on in that pretty little head of yours. After being properly diagnosed it will be easier for us to play out the most tactful way to go about treating you. Understand?” she said.

“Yes, I understand.” He smiled.

After various little mind tests that Kurt didn’t really understand he was back in Doctor Sandra’s office.

Some had been the typical inkblot tests and the one where you say the first thing you think of, but others had been very um science-y. They took cat scans of his brain and examined stuff, they whole process seemed like it belonged in a sy-fy movie pr something equally as weird.

Doctor Sandra returned examining a file that he assumed where his results.

“How bad is it?” He asked.

“I’m not going to lie to you Kurt, it’s pretty bad. But that’s okay, know that we know what you are dealing with we can treat you.” She explained.

“Okay.” Was all he could say in response.

“You a very serious case of depression, you also have a severe anxiety disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, mood disorder, personality disorder, clinical depression, anorexia nervosa, Ego-dystonic homosexuality, body dysmorphic disorder, neurasthenia, and  self-defeating personality disorder.” She explained.

“Oh. Okay. I don’t have any idea what any of those are.” He sighed.

“It’s okay I’ll explain.”

“Do tell.”

“Well assuming you already know what depression and anxiety are…Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, is a mental illness acquired after undergoing a seriously traumatic experience. This was probably brought on by the attack. Mood disorder would be because of the polar oppiste change in your moods and stability. Personality disorder would be regarding to your paranoia and fear of abandonment. Clinical depression is a mood disorder referring to when you experience intense and sustained sadness, melancholia, and despair. Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder. Ego-dystonic homosexuality is not being comfortable with your sexuality. I know you said you were out and proud but constantly having to deal with hate because of it makes you subconsciously want to be perceived as what others would call normal. Body dysmorphic disorder, you see yourself as fat but to be honest you are sickly skinny from starving yourself. This one was probably a result of your anorexia. Neurasthenia involves somatic complaints as well as fatigue and depression. And Self-defeating personality disorder is when you never think you are good enough in whatever you do. Whether it not be good enough for someone else or yourself. Any questions?” She said.

“How can I get better?” He frowned.

“Well along with a long long long list of medications and prescriptions. I think it would be best to move you into the psychiatric ward in the Lima Hospital where you can be looked over by various psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and clinical social workers. There you can receive the psychotherapy and psychiatric medication you need. Along with our therapy sessions three times a week. I will speak to your guardians and then you will be placed into the care of the psychiatric ward and in social exclusion.” She explained.

“Do you think that will work?” He asked.

“I do believe this would be your best option Kurt.” She replied.

“What about money? I don’t want my family to have to pay the expense.” He sighed.

“Well the clinic you would be sent to is free so it would just be the cost of medications which I’m sure your insurance would cover.” She answered.

“Okay.” He replied.

“Anything else?” She asked.

“How long would I be there?” He asked tentatively.

“As of right now I can’t say. It would depend on how you were recovering. But as for school work and everything you’d be able to complete that their so you wouldn’t fall behind.” She answered.

“I think I’m going to do it. I need help, and if this is what you suggest is best than I’m going to do it.” He said.

“Very good Kurt, I shall notify your guardians and I guess you shall be admitted there maybe tomorrow if they agree.” She said.

“Okay.”

“Our session is over. It was a great start, and I’m looking forward to helping you. Have a nice evening.” She said shaking his hand.

Kurt exited the room and ran to Blaine.

“How’d it go?” He asked.

“I’m pretty fucked up, but I’m going to get help and I’m going to be okay.” He said happily.

“I’m glad you’re going to be okay.”

“But, I’m going to be away for awhile. I’ll be staying in the psychiatric ward of the Lima Hospital. I’m not sure for how long. But it’s what I need. At least until I’m healed.” Kurt said sadly.

“It’s okay Kurt.” Blaine held Kurt’s face in his hands. “Look at me. If you need to go, I want you too. I’ll be here when you get out I promise. Right now the most important thing to me is your health. If this is what’s best it needs to happen. Find out the visiting hours and I’ll be there every day. We can go on dates inside the compounds of the hospital it doesn’t even matter.” Blaine kidded his forehead.

“What if I’m in some padded room in a straight jacket? I’m really messed up Blaine.” Kurt cried.

“Kurt I am crazy about you. Hahaha I’m so crazy in love with you they might need to have me fitted for a straight jacket of my own. Okay that was pretty cheesy. But for real I will be waiting for you. I’ll wait forever if I have too. But I know when you’re all better and out of there I am going to marry you and we will live happily ever after. Okay?” Blaine smiled.

“I love you. You are the best boyfriend ever.” Kurt smiled and kissed Blaine.

“I love you too!” Blaine said against Kurt’s lips.

“Come on, I only have a day left in the outside world, let’s make the most of it.” Kurt winked.
